Name: Elara Antur.
Race: Near-Human, Morellian.
Age: Seventeen, 17.
Height: Five-Feet & Eight Inches, 5'6.
Weight: One-Hundred & Thirty-Nine Pounds, 129lbs.
Appearance: Elara Antur is a young Human female nearing her late teen years with an aura many find inculpable. Standing at a relatively average height for a young girl her age, her overall physical stature is far less imposing as compared to many of her brothers and sisters within the Jedi Temple. With skin reminiscent of polished-marble, one would hardly take Elara for a true member of the Order because of her fragile beauty. Green eyes sparkling in similar likeness to those of brilliant emeralds, though her most stunning feature rests within her long flowing beach-blonde hair. Typically fashioned in a series of braids or bound back with a series of bands and ribbons. Although she does not posses the perfect figure eight body type, Elara still provokes the attractions of others with her lean athletic-build. With a supple bosom, gentle hips and firm buttocks, she is still considered attractive.
With a preference for simple garments and light cloths, it is hardly a difficult task finding just about anything that Elara would not wear. Much akin to the typical clothing of her home world which consists of form-fitting clothing made primarily of her day-to-day clothing continues to consist primarily of her typical Jedi robes with a few modifications which remind her of her home. Along with these minor modifications, her clothing is designed to augment her natural quickness and agility by allowing her to make quick movements in which her clothing would hinder minimally. Using leather strips, she fashions wrist-bands and ankle bands to her body to help add the extra stability Elara requires when performing acrobatic feats.
Personality: Elara has always been considered a very charismatic and extroverted person. Even prior to her acceptance into the Jedi Order, she was very sociable with the other children her age. Despite her outgoing nature, Elara is very reserved in her actions. One would see these qualities as contradicting, though this simply became the result of instruction in the Jedi Code. Even during her youth, Elara took great pride in her station as a Jedi prospect which reflects outwardly through her avid interest in learning the way of the Jedi.
Of Elara's many interests, Nature is her greatest love. Since her youth, there has always been a powerful connection between her and the nature around her. This evolved into an extrasensory ability which was actually her becoming more accustomed to feeling the force around her. As a result of this ability, she hardly feels comfortable in larger cities such as Coruscant due to the lack of life.

Elara Antur was born to a humble home upon the world of Alvorine, a terrestrial world within the outer-rim. It was simply an act of chance that her parents came to meet and fall in love with one another, but it was destined nonetheless. Her mother, a former Jedi Knight and father, a well known botanist and apothecary from Alvorine. When the two finally settled down in the later years of their lives, the conceived a beautiful baby girl. The first few years of Elara's life were simple and carefree, much of her time spent playing on the beaches or in the forests with other children her age. When she was not playing, she was always at her father's side whenever her made an expedition into the forests and swamp-lands.
As the years passed, Elara's mother began to realize what was occurring in her daughter. The decision was made on the day of Elara's Sixth birthday that she would walk the path of the Jedi just as her mother did. Elara quickly refused her patent's decision, though there was truly little she could do to oppose them. With the choice made, Elara was taken to the local Republic embassy located upon her homeworld, Alvorine, where she was handed over to an elderly Jedi Recruiter.
The voyage was long and arduous on Elara's part as she had never left her homeworld. Feelings of abandonment and betrayal left her feeling hollow and lonely inside, though these emotions were soon overshadowed as the ship neared its destination. Mouth agape and eyes widened, the Jedi Temple stood tall in all of its majesty. It was truly a beacon of hope and prosperity within the galaxy. When she finally disembarked from her transport, she was greeted by one of the many Jedi Masters of the Order who escorted the young girl to her quarters. After giving her an itinerery for her day, the Master left Elara to change into her her new attire; the cloth of a Jedi.

The years passed quickly, and Elara, now nine, found herself immersed in the lore and stories of the Jedi Order. She was fascinated by the histories of the Order and its founding, and of the Masters of old. Much of her study of the Order was conducted within the Archives under the watchful eyes of the Keeper of the Archives who had offered Elara personal lessons. Many hours were spent meditating within the Temple's meditation gardens where she found herself most at peace against the rigorous training of the Order.
Elara excelled in the ways of the Force, quickly grasping the basic concepts of control and sense of matter. She was a skilled telekinetic for a child her age, and her skills were continuing to grow each day. Although she showed much promise within her manipulation of the Force, there was little to be said for her potential with the lightsaber. She was truely timid and found it very difficult to comprehend the idea of purposely harming another being. This resulted in her exceedingly low marks in her saber-training courses. When it came down to matters of the Force, Elara was considered top-tier, but in terms of saber-combat, she failed to show progress.
After many months and years of training, Elara gained the attention of a middle-aged Jedi Master who became increasingly interested in the young girl's progress. The man was known as Adni Zhet, a Nautolan Jedi Master who was known for his station as a Weapon Master. Seeing much potential in her, he began instructing her privately in the way of the lightsaber. Believing that Elara could utilize her natural agility and quickness to her advantage, Adni focused heavilly upon mastering her proper footing execution. The master believed that her lack of progress was not due to a lack of potential, instead it lied solely in her confidence in herself. The first few years of her time in the Jedi Temple, Elara spent to herself. However, as her time with master Zhet continued, she began to find her own self-confidence and define an image for herself. When the time finally came for the Younglings to be taken on by masters, Elara was chosen by Master Zhet and the two began wonderful relationship as student and teacher.

Although she had now been chosen as a Padawan, Elara's training continued within the Jedi temple for some time. With much of her time spent in meditation, the remaining free-time was spent performing nigh impossible training exercises for one so young and inexperienced. Master Zhet explained that this was simply preparing her for the real training, and so he persisted that she continue on. The exercises consisted of basic cardio which was comprised of timed laps around the outer perimeter of the entirety of the Jedi Temple which were held each morning at the crack of dawn. Following these tasks, long periods of stretching and agility exercises were conducted. As she continued to progress in these tasks, the margin for error and the allotted time began to wane. The objective, Zhet explained, was to push ones physical capabilities to the max to lessen the dependence upon the Force while simultaneously teaching one to utilize it as though it were second nature.
After spending a year within the Temple and running small assignment with her Master, Elara and Zhet soon took their training elsewhere -- offworld. Felucia was their destination, why, Elara could not understand. Master Zhet assured her that there was little to worry about, stating that it is simply a part of her training as well as an assignment from the Council. The two quickly departed for the jungle world of Felucia where her real training would begin. During their jump to light-speed, Master Zhet explained that they were there to assist a team of Jedi Researchers who are looking into utilizing the planet's flora to create new and more powerful medicines. Their primary objective was to help defend against the local people who have taken a liking to destroying their materials. Despite being trapped in a cramped vessel, Elara's training continued nonetheless. Cardio training was now supplemented with basic Force training and simple exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, etc.
When the ship finally groaned out of the light-speed, Elara found herself gazing upon a rather unassuming brown planet. As she ship drove through the atmosphere, her opinion quickly changed as she felt the planet as though it were speaking to her. With their ship touching down just beside their camp, Elara quickly disembarked to feel this world more closely. What she was met with made her feel whole inside -- there was life all around her; it was pure. This was unlike anything else she had ever encountered, particularly upon Coruscant. Elara felt at peace here.
Roran Nevex, a Jedi Biologist, was the first to catch Elara's attention. The man oddly enough resembled her father, sharing not only a likeness, but interests as well. Their mission was clear, however, this would not detour Master Zhet's training. The two began awakening before the crack of dawn and trek deep into the forest to begin their day's training. A sixteen kilometer run into the forest, followed by a series of force exercises which included levitation and physical augmentation. Master Zhet was considered a master in the art of Force Speed, and used a wide array of Force abilities to augment his own physical capabilities.
Once the sun had finally risen, the Researchers would begin to daily tasks and sampling of the planet's flora. This meant that their training for the morning had to be completed in full before the sun rose or else the next day's work load would be far more substantial. Elara was very interested in Roran's work and the man welcomed her curiosity. Despite Master Zhet's warnings, Elara chose to study Botany and Biology under Roran rather than taking the time to rest and meditate. There was a hunger, in a sense, for knowledge in the young girl.
Lightsaber training soon became a heavy part of Elara's training regiment once more. Master Zhet began to teach her the various sequences in Shi-Cho. As her skill with the blade began to display itself, the two began a serious sparring regiment consisting of both hand-to-hand and saber styles. Because Elara was not a physically dominating person in terms of strength, Zhet believed she would find use in learning the Hijkata style because it allowed her to remain defensive while using her opponents attacks against them. The style consisted heavily of sweeping motions and quick parry to counter opponents.
The first two years passed quickly, and Elara, now fifteen. progressed rapidly. The local Felucians typically kept to themselves, though there were a few close-calls with their hunter parties which erupted into small skirmishes. Her training had prepared her for such instances, teaching her to keep her senses outward and around her to keep anyone or anything from getting the upper-hand on her. Although her training focused heavily upon the realms of philosophy and combat strategy, she still had time separated for various other schools of learning. Botany and biology quickly became her choice branches of science in her academic studies. As a Jedi, her training is not solely restricted to Force or Lightsaber training.
Through the use of holovids, Elara was able to continue her instruction in mathematics, as well as begin her instruction in psychology and public affairs. Ethics and politics proved to be her most difficult subjects as much of what she studied conflicted with the ideals of the Jedi Code which caused her to question the political institutions set in place at times. Despite this, her training prospered just as it were intended to.

With the years continuing to pass, and Elara now Fifteen, the difficult times for her training were beginning to peak. As she grew, she became more adamant and concrete in her opinions which often resulted in instances of disagreements between her and her master. Despite this, the two always found a common ground and resumed training as usual. Their relationship together was like the perfect union between mentor and student.
As the months continued to progress, Elara's training continued as well. She and her master had taken on missions from the Jedi Council quite rarely and when they did, they were within the Thanium System or fairly close. Their missions typically consisted of escort missions, but they came across rogue bands of space pirates more and more frequently. During these runs, Elara had began learning the skills necessary to pilot ships ranging from small Jedi Fighters, to clunking freighters transporting a variety of goods. It soon became apparent that Elara had a natural proficiency for piloting and navigation.
The Jedi research teams continued working diligently toward studying and cataloging the various flora and fauna upon the jungle world of Felucia. However, as the research was beginning to come to an end, the resident Felucians began to become more and more aggressive in their assaults and increasingly more ruthless. The Felucians had not been the most welcoming group, but the sudden change in their behavior quickly aroused Elara's master's attentions. Felucia was beginning to grow dark and cold -- as though a taint was beginning to fill the very air. Various docile creatures were beginning to grow more and more aggressive and defensive of their territory which resulted in a series of injuries and two deaths between animal attacks and Felucian raids. With the recent dangers, the Jedi Council was informed and felt as though the matter needed to be investigated further. In response to their decision, they dispatched a Jedi Shadow by the name a Moran Baal, a man who deals with such situations.
With the Jedi Shadow well on his way, Elara was sent to aid in the defense of a major research base while her master investigated the darkness creeping from the dark forests of Felucia. Elara combated the now savage Felucians to the best of her ability, though despite her superior training and combat skill, the overwhelming numbers of the natives soon began to wear upon her. She soon began to feel as though she were helpless as the best she could truly accomplish was to temporarily incapacitate her foes. Doubt began to cloud her mind which in turn caused her focus to wane, resulting in a grave mistake. A sharp pain tore through Elara's back. A crude battle-axe had torn through the flesh of her back, instantly causing the young Jedi to collapse in pain. Elara was unable to mentally comprehend the sensation she felt which left her paralyzed. With her vision fading to black, her last tangible memory was her limp body being straddled with an axe pressed against her throat. This was it, this was her end. Elara's vision went black as a familiar sound echoed in her ears. A yellow streak flashed through the darkness, piercing the Felucian just as she had blacked out.
Elara awoke from a sudden surge of electrical energy being pulsed through her body. She was floating within a Kolto tank, her wound had been mended to the best of the medical droid's ability. A deep scar had been carved into her back leaving her once flawless skin marked for life. The tank began draining just as her focus diverted back to her master. Once she had been released from the tank and clothed, she inquired about her master before she was committed to bed rest for the time being. A small battalion of republic soldiers had arrived alongside the Jedi Shadow and were now working to gain control of the situation. Captain Essex, a Twi'lek male approached her and debriefed her of the situation. Elara had been unconscious for over forty-eight hours, the mental stress of such a wound left her body greatly weakened according to the medical officers. Her master and the Jedi Shadow were now in pursuit of two figures who were seen fleeing the scene of the battle who were strong in the Dark Side of the force.
Elara felt useless. She was bedridden and unable to assist her master in this ordeal. Doubt clouded her thoughts during the days she spent incapacitated. The young girl was beginning to doubt her role as a Jedi and questioned if this were truly the path for her. Finally, after a week and a half of searching, her master finally returned; though he was different. Broken.
With the assignment finally complete, the research team packed up and made their return to Coruscant. There, Elara was placed in the medical wing of the Jedi Temple while her master was speaking with the Jedi Council. Elara's master came to her in the night, silently waking her. Sitting by her side, he explained that he was going away, and may not return. Undoubtedly, Elara fought her master on the matter, but his decision was adamant. He refused to go into detail, but before he left, presented his Padawn with two gifts. The first was a holovid in which he instructed Elara to view when she felt she was ready to understand the truth. And second, his lightsaber -- the tool of a Jedi. With that, he left. And Elara never again saw her master.
From that day, she continued to doubt her role as a true Jedi, though she continued her training within the temple. She spent two years training with the various academy instructors in the ways of the force, academia, and most importantly lightsaber combat. Choosing to study Soresu for its defensive capabilities, she hoped that learning to properly defend herself would help her decision to continue walking the path of a Jedi. Elara worked alongside various other Masters and Padawans for some time, but it once again became time for her to be taken on by another Master.
RP Sample: The meditation sphere was a tranquil setting, perfect for self reflection and deep thought. Perhaps this is why Elara chose to spend much of her time here ever since her master left the Order. The young Jedi sat in the center of the room reflecting upon recent events. There was much turmoil and confusion in her mind which left Elara feeling emotionally distraught and betrayed by her master. Why. The only thought her mind sat fixated upon was why. It was unbecoming of a Jedi to harbor such emotions and feelings, but it was this very thing that planted the bud of doubt in her mind. Elara felt as though she was not destined for the life of a Jedi, but what would she return to she thought. There was no way that she would be able to track down her family, let alone fall back into a life she abandoned from her youth.
Pursing her lips, Elara fought back the tears that swelled within her eyes. Completely at a loss, her defenses crumbled and she silently wept. Burying her face in her hands, she was unable to resist it any longer. There she remained for some time. Locked in her own emotional turmoil of self doubt and betrayal. The least she could do was recite the Jedi Code. "There is no emotion, there is peace", she mumbled. Repeating this tenant over and over again until she began to calm her mind.
