Crafting A Lightsaber (Open Only To Talarian)

Master Moonflow, who had quickly found was he was looking for, left the Jedi Archives. Moonflow headed to the Jedi Training Room where he waited for his new apprentice.

Talarian came into the training room, nervously plucking at a loose thread on her robe. She smiled at her Master. "I am ready to begin Master."

It was all still so overwhelming. A Master...a ride to another planet. The stars. That made her smile. She'd be able to see them- really see them, and remember them this time. Yes, she was excited.

"It is good you are here Tal. Today we are to make you a lightsaber. First and formost, you need to pick a color. Blue is the color of a Jedi Guardian, Guardians focus more on lightsaber combat than Force powers. Green is the color of a Jedi Consular, Consulars focus more on Force powers than lightsaber combat.Yellow is the color of a Jedi Sentinel, Sentinels find a balance of lightsaber combat and working with the Force. You need to create this lightsaber on your on Tal. What color do you wish to have?" asked River

Tal considered this question a moment. "I think blue is the best choice Master." she had to admit that her prowess with the saber was better than her abilities with the Force. Of course, she could use the Force just as good as any youngling. But saber technique had always been her strong point.

River listened to Tal's reply and then said "Very well. Now you must construct the lightsaber, this is a task you must undrtake alone. I cannot help you, but I will be here observing."

Tal took a deep breath. She had never actually done this herself, but had watched the process of assembling a training saber many times. She also knew that the simple training blade would take much less time to make than a real saber, since all the parts were pre-made, she simply had to assemble them into a working blade.

Having read countless manuals on the subject, she was able to gather all the needed parts within minutes. Sitting down cross-legged on the floor, she went into a breathing and concentration technique she had been taught. Opening them again, she carefully lifted the metal casing with the Force. Tenuously, she split her attention between the different objects and constructed the training saber.

Watching Tal construct her first lightsaber was an important moment for River. This was showing that he had someone to which he could pass on the knowledge of the Jedi. "Now Tal, if you are finished. Come show me your saber." said River walking towards Tal.

Tal took a deep breath. She had never actually done this herself, but had watched the process of assembling a training saber many times. All she had to do was assemble them into a working unit.

Since she knew the layout of this place by heart, it didn't take Tal long to collect the necessary goods. All she needed were a metal casing, a few power cells, the crystals that created the blade, and the Force. Sitting cross-legged on the floor, she shut her eyes and concentrated on a breathing exercise someone had taught her. A moment later, she opened her eyes, and slowly lifted the casing into the air via the Force. Tenuously splitting her attention between two tasks, she carefully began to assemble the training saber.

"Allright Tal. Now that you are with a saber, we leave for Onderon. I shall train you along the way. Let's go." said River beginning to walk out of the Training Room, and motioning for Tal to follow him.

Tal grinned in triumph, and quickly 'tested' the finished saber. It cut smoothly through the air with the traditional hum. She gave a sigh- trying not to think of the real lightsaber she'd have to construct from scratch eventually- and hurried after Master Moonflow.
