Seria had just came home from leave and her brother Wol had informed her that he was needing a 'date' to a formal ball. It had been awhile since she had been out to anywhere fancy and she accepted. She had decided to wear her dress uniform instead of a dress. Besides she hadn't unpacked yet and most of her dresses where in the suitcase. It was nearly time for the ball. She knew that most of the people there were going to be politicians and big brass from the military. So Knesos had to look good for her brother who was trying for the now vacant Senior Senator position for Alderaan.

It wasnt that long of a walk from her apparent to the senate building. She had promised to meet Wol there and walk in together. As she approached she could see her brother that was fifteen years her senior dressed in his finest robes. "Well Captain Knesos, you look great tonight. But I was supposed to meeting my sister here in a couple minutes" Wol smiled as Seria stopped and looked at him.

"You look quite dashing yourself, Senator Knesos"

The two started laughing and hugged. It was great that they could form a bond through the drastic age gap. The intelligence officer link her arm onto her brothers as they entered the hall. They walked down a long corridor to a room that the couple doors were already open to. Giving each other glance and smiling they entered. Stopping just inside her eyes surveyed the room. There was senators from all over the galaxy. Some she had met and some she had not. Some of them she had met when their mother was a senator. Others when she would have to speak with them about a intelligence matter. Almost immediately Wol was drug away by some of his fellow senators and Seria was left standing not knowing what to do.

Lookout around she spotted the refreshment table. She maze her way over and got herself a glass of punch. Taking a small sip she scanned the floor for a place to somewhat hid. She agreed to go because it was important to Wol and she cared about her brother. Snaking her way through the crowded room she found a table away from everyone and sat down. She continued to sip her punch watching people mingle and dance.

"Senator Alexi! Senator Alexi!"

"Styles? Is that you, you old cad?!" Came a joyous response as a large and very small-eyed looking human man came waddling over the Zeltron father and daughter. The middle-aged men exchanged pleasantries as the woman, a tall and amazonian example of her race stood, smiling politely as her violet eyes grew dull with boredom between the blue waves of her hair.

"Have you meet my daughter?" Senator Styles said, motion to the young woman in a vivid green dress that clashed marvelously with her berry red skin. "This is Lila, shes recently been accepted into an elite special operations unit." The man beamed with pride, gently caressing his luxurious mustache.

Taking the Senator's hand, Sgt. Lila Styles exchanged pleasantries, answered questions and listened as her father launched into more bragging as Lila struggled to keep from yawning aloud.

Such events were all too familiar for the 30 year old woman, who now vaguely wondered why she bothered attending. It was her father's idea, no doubt. In his youth he had been a Senator in in the Republic, but time had passed and he had, after much fuss, finally retired. Yet still he insisted on going to balls and events, and as always, he needed a date. Who better than his military hero daughter? She rarely saw him, and if she happened to have leave then there was no real excuse.

"Dad, I'm gonna go grab some punch." She finally interrupted the old man's prattling as she tilted her head towards the refreshment table, leaving with only a polite smile to the squirrelly looking human he had engaged in endless conversation.

The long gown trailed the floor as Lila made her way towards the table, and spotting, almost refreshingly, someone in dress uniform as she walked. A woman, blonde and human in Republic Dress settled herself at a table off in the corner.

Within moments Lila had a plate full of various finger foods and cup of punch for herself and approached the table, green dress swishing in her wake.

"Captain," She nodded, setting the plate down. "You're sitting alone, so I'm going to assume you care as much about these events as I do. Which isn't a lot." With little bravado Lila pulled out her seat, sitting down in it as she ran a hand through the loose waves of her sapphire hair

"Sgt. Lila Styles, Special Ops, Fighting Wampas platoon." Lila nodded in introduction before picking up what looks like a fried ball of meat and cheese and popping it into her mouth with her green nailed fingers.

Looking up from the glass with the red liquid she saw a female in a green dress that clashed with her bright red skin. Seria right away knew the woman was a Zeltron, the skin and hair gave it away. The Captain noticed she was heading toward the table she was sitting at. Nodding as the female addressed her as Captain.

Letting put a slight chuckle when Lila made the assumptions that Knesos was bored. Which the sergeant was correct, the only reason she came was because of her brother. When the sergeant said her name she tried to remember if she had seen her file before. Seria had recently, before going on faction, looked over some new recruits for Special Forces. Though Sergeant Styles didn't seem to be one she recognized.

"Hello Sergeant Styles, Captain Seria Knesos. Yeah, ever since I was kid I never cared for social gatherings. Though mother insisted us attending at least one a year when she was Senator of Alderaan."

It wasn't normal for Seria to just divulge information like that to a subordinate, but she must be more bored than she thought. Taking another sip of the fruity drink in her hand wishing it had some kind of alcohol in it. Glancing up she saw Wol speaking with a senator from Naboo. It made the blond woman smile seeing her big brother so happy. Then she turned her attention back to Lila.

"So Sergeant, what brings you here tonight? I don't remember any need for Special Force serving as guards tonight.'
