Character permission Third Active Character
Name:Lucca Ataruso
Race: Echani/Human...Echuman >.>
Age: 18
Height: 6'1''
Weight: 185 lbs
Birth place: Coruscant
Appearance:
Already very tall for his age, Lucca stands out in crowd with his pure, silver white hair and vivid green eyes that cut from chalk pale skin. Echani are known to look the same for most of the outsiders, which is the first thing that marks him as not the part of a pure bloodline. His features are sharp, still bearing more similarity to his father than mother, as unique genetic process of Echani DNA warrants.
Lean and athletic, he certainly took the body built of his Echani ancestors, though he is more on a skinny side, thought it is more due to his poor appetite than anything else. Years of training in martial arts gave him decent musculature, nevertheless his silhouette and features still retain boyish traits with potential of Lucca becoming a very good looking man.
Lucca's clothes are plain, he prefers utilitarian, simple and effective to luxurious.
Personality:
There is something about Lucca's attitude that immediately puts people off. Whether it could be his arrogance, aloofness or just plain bluntness. Echani culture taught him honesty and the boy took that lesson very seriously. He says what's on his mind all the time, rude or not. It's not any aggression on his part nor malice but rather lack of social skills and tendency to speak when not warranted out of sheer need to share the observation.
His observations can be annoying accurate as the boy is very smart but not always caring enough to stop his tongue from flapping, in result being an awkward outsider most of a time.
Despite his problems with integration into a group, his focus on rational rather than emotional adds to helping form plans. Lucca is observant and perceptive, often seeing things at interesting angle. Which has its downsides as it bears restless curiosity and his questions about motives or personal things often seem intrusive which only further alienates him from others.
Hard-working, preferring order to chaos, Lucca has a very mild form of OCD that is a hindrance more for his brothers in arms than him. He doesn't like when plans rapidly change which lessens his adaptability in those difficult, war times and can became surprisingly angry when someone is disturbing him at work.
Some of the Echani elitism did rub off on him and at times, especially when talking about something related to his field of work, can come off as arrogant and full of himself which grows irritating after a while, especially when he deems his partner less smart or just plainly stupid. Labelling is one of his problems.

The Fairy Tale
It was unusual for a farmer's daughters from Outer Rim to get a scholarship on one of the best universities and academies on Coruscant. So when the official letter came Charmaine Athlok was elated. The young woman, raised in poverty, but idealistic idealistic nonetheless packed her bags and kissed her proud parents good bye heading to medical school for better future.
School, work, school, work. Months went by without much of variety until one evening she let herself to let out some steam and went to one of the popular clubs. This was a moment Charmaine became a firm believer of notion that nothing happened by accident when a handsome, radiantly pale man asked her for one dance. One turned into many and only when the impatient manager demanded them to leave, the cheerful if slightly drank couple left the place.
Krevos Ataruso was an Echani officer and skilled martial artist coming from a prominent family on Eshan. Rich, brave, handsome – Charmaine couldn't believe her luck. They dated for a year, their bond growing stronger with every passing day and a marriage was natural consequence of that.
Race mattered little to them, neither made much of a problem, unlike their families. Charmaine parents objected an alien in family, whereas Ataruso looked down on paupers from Dantooine, even if their daughter would become a doctor. Krevo's side of the family threatened to disown him, ruin his reputation, mark as a black sheep but none of it worked.
Love prevailed and the couple married during both, Echani and Dantooine ceremonies. They were happy, refusing to listen their respective families and in the end they won. Animosities were still present between their kins but no one was disowned and the newlywed where welcomed both on Eshan and Dantooine, even if Atarosu family didn't fail to show their disappointment in Krevo's.
Or What Seems Like One
Lucca was born with minor complications in Coruscant hospital, few days before his mother's graduation. The boy was healthy, despite the initial difficulties and happy parents took their child home.
He wasn't a difficult boy to raise. First few years Lucca spent with his mother, a kind and loving person, if with fiery temperament while his father finished last 3 years of duty before finally retiring from the military, taking a position of security chief in one of Coruscant large corporations. His mother often traveled for months long trips to Dantooine where she worked voluntarily as a doctor for the poorest. Sometimes the woman would take young Lucca with her, so he could spend those weeks with his grandparents who came to love the white haired boy. The same couldn't be told for his Echani side of family, nevertheless Krevo took his son more than once to visit Eshan.
Years went by and when Lucca turned five his father began to train him in Echani martial arts as tradition of his people dictated. Not wanting to disappoint, the boy tried very hard to match the standards an Echani child would but he wasn't one which showed in slight clumsiness of movements and not so perfect spatial orientation as a full blooded Echani would. Feeling his father's displeasure, the boy very hard tried to outdone himself.
When You Think Your Dreams Came True
Finally the training started ti pay off, though Krevo refused to train boy more than his body could take but Lucca was stubborn and steadily his skills grew under patient tutoring from his father. This was also a time when Lucca went to school and the trips between three planets had to stop. His mother didn't want to resign from voluntary work and Krevos didn't push the issue. He stayed with the boy most of a time on Corsucant and so Lucca entered formal education system.
It was an expensive school, where children of many near-human Senators attended so the boy didn't really stand out from the crowd. Many would notice his unusual parentage but no one made any problem out of it. Of course racists happened everywhere but nothing the boy would experience first hand and with terrible intensity.
Quiet and rather shy, he preferred to study math and learn martial arts than make friends and stayed rather lonely. He had parents who loved and spoiled him, mother especially and their bond was strong despite many weeks of separation so he never saw any reason to find someone close among his peers. Pegged as a loner from early age, not many took interest in befriending him anyway and maybe if some teachers noticed a problem, they didn't much care as the boy did excellent at school.
Lucca excelled especially in math, which didn't change in years to come. Physics was his second love, and martial arts third though despite great intelligence, the boy had really difficult time learning rules of social life, often unable to understand why some words could be hurtful. Adherence to norm was never his thing though not in a rebellious and angry manner but more in misunderstanding their use.
When old enough, he began to learn basics of programming, slowly creating his own things and hacking into home computers. It was hard to describe Krevo's anger when he learned Lucca was looking over his files from his own device for couple of months. It was another thing the boy just couldn't learn – how come people needed privacy so much?
At the day of his fifteen birthday Lucca new fairly well how things worked in the computer, slicing simple programs were easy and it seemed he had a nack for walking around problems in a very creative way. Martial art training was still below average for Echani his age but his parents were elated with the talent in hard sciences their son displayed.
Never Lasts Forever
Not everything in life has to end, but when it does, has tendency to finish in a bitter manner that marks the rest of existence one way or another. For Lucca such day came when the Sith army invaded Dantooine and the planet was cut off from the rest of the Galaxy in a matter of weeks. The family couldn't be called nothing else but devastated.
Charmaine was planet side the day it happened and the family had lost all contact with her. No message, anything. Lucca seemed peaceful at first, unnaturally so, just closed himself in a room, refusing to leave it for days. His father tried to pull all the favors but the Republic couldn't do much at this point, what they could do was waiting, maybe Charmaine could find a ship out of the planet. Somehow.
While Krevo was drinking himself into stupor, Lucca looked for any possible way to the planet. Everything in holonet he could find, even trying to break into Republic government computers and few days before his sixteen birthdays managed to find a smuggler who would take him planetside for a hefty price.
When Krevo heard about his son's insane plan, the normally collected and rather cold Echani exploded with fury. The argument lasted few days and finally Lucca admitted there was nothing they could do, only wait for Republic to react. Krevo knew any action risking making Lucca an orphan and Charmaine would never forgive him, even in the afterlife as the man felt love of his life was dead.
Another couple of months slouched by with Krevo getting drunk every night and Lucca hiding in his room, skipping school when possible - though one day the boy packed a slightly larger backpack than usual and never returned.
It wasn't this hard to find the smuggler he had contacted months ago. The man had no calms about taking the kid's credits. To his credit, Lucca was already very tall for his age, looking at someone around eighteen rather than sixteen but it wouldn't make much difference even if the boy admitted he was in fact a minor and stole money from his father. Greed was a powerful incentive.
The pilot was skilled, even when drunk and they managed to slip past the Sith ships. After brief good by Lucca was on his own, on a planet he barely knew and with only few credits in his pocket. It wasn't long before he got into troubles when trying to break into a vending machine's program to steal a handful of credits. Only couple of days after arriving Dantooine.
The Sith soldiers who caught him weren't kind nor forgiving, especially for someone like Lucca who obviously wasn't a human. The boy fought back, even managed to down two opponents before strong punches and kicks brought him to the ground. They would certainly kill him, beat to death like an animal if not for one man who without hesitation shot the Sith attackers. In result saving Lucca's life.
So The Boy Has to Become A Man
The man called himself Dutch and was a part of the resistance fighting the Sith invaders. Lucca couldn't believe his luck and gladly accepted the offer to join the liberation movement. Even more so when Dutch told him he knew his mother and that Charmaine had died, helping DLA as one of their first operatives. Lucca didn't even expect how terrible this news would be, considering how he thought himself prepared for it. The boy slumped into a state of depression and indifference, only presence of people from the resistance managed to keep him from doing something stupid or reckless. After weeks of such slumber, Lucca slowly got back into the land of living with a firm decision to join the fight. Dantooine couldn't be called his homeworld, but Charmaine loved it and the boy was determined to avenge her any way possible.
The festering hatred toward the Sith grew even more when he had learned from the same smuggler who had brought him to the planet, that his father had been caught trying to breach the Sith barricade of ships and as prisoner of war taken to some remote planet in Outer Rim. Lucca would never even learn it if not for the fact Krevo had hired the smuggler's friend who managed to send him a message before Sith attacked.
Feeling guilty over bringing such fate to his father, Lucca hoped defeating the Sith on Dantooine would let him find Krevo alive. Any attempts to leave the planet would fail otherwise, as the tight ring of Sith ships tightened around the planet. There was nothing left but to fight.
After a year Lucca lost any will to participate in revolution, seeing it vain and fruitless. Costing too many lives. Disgruntled he left the ranks, leaving former comrades behind and seeks now a way out of the planet.

”One...two...three...” Soft hiss of the console betrayed problems with the data core. The white haired boy, in his late teens , barely before twenty, touched the metal surface and cursed feeling rising heat. His long, chalk pale fingers moved toward the haptic keyboard and with rapid clicks the holoimage displaying strings of code died. Lucca leaned back in his chair, wondering if a solid kick would save him a trouble. DLA needed better equipment, desperately and the young man felt almost offended when forced working on such junk.
Deciding the console was dead and any attempts to revive it were doomed to fail, Lucca stood up, tempted to do some cleaning. The small apartment was a mess. He believed that his brothers and sisters in arms had no idea what 'tidy' meant. Shaking his head, his absinthe gaze swept across the room. Five paper bags, left over food and socks laying all over the place. With heavy sigh Lucca began the weekly ritual, yet again hating himself for breaking under the mess. Every time he would promise himself to wait until someone else's frustration will grow more than his.
But that moment never came, nine days was the silent record and Lucca was fairly sure it was a source of great amusement for many in DLA. Such thoughts accompanied the boy and the simple gathering littered bags morphed into a cleaning rampage, including old magazines and scrubbing dirt off the windows.
Few hours later, the half Echani sat on a couch, relaxed and happy in a sterile space when the doors opened with a soft hiss. ”Dammit Lucca!!!!” Loud yell torn through the air which made the white haired slicer to jump up from the couch. ”What?!” The boy protested, oblivious to what could be wrong this time around. ”I didn't touch your stash of porn this time!” He huffed in a defiant manner, preparing for at least a mild punch.
