(((Urgh, I think I’m a bit rusty with Looma… I kind of rambled… oh, well. Anyway, Fox, bring Cho in when you’re ready… Everyone else, please post in [here] or PM me first before entering…))) […from Strength of the Dark Side] Night had fallen over Korriban. The waning crescent of its moon hung in the clear sky, keeping vigil over the temple of the Sith. There was not a sound anywhere except for the cry of a creature here and there in the distance. The air was still; not even a breeze stirred the various flora in the area. It was almost too quiet, as the calm before a storm, but there was no sign of any impending weather. Or perhaps the planet was holding its breath, keenly aware of some unseen faraway danger coming upon it. But the most likely theory of the eerie silent feeling was that it was due to the permeation of the dark side of the Force throughout everything. A lone figure emerged from the massive stone temple. It walked slowly but with a sense of purpose, putting distance between itself and the building. Coming into the moonlight, the being was revealed as a young female Twi’lek, her yellow head tails shining in contrast to the darkness around her and of her black robes, trappings of her chosen profession. She never once glanced behind her as she moved further on, not knowing the location of her final destination but aware that she would find it, nonetheless. If she had just once lifted her eyes into the illumination, another would notice the conflicting emotions in her violet eyes. Sadness. Anger. Fear. Determination. Hope. Confusion. She was Looma Isana, erstwhile apprentice of Shard, Darth Memnon, and currently unattached to any master, having turned down the offer of Darth Callidus just days before. Even now, she wasn’t completely positive on why she had done so, just knew that it hadn’t felt right at that moment. So much conflict and hurt was within her still at being abandoned by her previous master, pain on top of the pain of her childhood. The depressive anger now was always a part of her presence in the Force wherever she went. Others in the temple avoided her when they could and she, them. Looma had no use for others except for one, and that young man had been away from her too long. In fact, as she finally stopped and perched upon a boulder, tucking her knees under her chin and wrapping her arms around her legs, this night was not so different to another, months prior. The Twi’lek had just seen her good friend Caleb for the first time since they had been taken to Korriban, since they had helped, in their own separate ways, complete the construction of the temple. They had embraced and caught each other up on what they had been up to, conversing easily. There had been moonlight then as well, quiet all around them, and she had been filled with varying emotions. But that was the end of the comparison. That had been a happy time for her, a rare bright spot in her life. Now it was the complete opposite. She was at her lowest and utterly alone, the Force and her anger her only constant companions. Caleb was but a memory, a thread that was slowly unraveling; eventually she would lose hold of him entirely if she continued down the same path. And Looma was unable to see any other roads to turn off on, nor would she want them, if she did. The Twi’lek was broken in so many ways, content to continue master-less, purpose-less, for the foreseeable future. Nothing held meaning for her any longer. However, she had had a dream this night, maybe more of a Force vision. Her reason for slipping out of bed in the middle of the night and wandering outside. Looma had seen her older sister Leef. She had been having more frequent dreams of the elder Twi’lek ever since her injury to her lekku on Subterrel where it had seemed her sister had been trying to drag her into the afterlife. Other later dreams hadn’t been so clear and were mostly foggy, abstract feelings of Leef’s presence nearby. Tonight, though, she had been immersed as deeply as she had when Leef had first appeared to her. She had been walking through a misty blackness, drawn to the image of her sister in front of her, the younger Twi’lek’s hand lifting towards the older one. But this time as her sister reached for her in turn, Looma had gotten the distinct feeling her sister had been pleading for help from her younger sibling, sending a message. Wanting a reunion on Looma’s side of the mist, not on her own. Then, as she had tried to offer aid, her sister had fallen back from her and disappeared. Disturbed a bit by this dream but also hopeful on what it could mean for her sister’s fate, Looma had left the temple behind in order to be alone with her thoughts. She didn’t meditate very often any more, because she was rarely at ease enough to do so. But now she was eager to gain insight from the Force on what purpose the vision had held. If Leef was indeed in danger and Looma could figure out where, she would drop everything and go after her. Finding a deeper destiny for herself as a Sith could wait. That was a dead end for her at the moment. Rescuing her sister was something more tangible, something that could hold her focus and keep her busy until she was ready to resume her status as an apprentice to a Sith master. Slowing her breathing and closing her eyes, she drew the Force around her. Looma used the anger that was always with her in the back of her heart and mind to increase the power. Everything around her faded away, the landscape, the temple, the moonlight. It was just her, and the Force. Focusing, she went looking for her sister in her mind, trying to draw the vision back to a higher consciousness. If she could just hear one word from Leef, get any clue, the littlest morsel could make all the difference in what lay ahead for the pair of yellow Twi’leks.

The darkness of Korriban was never truly dark. Light of glowing fungus and the light from the moon gave every thing a errie look. Honog had hated being in the temple since his outting as a full member of the Sith. Scared by Renata as a coward and further dispised by any being calling himself a Sith. Now Honog had been living with the Sith hounds. They had accepted as one of their own. They hunted and scouted as one ever searching.
This night was none different they had been hunting and now they were laying down letting the food settle. The force was their guiding light. It showed them what was easy targets. Laying in the middle of the pack Honog was looking to the night sky as the pack quietly nodded. A few young sith hounds still had enough energy to continue on playing. One of the young Sith hounds came up to him looked over his chest to a distant rise. What ever it was I still could not see so it put it's front paws upon his chest to get a higher view. Honog watched as the young one sniff the air. Stretching out in the force Honog could sence the direction of the young one attention.
Rising as well he took a look. In the distance he saw a figure. Reaching further out he felt for the pressonce of who it was. Looma, a young female he knew to little about. Only the short time they were with Shard did he ever try to know her. When almost everyone hated or dispised him he had wondered if she would as well. Only a few did he find some odd sense of friendship.
Rising to his feet he started to move to her. With him a few other Sith hound followed those that were curious about her and her touching the force. Shoulder to shoulder he walked with the sith hounds. They were family unlike those who called the temple their home. His emotions were calm and quiet, silent as his movements of his race. With in 20 feet he slowed and sat down. The sith hounds with him did the same but layed around both of them. In the force Honog slowly dived searching for the reason for her being her so late. Emotions filled the force he kept his own in check. Removing himself he waited for her to sense him and give her reason for being out here in the wilds of Korriban.

Looma drew more strongly on the Force, hoping for a sign of her sister, even the least little tidbit. She emptied her mind and only filled it with thoughts of Leef. But so far, she couldn’t seem to gain any ground. Her dream’s vivid nature was nowhere to be found, replaced instead with heartache and emptiness. A hollowness that she had always carried with her growing larger was the only sign that she had even had the vision an hour before. The older Twi’lek was as gone from her as she when she had been first taken from her and sold into slavery.
Exhausted with the effort of meditation, training that had grown rusty over the past months, she sighed and pulled herself out of it. Perhaps she would just relax and try again in a few minutes. It wasn’t as if Looma had anything else to do. Sleep would be a failure for the rest of the night, so she might as well try to get something accomplished, even if it was just insight into her vision of her sister and what it could mean and what she could do to help Leef. Anything to keep her mind off her current and real problems, her depression, her feelings of worthlessness.
But as she spread out her Force awareness, the Twi’lek realized she was not alone. Her eyes snapped open, peering into the semi-darkness. Unsure of what lay beyond, Looma gradually extended the Force from where she had first felt the disturbance, not wanting to frighten whatever it was. She knew that various large animals lived nearby, most of which could be dangerous. Exercising self-control over her own emotions, she kept her own presence as neutral as possible. Hopefully the creature would just pass her by without notice and leave her be.
Instead, the unknown creature mutated into many of them as she felt them in the Force, and they were coming closer. Desperately trying to keep her fear contained, she continued her light probing in order to figure out what was out there. A blast of dark side energy hit her, and the Twi’lek relaxed a bit. She felt the undeniable presence of a fellow Sith, one she had met before. Cho the Noghri who had also been a part of Shard’s erstwhile Dominion. They had not exactly been close since meeting for the first time about a year previous, but she also knew that Cho meant her no harm. At least, she felt no malevolence in his strange multi-faceted presence as he drew nearer to her.
She started to unwind from her semi-fetal meditation position upon the boulder so she could slip off and greet him. But then Looma noticed why the Noghri’s presence in the Force had seemed strange; he wasn’t alone. The Twi’lek had been right in her first sensation of multiple creatures, and it was a realization that didn’t please her. Cho stopped a few meters away, his companions doing the same, spreading out all around him and the rock she was sitting on. Seeing Sith hounds this close made her nervous, and she pulled her legs back up onto the rock. They appeared docile for the moment, but she wasn’t willing to bet her life on them staying that way, Cho or no Cho.

Honog's senses in the force told him of Looma's fear of the sith hounds. As he had thought they reacted to her fear, hissing at her weakness and timidity. These this hounds knew what to expect from sith, power and fearlessness. Honog was about to get up when a hound rose first. This hound had a massive scar across his left head and muzzle. With a eye white and a lip pulled by the poor healing had the reputation of being the first to go for a kill when those weak in the force were found or those who showed weakness.
Honog exploded in the force whipping the scarred hound back behind him and the others. Speaking harshly in noghrish he cursed the hound. Rising to his feet he let the flooding force to over whelm the pack. The ground trembled with power from the noghri's burbling hatred.
Turning to Looma he qlked with anger and hatred filling his heart. Why do you still have fear in you heart? You, how are still liked by the sith Lords and Ladies. You are SITH!!! Act like it!....Looma you may have fear in you but you control it like you do the force. Take that fear and make it your slave. Take hold upon your future before other's Mark your path. You'll never grow until you and your past are one. If you can do that then everyone and thing will bow to you. But if you don't ....Honog removed his upper shirt showing the traitor's markThen you to will have to become a slave to all. In the noghri culture marking and scarring have meaning this mark I had thought was a sign of my acceptance into the brother hood, but now.....it is nothing but shame. No matter how hard I work, no matter how many Jedi and and other of importance I kill with my own claws it is for nothing. This mark is a mark of death. As one marked as such is the reason why I have taken up with the sith hounds for they see only power and things without fear as what is strong. Take what you can give nothing back.
Honog turned still burning with the power in the force. As he reached the hounds he hissed at them again speaking slowly in noghrish....Power comes to those who act with the future in sight, not upon the past.
The noghri slowly ebbed the power level down but still did not turn his back fully to either the hounds nor Looma. He had long ago given up on relying on anyone but himself.

(((Wowzers, fox… I think that’s just what she needed, for the moment, at least… Also, apologies for getting to this so late; it took a while for me to get started…)))
The young Twi’lek stayed where she was, watching the carnivores closely, both with her violet eyes and through the Force. Try as she might to keep her emotions steady, Looma felt her heart beating more quickly in her chest. And this only made things worse; the Sith hounds only became emboldened, vocalizing at her in unkind ways, sensing her trepidation with their presence. She knew, deep down, that she had nothing to be afraid of, for she was Sith and powerful in the dark side of the Force. However, in the forefront of her mind, there was just something about their unexpected arrival in the middle of the night that was bringing out a childish, fearful reaction.
With nowhere else to go, Looma pulled her legs farther up the rock with a false sense of security. One of the hounds had gotten up and was coming toward her; she could sense the malice from it in the Force. She worked hard to regain her normally ever-present confidence so that she could respond in kind, but her skittishness was a difficult thing to remove. The past few months, aimlessly wandering alone through life, master-less, depressed, and angry, had made her a bit soft. Though Looma could still hold her own for a while in a short duel with someone in a similar skill level, she was still raw, relatively untrained.
Cho burst out then, using the Force to cast the eager hound away from the Twi’lek and her rock before it could act on any of its impulses. She felt relieved, unsure of what would have happened if the Noghri Sith hadn’t been there to step in. The hounds certainly would have attacked her without compunction. Looma would have defended herself to the best of her ability, but there were so many of them, and she knew she wouldn’t have lasted very long. Especially since she had gotten out of practice in the ways of the Force, meaning to work on things but never having the will or the energy to do so.
The Noghri Sith’s connection to the Force strengthened, and it was like a tidal wave of dark energy washing over her. Involuntarily, she shuddered with its impact, wrapping her clothing tighter around her body and tucking her legs underneath her. Looma had always known that Cho was powerful, had even seen him in action, but he had never before unleashed it directly on her. Just as she wanted to turn and run away from his rage-filled tirade, she also couldn’t look away and was frozen in place, listening to the Noghri’s ranting speech, a lone tear running down her cheek.
His words rang true, hitting her squarely and accurately. They were not new words, nothing revolutionary. In fact, Zarene had told her the very same thing, though in fewer words than Cho was currently using and with less emotion than the Noghri. Looma had originally brushed the Echani Sith off, falsely believing that she would be able to follow through without any real effort. Or really caring to, so deep were her feelings of rejection, abandonment, depression, anger at everyone and everything. She had even recently declined the offer of a new master, wanting to be left to own devices, wallowing in her darkness.
Now, though, she wondered if her current path-less path was actually harming her future as a Sith. If she continued on without any sort of guiding force, would she end up a failed, washed-out practitioner of the dark side? Perhaps she could use her current state to aid her. It didn’t have to be one or the other; they could live inside of her in harmony. Looma would use her pain instead of allowing it to be a crutch, a barrier, to her potential. She wasn’t sure yet what might be in store in her future, which path she chose, but she now realized that she would be able to handle whatever came her way, whatever she decided.
Looma’s limbs unfolded, her body relaxed. She drew on the Force, and with each moment, her fear was gradually replaced with its comforting power. Its familiar presence comforted her and made her feel more like herself. Under it all, she knew she would remain broken, but which being wasn’t? The Twi’lek just wouldn’t let it rule her anymore, would no longer feel like she was the only one dealing with these issues. Her anger and sadness would just be a part of her, just as much as her past was, her future would be, her strong connection to the Force and her lingering connection to Caleb. It would be the tool she’d use to rebuild her life.
“Thank…” Her voice cracked with disuse, but she cleared her throat, and it soon strengthened. “Thank you.” Confident in herself and her abilities once again, she slipped down from the rock, no longer afraid to stand near the Sith hounds. “That’s just… I guess I needed to hear that. I’ve been…well, lost, I guess, for quite some time now. Letting my pain get the best of me. Listening to my emotions and feelings rather than my head.” Looma took a few steps closer to Cho, maneuvering around one of the animals. “Thank you. I’m starting to feel like myself again.”

(Occ-sorry for the lateness Muse-building of late. Gathering it by tooth and claw.)
Honog simply snorted at her words of thanks. Kindness....kindness a very odd feeling for the noghri to handle. Most had seen him as a traitor and defiler since his return from the Dominion. Hatred and spite was the common response to any effort he had ever gave to any sith. Maybe she was not fully directed by the Will of the darkside. Honog closed his eyes and slide back into the flow of the force hiding once again with in the flow.
Speaking quietly....If.... you ever need...to ....help just call and I'll be there for you. Let the force move you where it will whether of the dark or the light.
Hiding deeper into the force flow Honog moved back toward the pack. The hounds whimpered at their inability to feel him within the force. He hissed and churbled at them reassuring them.
Where are you headed now?
The noghri looked back over his bare shoulders to view the young twi'lek bathed in moon light.

(((Don’t worry about it. Also, I feel like this is a bit rough, but it's nothing that directly deals with your character, so it should be okay on that front, lol... ))) She was a bit surprised that he was so taken aback, almost offended, at her kind words, and her violet eyes widened briefly at this. Looma could see his reaction as well as feel it in the Force. Surely even a servant of the dark side could embrace all emotions, both positive and negative? Of course, there would be the power and hatred and everything that went along with the dark side of the Force and a practitioner of such, but a life of a Sith didn’t have to be all bitterly one-sided, did it? The Twi’lek sighed to herself, putting away her feelings, knowing she would get nowhere by dwelling on them right now. Another meditation for another day. Or perhaps a question for her next master, if that path was indeed in her future. At his offer of help, though, Looma smiled and nodded, forcing herself to respond silently. She spread her gratefulness through the Force only; Looma knew now how the Noghri Sith would treat another ‘thank you’ expressed out loud and didn’t wish to repeat the experience. Despite everything that had progressed in the last few minutes, the young Twi’lek was happy to have a being with Cho’s power and ability on her side, ready to step in if needed. They had a bit of a history together, and it was a relief to her to have one Sith out of the thousands that she could rely on. Without a master, no friendly acquaintances, Caleb nearby, Cho was a reassurance. But at his mention of either the dark or the light side of the Force guiding her path, her yellow brow wrinkled in confusion. She agreed, of course, with trusting in the Force to lead her in the right path. But why would it be anything but the dark side? Looma had tried the light side while a Jedi youngling, and it hadn't worked out. The Jedi had abandoned her to an unfulfilling life on Bakura. There she had jumped at the chance to join with the Sith, feeling deep within that she belonged with them, and they had accepted her into the fold. Perhaps Cho’s suggestion was merely born of her earlier unexpected kindness that he had taken badly and not a true assessment of her connection to the Force. Putting these thoughts away for later as well, she focused on his question. She watched him move back into the pack of Sith hounds, pondering. With a sigh, she answered honestly. “I… I’m not sure.” Looma looked away, staring off into the distance, absently fingering the ruby pendant she wore around her neck. “I had another vision of my sister tonight—that’s why I’m out here, awake. I can’t shake the feeling that she’s in trouble.” Looking up, she let go of the jewel, letting her hands fall at her sides. “It’s vague, but I feel the Force leading me to find her, even if it means leaving Korriban for a time. There’s obviously nothing for me here right now…”

Honog was looking long at her face as his words bit into her soul. His only friend felt the pain he gave. As hard and as dark as he was not even that had any movement with in his heart. His mind had slowly over the years of being with the sith had hardened. But simple words came to him as she spoke of her kin...
Then you must find her to have peace with in the force. The Sith have hurt themselves by flowing against the Will.
Shaping a force bubble around his hand and sparking a bolt of force lighting across to the her right side. As it kicked up dust and glassed a bit of the Korriban's sand Honog tilted his head as a gesture of under standing.
Every thing has a path be it crooked as a force lighting bolt. One burns themselves when they try to turn the energy away from the path. The chaos of a solar storm destroys not by pushing things away but in a path not of their choosing. If you do not clear your path harm will come to you and any who will aide you, so be your path and so be your future.
My path is leading me to travel to the hutt worlds to scout and assess items of value to the sith. If you want then take the time to start your search there. If I can help I will, by the will of the Will.

(((Sorry for getting to this so late… And for how disjointed it might be; I had different ideas on how this was going to go, and they kind of all won out, lol…)))
Looma knew that when she left the Sith stronghold, especially without permission, there would almost certainly be repercussions upon her eventual return. If she ever safely made it to a transport and off the planet in the first place. The young Twi’lek was only a mere initiate. She didn’t have a master to vouch for her, nor was she high enough in the Order’s hierarchy to act without question from others. Her future lay up a steep hill, and yet, she was convinced now that she couldn’t turn away from it, had no choice but to go after her sister.
Cho was right; taking this detour was the only way to put the remaining pieces back together. Even after she was now finally beginning to come to terms with her anger and pain with the help of conversing with the Noghri Sith, the vision of Leef would only serve to distract her. The gut feeling—coupled with the recent dreams—she had that her sister was in trouble would only replace her earlier feelings of loss and abandonment as the current obstacle in her path. Looma needed to reconcile herself with her past before she could even begin to think about continuing with her future.
To her credit, when Cho threw a strike of Force lightning at her, Looma reacted outwardly only very minimally, a fluttering of her facial muscles. More aware of her surroundings now that she was no longer moping, she had felt the Noghri gathering the Force to him, known something was coming. Having resisted the urge to throw up a shield of protection, she had exhibited rare self-control and remained still, her violet gaze unwavering from her companion’s darker one. Inside, though, her heart was pounding in reaction to his small object lesson, despite the feeling that Cho would never knowingly hurt her, or so she hoped.
Afterward, he continued speaking, expounding on his belief that she needed to depart Korriban and go searching for her sister, for if she didn’t, she would only continue down a path of her own destruction. Just as quickly as it had surfaced, her alarm dissipated, and she was again calm. Looma nodded along to his words, agreeing wholeheartedly with an idea that she hadn’t even considered a few minutes before. She thought the certainty of knowing that this was where her path was leading her would startle her, but somehow, deep within her soul, she could just feel it was right, the only option left to her.
But when Looma heard Cho discuss his own path and where it was leading him, she took a step back as if someone had punched her hard in the chest. She blinked violet eyes at the Noghri, wondering how in the galaxy he knew that Hutt space was precisely where she had been thinking of starting her search for her sister. She hadn’t felt him probe her mind; of course, he was powerful enough to hide his presence. However, then the realization hit her, and she felt silly for thinking Cho had invaded her privacy. Looma was quite obviously a Twi’lek; her sister would be one as well. A species that was quite regularly enslaved by syndicates like the Hutts, it was only natural for the Noghri to assume she might want to begin with those worlds.
She nodded when she had gained control of herself again. “I appreciate the offer.” Looma hadn’t any idea yet of how she was going to get off of Korriban and start on her quest to find her sister. The idea was still new to her, and she hadn’t gotten that far in her planning, just knowing that she had to leave, somehow. Having a traveling companion would be a great help, for she was lacking quite a bit in those areas. Plus, if she left with Cho, it could solve her problems of her departure and later return, whether she’d be punished for desertion. Whether sanctioned or not, the Noghri would protect her; she knew it.
On the other hand, Looma wanted to accomplish this journey on her own merits and power. Show herself and the Sith that she was entirely capable of taking care of herself. This was a personal quest, a matter of family. And it would be difficult, but she’d have to get through it. Though just an initiate, she wasn’t entirely helpless either. If she did end up using the Noghri Sith’s help, she’d have to make sure there were ground rules and that she was doing so not because it was the only way but because she was in control of her own destiny and had commissioned Cho’s aid. He’d be a tool for her mission.
Thus settled in her own mind, she added, “I’ll be able to find you here later, if I do take you up on that?” Despite her urgency to leave, Looma knew she wouldn’t be able to go immediately. Certain things had to be taken care of, wrapped up, though she wasn’t leaving Korriban for good and planned to return. She wanted to leave things open enough that, if she required, she could use Cho and his transport to get to Hutt space or be able to do so her own way, even if it meant stealing a ship and kidnapping a pilot to take her where she wanted to go. Either way, her time at the Sith headquarters was now ticking away.

Calming in the force and though out his own body Cho slowed his emotions making them colder than a Hoth night. He watched as Mara took in what he had said and looked upon her face for signs of her decisions. When Mara thanked him he did not react only blinked. Yet when she asked about finding him a smile grew upon his face.
She was about to make up her mind and time was all she'd need.
I or the sith hounds will be here awaiting your return. The hound will lead you to me if I'm not here.
Wroth knew that hunting time would be drawing close soon if she'd return with in the next few hours but if it would be in the next few days then who knows where the noghri would be. Where he would be was a toss up since the Hssiss event. The sith hounds were driving out the smaller bands of hssiss with Cho's help they were being reduced in numbers. More than that a new batch of Sith hound pups were still in the weaning phase and needed protection.
Tilting his head to one side Cho mimicked the questioning Sith hound adults around him without looking at them as if they were with one mind or thought.

(((You called Looma ‘Mara’ a couple times in your post, lol… Anyway, I think this thread has pretty much wrapped up, and so this will be my last post. Feel free to do your own exit post after if you prefer, fox. Otherwise, I suppose I’ll see you in the next thread…)))
The yellow Twi’lek inclined her head in acknowledgement of the Noghri’s instructions for contacting him later. “All right.” She was comforted in having the option of falling back on the elder Sith’s resources if absolutely necessary. Of course, Looma would much prefer to set out on her own, since this quest of hers was of a deeply personal quality, and she would do her best in order to follow through on that. For her sister and for herself. However, she was smart enough to realize that such an undertaking could be wrought with danger and prone to failure if she took the slightest wrong step. And so with Cho as her plan B, she felt confident in moving forward.
Without anything further, Looma reached back and lifted the hood of her cloak, pulling it over her headtails and once again pushing her face into its shadow. She turned and made her way back towards the temple, winding a path through the Sith hounds. The young Twi’lek no longer felt any fear towards the creatures, now that she had a resolute plan for her immediate future. Finally she had put away her anger and sadness and all the other emotions that had hitched a ride on her abandonment issues. Looma was content now to only pull those out to aid and strengthen her sensitivity in the Force, not to let them be a crutch that crippled her into being a shell of what she could potentially be.
She strode through the moonlit darkness, head held high, back straight. The Force was around her, as it always was. But for the first time in many months, it was not boiling with inner rage. Instead, her presence was merely an extension of the Force itself, a neutral calm power, neither inherently evil nor good. Her emotions were not leaking into it, clouding her senses. The Twi’lek’s entire life was in front of her again, and she couldn’t wait to get started. First would come the search for her sister in order to settle the few loose ends still in her mind holding her back, and then once whole again, she would return to begin anew with her training, setting foot on the path to Sithhood.
