Early Life
Sol was born Virgil Valdahyde, to parents he never knew. He was born on Nar Shaddaa, where a Jedi Knight had been stationed for a short time during his recruitment. What had drawn the Jedi was another force sensitive child, a girl who was a month or two passed the cut off age. Before Virgil was born, this Jedi could feel the strength of the Force within the child. The Jedi Knight had remained on the planet a few more months until the child was born. But, before this, Virgil mother was swayed into allowing her child to be taken. This, she felt, was a much better life for the child. She felt that poverty was not where she wanted to raise her child, and the Jedi Order could provide a much better life. The day Virgil was born; the Jedi tested the boys midichlorian count and discovered them to be extremely high. The child was taken from birth and was raised in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. There, he was taught the basics of the Jedi Order, learned the teachings of the Light side of the force. Virgil spent years sharpening his skills in the ways of the force. He grew as any child in the Jedi Temple would, being told of the evils the Dark side of the force harbored and to sever all potential ties to the Dark side.
Virgil began to show promise as an Initiate. The boy seemed to be on the track to embodying the ways of the Light side of the force. As the boy grew, he showed skill in both the Force and Lightsaber combat. The Force flowed through the young one as if already second nature.
As a Youngling
Virgil, now a bit older, had shown his aptitude for the Force and become the most promising within his clan of Youngling. Virgil, now 8 years old, would continue to sharpen his talents into skill. Virgil began to form friendships with his fellow Younglings, spending as much time together as they do; it was inevitable, especially for a child. He formed a rather strong bond with another child in his clan, Rorian. They became something along the lines of best friends as well as friendly rivals. They pushed each other to immerse one another in the Force through this rivalry. Being their age, it wasn't seen as a rivalry, but a mutual growth. Their friendship and childish rivalry was considered healthy, but closely watched by the Jedi Order as to make sure it had no signs of becoming more than just a rivalry in the future.
It was morning time and Virgil had a dream, a dream of himself in the arms of some woman. Confused, he asked his mentor what this dream meant. He expressed that he felt a strong bond when he thought about the dream, as if he was connected with this lady. His mentor assured him the dream was just a collection of thoughts and things seen. Being taken by the order as an infant, Virgil had no clue he even had parents, all he knew was the Order.
Padawan
After a few years soaking in as much as the Academy could teach, Virgil became old enough and skilled enough to be taken as a Padawan. Both Rorian and Virgil had become of age and skill. It wasn't long before Virgil had been taken as a Padawan by a Jed Knight by the name of Cifer Ragnos. Cifer had known of Virgil for quite some time. Ever since he seen the Midichlorian count in his file from birth, Cifer kept a watch on Virgil’s progress to determine if he'd take him as an apprentice. Virgil was overwhelmed when he had become a Padawan. From there, Virgil’s training was on track to ascend to another level. Behind the scenes, Virgil’s best friend had yet to be taken as a Padawan. This began to manifest jealousy, miniscule as it may be, the Council kept him as a Padawan from a year more until proven to rid himself of the jealousy that was created through Virgil’s progression in the Jedi Order.
Upon becoming a Padawan, Virgil accompanied Cifer to the planet Ilum. There, they both faced the harsh colds of the planet to get to one of the crystal caves where Virgil would find a crystal to begin constructing his own Lightsaber. After a short period of time, Virgil was drawn to a certain crystal that emitted a certain Force signature that appealed to him. It was a typical Mephite type crystal but it seemed to call to him, and so he chose it. Shortly after, both Cifer and Virgil left the planet of Ilum and headed back to Coruscant. Virgil then spent the next few weeks meditating on the Crystal, interlocking himself with it while the components for his saber were being crafted. By the time Virgil was done harmonizing with the crystal, his saber parts were complete. In a deep meditation, Virgil began constructing the weapon. Hours had gone by before Virgil had finally finished the month long process of building his own saber. Virgil stepped out from his chambers with his new saber in hand. He ignited it, the weapon hummed as a vivid blue beam shot from the hilt.
Cifer felt himself the perfect Master for Virgil, being that he was once of minion of the Dark side. Cifer once utilized the Dark side of the Force. He spent the last 10 years of his life meditating as redeeming himself from the Dark side and prove to the Order that he renounced the Dark side. Cifer watched Virgil as a Youngling and foresaw the hunger for power and need to be more skilled than his rival Rorian. He felt he'd know the proper way to avoid and prevent the influence of the Dark side. Cifer was also a master in Ataru and Shien/Djem So, what he felt to be a good balance of Force based combat and offensive and defensive combat. This is what Cifer would teach Virgil throughout their time together. The Jedi Master expressed to Virgil that meditation, training in the Force and training in Lightsaber combat would be implied daily and would only become more intense with passing time. With that, Virgil would go through a daily training regimen to keep his skills sharp and continue to hone them.
Virgil would accompany Cifer on countless missions over the next 10 years. Some of which routine and others proving to test Virgil and push him forward. One of the more notable missions Virgil had undergone was what seemed to be a routine bodyguard mission. It was his 15th mission as a Padawan and he nearly lost his life. Cifer and Virgil were assigned to guard a member of the senate while on official business while on Coruscant. It was on the way to a meeting of the Senate when Virgil had felt something out of place, allowing his Master to reach out with the Force and catch wind of the ambush before it could be sprung. Cifer had the escort stop a few miles from where the ambushed had been placed. From there, the two Jedi made their way to the ambush, leaving the senator in one of the other escort ships. Taking the senators transport, the two Jedi sprung the ambush by letting the autopilot take the ship through the ambush that was staged from the ground. Virgil and Cifer caught the assailants off guard, cutting through one after the other. A few other assailants had taken off, to what could be assumed as the hideout where the person behind the ambush would be found. Cifer gave the clear to the escort to bring the senator to the meeting and that things were clear while they pursued the assailants.
The assailants led the Jedi to what seemed to be an abandoned Cantina in the lower sectors of Coruscant. Both of the Jedi could feel the presence of the Dark side in the building. It had been the first time Virgil had been exposed to such a potent source of the Dark side. Up until now, he had only encountered lesser Dark side users. The Jedi entered the Cantina, which harbored a group of thugs that followed a powerful Dark Jedi. Cifer and the Dark Jedi exchanged a few words while Virgil surveyed the room. He drew his Lightsaber just as someone drew their blaster and fired. The shot was redirected and sent through the thug’s forehead. Cifer engaged the scum as the Dark Jedi drew his lightsaber as Virgil aided him. The Dark Jedi was more powerful than Virgil and it was only moments before he was stabbed through the shoulder and became the unlucky recipient of a very powerful Force Push that sent him through a thin wall. Virgil woke up hours later back at the temple receiving some repair work on his shoulder. Virgil received praise from his master for his bravery and constant growth in the Force. Cifer had become like a father to Virgil, being that the boy didn't know what having a father was like; his bond with Felix grew strong.
Later, Virgil was to meet with his master for their daily sparing session. This session, however, was to be different. Up until now, training sabers were used. It would seem Virgil would be putting his new Lightsaber to the test. Virgil entered the training room where his master had been waiting, meditating. Few words were exchanged, being that this was more than a routine. The two engaged each other with a flurry of attacks that matched one another’s, Cifer testing Virgil’s growth in both Ataru and Shien/Djem So. As he thought, Virgil’s growth in saber combat was constantly advancing. Their training session ended as it normally did, Cifer' saber at one of Virgil’s vital points. With congratulations and a word of motivation and praise, both Jedi had moved to their next session.
Virgil and Cifer then entered an all white room where they began to meditate, utilizing the Force to levitate one another. The object was to remain focused and be able to levitate the other person while being levitated yourself. It was not only a means of training, but also a way to establish a stronger trust between Master and Apprentice.
A Dedicated Student
When not on missions, Virgil would be hard at work. Aside from his classes at the temple, Virgil would dedicate his free time to meditation and strengthening his bond in the Force. Even when Master Ragnos was on a solo mission, Virgil would take on training sessions with a Jedi lightsaber instructor who was a master of Ataru and Niman. Although the instructor’s teachings were thorough, they weren't his masters. Virgil excelled in the alternate sessions and showed to constantly grow with every session Cifer and him had. Virgil took every opportunity to imply what he learned and constantly push himself to new heights. Virgil had stayed true to the daily training sessions with his master. It would start off with meditation, centering one's self before combat and allowing the Force to flow through the body. This would also incorporate the techniques in the Force, starting with the basics. Of course, Virgil is well beyond the basics now and dabbling in the more difficult of techniques. When centered, Cifer and Virgil would engage each other in a duel to test the young Jedi’s skill. Each day, Cifer would intensify the training, taking it to a new level to push the young one.
This training would go on each and every day throughout the time Cifer and Virgil would spend together. Even when left at the temple, Virgil would stay vigilant to the regiment. But, the true tests would lie in each mission that Virgil went on. They proved to be landmarks in his growth, having to apply his learning’s in areas that were not controlled and the possibility of death lingered like a dark cloud. The pressure that was placed on him during missions that turned hostile would be the main factor in shaping his skills and technique.
Jedi Knight, Virgil Valdahyde
Virgil had proved his continuous progression in the Force with each mission. He had undergone each of the Trials through the countless missions he had gone on. It wasn't until the last mission he'd go on with his master. To Virgil, this was another mission that would force him to further himself. They were sent to take care of a Dark Jedi in the system that had slowly begun to amass a small militia. The Jedi Order caught wind of the intentions to strike at the Jedi Temple. A weeks’ time before the mission, Cifer felt it was time for Virgil to find and grasp his true self before undergoing a test such as what lied ahead. Virgil fell into a deep meditation, exploring the depths of his own existence. The young Jedi was faced with visions of his childhood friend, his power and link to the Dark side made him powerful and with that, Virgil’s jealousy began to surface and he literally engaged his jealousy in battle. A manifestation of Virgil’s jealousy and hunger for power attacked him with a strength that the young Jedi never felt before. Shortly after engaging it, the mirror image of Virgil that was his jealousy and passion transformed into Rorian before fading away. There, he was plagued by visions of him slaying countless people alongside Rorian until his visions led to a final act. Rorian kneeling before Virgil, who's appearance had changed slightly. Virgil lifted a saber that would glow a dark red before cutting down his closest friend. The last image he saw before coming back was of himself on a desolate planet in a valley of some sort and the presence of the Dark side was extremely potent. Virgil came back from the meditation mentally weak and exhausted and took the next few days to recover and ready for the mission ahead. As he rested, he tried to make something of the visions and rid himself of the feeling of power fueled by the Dark side.
The time had come; Cifer, Virgil and a count of two masters as well as their apprentices, both of which of Knight rank, were sent to take care of the matter before it grew in scale. The small cell of Jedi boarded their ship and made way for the core of the problem. On board, they'd meditate and ready themselves for what would lie ahead. Upon reaching the planet, Virgil and Cifer took position as did the others. The plan was simple, attack at the same time in various spots to create confusion while Virgil and Cifer made their way to the Dark Jedi in charge. Cifer and the young Jedi located the room where the Dark Jedi had been and made way there. The two had turned down the final hallway that led to the chamber where the Dark Jedi had been holed up. Standing at the midpoint of the hall was a hooded figure, seeming to be the apprentice of the Dark Jedi. Virgil engaged the foe immediately, employing his latest advancements in Niman. For a short period of time, it seemed that Virgil and the Dark apprentice were on par, in terms of Lightsaber combat. But the young Jedi quickly displayed the gap in their skill when he disarmed the Darksider and pierced his chest with his saber. There was no time for pleasantries, Cifer blew the doors open with a Force Push, jumping through the threshold and engaged the Dark Jedi. As he did, Virgil engaged the troops that flooded the hall in order for Cifer to remain focused on the Dark Jedi. The young Jedi allowed the Force to flow through him freely as he redirected blaster bolts back to their senders while hacking through them. Now at the other end of the hall and no more troops left, Virgil made haste back to the main chamber. As he did, Cifer was thrown aside by the Darksider. Virgil entered the room to engage the Dark Jedi just in time for Cifer to regain himself.
It was obvious that Virgil's power had greatly increased, he held his own against this Dark Jedi until Cifer had joined him. The two of them engaged the threat together, only to be held off with relative ease. The battle was rough, it seemed the Dark Jedi was a Master and nothing the two of them could do would provide victory. Receiving a violent push from the Force, Virgil was thrown into the wall behind him. Within the same motion, both of Cifer’s arms had been severed at the forearm before his abdomen was severed into. Dazed a bit from the blow, Virgil shook his head to regain his focus, only to see the mutilated body of his Master and the Dark Jedi standing over it. At that point, Virgil's foundation in the Force would be tested in its strength. The smallest crack in his foundation wouldn't stand a chance against the magnitude of the shock. Virgil, for a moment, fell to the call of the Dark Side. Lightsaber and engaged the Dark Jedi with new found strength. His attacks were more aggressive and fueled by anger and hate, a passion for revenge. But, even with his new strength he was still no match for this foe. Feeling the disturbance in the Force, the others had already their way to Virgil’s location. As they entered, Virgil was moments away from having his life taken from him. One of the masters sent a potent Force Push towards the Dark Jedi, having it averted, to create a moment for them to engage the Darksider. Both masters dueled the Dark Jedi, eventually overwhelming him as Virgil collected himself and aided the other Knights in securing the room. After the Darksider had finally been cut down, Virgil mourned the loss of his master for a moment before taking his Lightsaber as he accompanied the other Jedi in one last sweep of the area before calling in a the soldiers to occupy the base.
Back on Coruscant, Virgil stood in front of the Council and presented the news of the success of the mission. He presented the Lightsaber of Cifer to the Council and he was rewarded the rank of Knight. A few days had passed before he was fully recognized for completing the Jedi Trials throughout his time as a Padawan. Virgil clipped his braid and began down the path of Knighthood. Shortly after his promotion, Virgil heard of his old friend Rorian after a few years. It was said that his jealousy made him hunger for power and he answered the call of the Dark side a few years ago. When Virgil heard this he began to wonder, he witness the power of the Dark side in combat and then how it felt. If he had the power of the Dark side to begin with, maybe he could have saved his Master. The "what if" began to corrupt his mind.
Virgil spent the next year serving the Order as he normally did, but his mind slowly began to fall when the guilt of his Masters death created a small hunger for power that would begin to progress. The memory of the strength that Dark Jedi had when Virgil and Cifer fought him, the strength he had himself when he overpowered that Dark Jedi with the Dark sides aid. It got to the point where Virgil's mind was twisted by itself. On his next mission, Virgil defected from the Order. From that day forward, Virgil Valdahyde set aside his name and took on a new. Cifer 'Sol' Ragnos. He took the name of his late Master as a constant reminder that its power his seeks, power to avoid the pain of loss.
At Home in the Dark
Sol had begun to surf the cosmos in search of places thick with the Dark side of the Force. He tracked a few down and meditated in the Dark side to immerse himself deeper. His detachment from the Jedi Order felt as if a large burden had been lifted, a limitation erased. He felt as if unlimited power was now within his reach, he could pursue what he wanted - power. Sol felt it was time to hunt down his friend, Rorian, seeing as how he'd have a lot more experience in the Dark side by now. He set out to find, Rorian, experiencing a mass of new things.
Sol traveled to the planet of Tattooine, hearing he could find himself a decent ship here. He planned on dumping the ship he took from Coruscant to eliminate a means of trailing him. The moment Sol landed on Tatooine, a strange feeling came over him, as if a familiar presence was on this planet. A strong bonding feeling lingered within him, but he managed to set it aside as he made it to Mos Eisley. Sol had entered a local Cantina in search of a pilot with a decent ship, but none had peaked his interest. It turned into days and no worthy ship had turned up. Sol ended up selling his current ship to a Smuggler passing through. With the money he acquired, Sol purchased a small living space in town.
Although he felt his powers had sky rocketed, Sol was still young and had much to learn. In his place, Sol began to train himself in meditation and Telekinesis. Before he knew it, his short visit had turned into a year. The year spent on Tatooine, Sol had trained himself in nothing but the Force. He would spend hours upon hours immersing himself in the Force, levitating everything in his home including himself and maintain this meditative state for hours at a time until it became second nature. During the short amount of time he had that was not spent training, Sol had become a regular at the local Cantina and known to a lot of the scum in town.
Sol became good business partners with a Smuggler by the name -- Axel Blackstar. He was very good at what he did, which came with the price of a lot of people wanting him dead. Sol got a nice cut of the profit for taking care of the excess baggage. A good use, seeing as how Axel had more than just a decent ship, but Sol didn't like the high-profile style that Axel had.
One day, before Sol began his daily training regiment, a knock on his door. He went to answer, and to his surprise, it was Axel. This was something never happened, their relationship was strictly business and they only met when business needed to be taken care of. Axel was informed of a man asking about him at the Cantina. He was told it was a shady guy, given the town, shady was the norm. But this guy was described to be on a different level of shady compared to the normal riff raff. Sol acknowledged the message and got dressed to confront this man. When he arrived at the Cantina, Sol could feel a familiar presence. He entered and could pin point the man in the crowded place. As he made his way through the crowd, greeting countless people he knew as he did, he could see the man sitting at the bar. Sol took the stool next him, and by that time he already knew who it was. He acknowledged his old friend before buying him a drink. "How did you know I was here?" Sol asked, it being odd he thought he was the one doing the looking. "The Force brought me too you, I felt your strength grow and your hunger for power expand." Rorian replied, taking a drink from his cup. "I haven't seen you in years; I assume you heard what's happened?" Sol asked, quickly replied with a nod from Rorian. The two spent little time lingering in the past, and jumped right to business. Apparently, Rorian had just murdered his Master and assumed the rank. With perfect timing, Sol had become his Acolyte. A complete change in role, seeing as how Sol was always the stronger one and Rorian always the one struggling to keep up in skill.
The training began that same day, which was nothing new to Sol. Rorian spent the next few years guiding Sol to advance in his dedicated Lightsaber forms of Ataru and Shien/Djem So. Although he could only be of help when it came to Shien, Rorian provided a skill combatant for Sol to train with when sharpening his skills in Ataru. It didn't take long for Sol to grow more adept in the form of Ataru, seeing as how he had dedicated the majority of his life and focus on Ataru, more so than Shien/Djem So. But that is where Rorian came into a play as his new master. Rorian had mastered Shien/ Djem So and Niman, and began to finish the teachings of the form that Sols previous master was unable to finish as well as teach him a few things in Niman. Although Sol had spent about 10 years training day in and day out, the training Rorian had for him would be like nothing he's experienced.
The Hunt
A normal day of training consisted of ruthless and borderline sick, training regiments. Rorian taught Sol the destructive capabilities of the Dark side, being the recipient of many demonstrations of Force Lightning which put his body through hell and back. This was only the first half of his time spent with Rorian. It was a mix of Force training and Lightsaber combat, being taught one of the only visible manifestations of the Force -- Force Lightning. The potency of Sol' Force Lightning was unlocked through his anger, which was brought to the surface through the brutal training, or pain. It went from only being able to produce a lethal Force Lightning when pushed to the edge of rage, to being able to control and harness his anger instead of letting it control him.
The second half of his time training was spent learning the sensory aspect of the Force as well as Lightsaber combat. Sol was put through a mental training regimen that would test his mental capabilities. He was already extremely skilled in Telekinesis, but he was trained to reach out with the Force. Not to move inanimate objects, but to feel the presence of them as well as living things. He would be locked in a room for days on end, in a meditative state, reaching out with the Force to feel the presence of everything outside of the room. To feel the intent of the life forms that inhabited the planet.
The last test Rorian would put Sol through, would be the same test Rorian's master put him through when he was last on Tatooine. The dreaded Krayt Dragon was native to the deserts of Tatooine and feared by many, and at the same time, hunted for their grinding stones. Sol was told that he would be hunting and killing a Krayt Dragon, taking its stone and creating a new Lightsaber as a symbol of severing the last tie he had with the Jedi Order. Of course, Sol acknowledged the finally test and took a speeder along with Rorian out into the desert. For a few days, the two of them survived the harsh terrain while Sol meditated to feel for the life forms throughout the desert. Using a heard of Bantha as a guide, Sol tracked down a Krayt Dragon through the Bantha's travel patterns. Sol could feel something stalking the heard for some time, something in the sand. The air was still and quiet, Sol could feel something was going to occur and the moment was approaching rapidly. Sol took from his hidden position, running toward the Bantha. Startling them a bit as he came close, just as a massive creature surfaced from the sand to catch a Bantha in its jaws. Sol got more than what he had been tracking; a Greater Krayt Dragon that had been swimming through the sand for months had surfaced to feed. Sol slid to a stop as the massive creature tore the Bantha to pieces.
The mighty creature felt the Dark side of the Force flow from Sol' being, and like all Krayt Dragons, it was drawn toward it. It was now a battle to the death, Sol had no option but to slay this beast or die. Rorian, understanding the strength of this monster, aided Sol in fighting it, but allowing Sol to take more charge in the battle. The massive beast lunged its jaws toward Sol, but he was able to jump to the side while delivering a quick blow to the side of the creatures jaw. Sol was to remain completely focused and allow the Force to flow through his body in order to have the physical capability to avoid the furious assault of the beast. Rorian offered a decoy act, drawing the creature’s attention which allowed Sol the opening to jump onto the creatures back using its multiple legs like a ladder. There, Sol drove his Lightsaber into its back, which proved to aggravate the beast. Sol went from having a strong foothold on the beast, to holding onto his rooted saber as the monster bucked and snapped its jaws at him, but failed as he was just high enough on its back to avoid its reach. Rorian tried to utilize this time to deliver a blow to the beast’s underbelly. His efforts failed as he was swiped by the beast’s massive tail. Rorian was thrown into the sand hard, having lost consciousness from the heavy blow.
As the beast slowly began to settle down, Sol reached out with the Force to grab Rorian's saber. He quickly pulled it into his free hand and ignited it. With the two sabers he had, he began climbing the creature’s neck which sent it back into a frantic rage. Sol climbed, now at the crown of the skull; Sol began hacking at the creature’s thick skull a few times before breaking through. Not having anything to hold himself to the beast anymore, he was thrown to the sand with a violent buck. Landing on his feet, Sol centered his mind with intentions to end the battle. The beast let out a gurgled scream as its tongue tangled and blood poured from the jaws onto the sand. Disorientated as the brain began to hemorrhage the creature bobbed its head before laying it down slowly, blood pooling below it. Heavy breathing kicked up clouds of sand briefly before it slowly died out.
Now on one knee, supporting himself with his arm and breathing heavily as well, Sol tried to regain his breath. It took a lot out of him; his eyes still the yellow red it was, now having been immersed deeper into the Dark side. He lifted himself to his feet, feeling no life from the Krayt. He walked over to the lifeless beast and soaked in the victory for a brief moment before severing open it's abdomen and began searching for the stone inside. Rorian was still unconscious as Sol dug for the stone for at least 15 minutes before emerging. It was still a struggle just to stand, having been drained of his energy. He held the smoothed stone in his hand as he collapsed to the ground. He awoke a few hours later at a campsite Rorian set up. He was congratulated by Rorian for slaying a Greater Krayt Dragon and passing the last test. He was recognized as a Dark Jedi Knight. The two rested for a while to regain their strength, meditating regularly before they began making their way back to Mos Eisley.
A Creature is Born From the Will of the Darkside
Sol and Rorian were a day and a half out from Mos Eisley and Sol had finished tuning the Dragon Pearl and was ready to create his new Lightsaber. Parts he had purchased before setting out to hunt the Krayt Dragon had been packed in a pouch as Sol left the campsite to separate himself. He traveled a few miles from the campsite and sat himself atop a flattened rock that poked out from the sand. He sat with his legs crossed and saber parts laid out before him. Sol dug into his cloak and pulled forth the Dragon Pearl and placed it within the pile of saber parts. Sol began to meditate allowing the Force to flow through him. As he did, he began to levitate the parts as well as himself. He meditated for hours, slowly crafting his saber to fit him perfectly.
After a while, he had created his new saber and proceeded to destroy his old one to signify cutting all ties with the Jedi Order. Sol had holstered his new saber and made his way back to camp and as he did, his mind began to meditate on something. All his ties to his past had not been severed if he thought about it, Rorian was still a part of his life and they both grew up in the Temple. As he came up on the campsite, Sol had already come to terms with what he needed to do in order to further himself. Rorian had just finished packing up camp and they hopped into the speeder and continued on their way back to the armpit of the galaxy. Sol had requested that Rorian stop the speeder and accompany him to what Sol, described as a disturbance he felt. Rorian knew off the bat that something was not right; he didn't feel any disturbance in the Force. Out of nowhere, Rorian drew his saber and attacked Sol with vicious swings of his saber. Sol matched each blow with a well employed block, after igniting his red-bladed saber, with relative ease. Rorian expressed the knowledge of Sol' intent that the Force had given him. He knew that Sol planned on killing him, and refused to be beaten by his apprentice. Rorian would do whatever it would take for him to maintain his superiority over Sol, but little did he know, Sol had far surpassed him once again.
The two of them engaged one another in heated combat, both utilizing their skills to the fullest of their knowledge. Their sabers clashed rapidly and viciously as gusts of wind tossed sand left and right. The battle went on for no more than 10 minutes before Sol delivered a crippling blow to Rorian's abdomen, putting him to his knees. No words were exchanged, just a single look as Rorian looked up at Sol. It seemed the entire desert had fell silent, even the wind had died down and only the hum of Sol's saber echoed. He'd lift the weapon above his head and bring it down at an angle, severing Rorian in two from his left should down to the right side of his waist. The two pieces fell to the desert floor as Sol sheathed his Lightsaber. He didn't mourn his friend, but simply lifted his hood and hipped his saber before jumping back into the speeder and making way for Mos Eisley.
It felt like a great burden had been lifted from his shoulders and nothing had been left to tie him to the Jedi Order. Now, he could commit to his path for power with all of his being. Now entering Mos Eisley, the first person to greet him was Axel Blackstar. He had a job for Sol, and quite a large sum of money as a reward. It came as news to Axel that a Bounty Hunter was hired by an undisclosed source and the bounty was set to 100,000 credits. In order to ensure Sol wouldn't in fact take the bounty, Axel offered him 150,000 credits to guard him and kill the Bounty Hunter hired. Sol agreed, demanding half up front.
Sol accompanied Axel on his ship, a fine ship it was, as he made a few runs. He stayed on Axel's ship for a month, meditating and keeping his skills sharp. For a week, Sol kept tabs on a stalker, whom he assumed was the Bounty Hunter that had been tracking Axel down. Sol had warned Axel of his findings, and suggested he continue on his route as if nothing was out of the ordinary. He figured the hunter would make his move at Axel's next stop, which was Iridonia. Upon arrival, the stalking ship was nowhere to be found, but Sol could feel the presence that had followed them for days. Axel and Sol entered a local Cantina, hoping to draw the hunter inside if enough time was spent inside. Sol had known a good hunter would wait for a clear opportunity, which would be after exiting the Cantina. The two spent hours inside, waiting out the hunter. Eventually, a person walked into the bar, Sol feeling the familiar presence, separated himself form Axel to avoid drawing attention to him. This 'hunter' showed he lacked experience in a few fields, but his skill was apparent from reliable sources that Axel had. All Sol needed was one slip up, and walking into the bar was that mistake. Sol began hunting the hunter as he moved through the crowd as the Bounty Hunter inched closer to Axel, who had been sitting at the bar.
No warning was given to Axel that the hunter had entered the room; it would only make his body language change if he'd known. Under the mask of the heavy crowd, Sol kept within 5ft of the hunter without alerting him. The Dark Jedi glared from the depth of his drawn hood, sulfuric orbs locked onto his prey as a blaster was drawn from the hunter hip. He held it to his side as he squeezed by people, until within range when he began to raise it. Just as his sight was set and the shot was clear, a quick buzz then a stretched hum echoed through the Cantina as Sol delivered two precise swings of his Lightsaber. He severed the hunter’s hand, then forearm, clean from the arm itself. A scream of pain that would send chills down the spine of those who looked on, would quickly be cut short as Sol would lift the man up by the head using the might of the Force. His Lightsaber, silenced as it was sheathed, would be placed back at his side. Sol looked deep into the eyes of his victim, as if trying to read their soul before taking it, and slowly closed his fist. As he did so, the crowd stepped back further than they had already from the gut wrenching sound of a skull crushing. The lifeless body fell to the ground, skull crushed, leaving their appearance disfigured and bloody.
The next move was to get off the planet with haste, and they did so, making a straight shot back to Tatooine. After their arrival, Axel gave Sol the remainder of the reward. What Sol did next caught Axel off guard, he demanded that Axel turn over his ship as interest, in regards to the length Sol had to stay on his ship. Axel refused, but was quickly lifted by the Force. Sol then proceeded to break a few things down and the options Axel had. He could either relinquish he ship or Sol would gladly collect the bounty that was, to his knowledge, still in effect. Gasping for air, Axel nodded before being dropped to his knees in a fit of coughs. With an expression not to thrilled, Axel rose to his feet. Sol expressed to him how it was nothing personal, and this was just business. Sol would make a few moves within the next few days to have special made light armor crafted for him. The armor was light and consisted of light greaves and chest plate made of lightweight material constructed to defend against light blaster fire. Sol also had a new robe created, made of Armorweave for slight resistance to Lightsabers. The final piece he had crafted for him was a face mask that attached to the extended collar of the chest plate that wrapped around his neck. The mask was mainly for defensive purposes, but had a few minor capabilities such as a built in com link. It was also a breathing apparatus for various situations that would call for it. After a few weeks, Sol ended up leaving Tatooine after hearing a bit of chatter while down at the Cantina. He heard something about the Sith and a bit about what exactly they have been heard to do. Of course, Sol' interest was peaked and he set out within the hour to find greater power.

Early Life
Sol was born Virgil Valdahyde, to parents he never knew.

It was the age-old bout, Jedi facing off against the Sith. Sol had crossed paths with a Jedi Knight on duty on the planet of Coruscant. Sol had returned to Coruscant after many years, just as a pit stop slash recon mission. Sol thought he'd ask around the slum Cantina's about the Sith while hiding his presence in the Force. Sol had been seated at the bar when a Jedi Knight entered, apparently with business with a criminal. The Knight came closer to Sol, searching the crowd for a certain person, not knowing what creature lurked in the mix. It wasn't until the Jedi caught a glimpse of Sol' sulfuric eyes, the tell-tale sign of a darksider, did he quickly jump into action. The Jedi ignited his saber as the crowd around him backed up. Sol remained seated as a few people around him began to panic, screaming in sheer horror as their beings were overcome by unspeakable fear. They caused a scene, taking the Jedi's mind off his target for a split second. Enough time for Sol to push forward with the Force, knocking the panicking people as well as the Jedi knight, into the back wall. Sol stood up quickly after, igniting his saber just as the Jedi rose to his feet from under a broken table. The two engaged each other in saber combat; the Knight obviously had imperfections in his form. Sol capitalized on this, making light work of the young Jedi. Sol severed both hands off before lobbing his head off. Now at risk of being discovered, Sol made haste to get off this Jedi ridden planet
