The Who: Archduke Julius Magnus-Solo III of Kor Vella (link) annually hosts this event in his palace in Kor Vella. This event is attended by the elite of Republic society. Politicians, industrialists, entertainers, etc. and even Jedi masters are all invited to attend.

The Why: Every year, the Archduke hosts this gala in the hopes of raising money for some charitable effort. This year's gala is dedicated to raising funds for medical supplies for the Outer Rim planets touched by the war.

The Night's Events: Guests will arrive and gather in the Foyer until the doors to the dining wing are opened. Following this, guests will enjoy a four course meal during which music shall be played. Following this, the dance floor and the gardens will be opened for the enjoyment of all.

The Entertainment: Only the finest will be permitted to perform. The Archduke is currently seeking performers for this event. The reward for performing here is great, both financially and for one's career.

Donations: Guests are asked to purchase a plate for a minimum of 10,000 Credits. Of course, more donations are always welcomed.

Basically any being in the Republic of any level of repute and/or able to afford a plate is welcome to join. Jedi are welcome as well, provided the order donates at least 2,000 credits per Jedi attending. I just want to get a fancy civilian rp going.

Edit: Mara, feel free to bring you Senator and Holodrama star along. So far we have military and jedi representatives but few civilians and politicians.

All right, I did some thinking and figuring through her timeline, and I can put my senator in here, if I fit it in before her kidnapping plot. Though she's not exactly one of the more well-known and high-powered senators (or even well-liked by most of the Senate)... I'm sure I could explain her there. (Maybe she drew the short straw or the other senators volunteered her, or something). She's big into charities and related do-good things. Plus, it'd be god for her to meet some new people.

So as long as you can promise this thread won't die/you won't disappear on us... Irrina Icharus, junior senator of Arkania, and her droid Ofi, will be there.





But either way, I'll get Destini Xist, Zeltron holodrama star, in there. She's just an NPC, so Destini can just be part of the background interest, if needed. It's not necessary for her to fully interact, depending on how the thread goes.






PS: It might be a week or so before I'll be able to post in here, though. I have some other things to catch up on and get started first. But after that, I should be able to be pretty active.

So... not sure if this is still happening or not, but if so, the character I was gonna use here is now an NPC. If we still decide to run this, imma toss my Jedi Halli Price into this. Though a Jedi, she's also a pretty renowned painter in the galaxy, figure she could have donated some pieces for the event or something.
