Biography: Torran Doe was born in the city of Dor'shan, on the planet Dorin. He was the son to the once great Jedi Shai Koon and her husband Tarin Doe, a moderately successful merchant. The jedi knight had committed the taboo of falling in love and getting caught in her youth and was promptly expelled from the Order. Despite her falling out with the Council, Shai Koon approached the situation as a personal failing, never harboring ill will towards them. The pregnancy came many years later and shortly after coming into the world, Torran showed solid signs of force sensitivity.
Only a month after Torran's birth, his parents decided that he would become a jedi like his mother had once been. They couldn't deliver Torran personally due to shame and respect for the Council so Torran's father asked a favor of a family friend. Tirlo, an old Rodian who had been visiting the planet on business, was able to make the trip. A couple hours worth of talking between adults and Torran would find himself on his way to Coruscant.
The trip to Coruscant seemed to be going quite smooth, albeit slow until a single ship of unknown make attacked the wary Tirlo and the Kel Dor infant. Before the Rodian could administer any evasive maneuvers, the ship had managed to disable his own with a barrage of ion charges. Tirlo was now frantic with fear and began to panic, the attackers boarding his ship as he hid the child. The elderly man begged for his life as his ship was plundered for goods. His pleas fell on deaf ears as they laughed at the pathetic merchant, moments before blasting a hole between his eyes.
Unfortunately for the raiders, they were just barely in Republic space. This was reinforced by the patrol ship that proceeded to show up as they rounded up the last of whatever goods they were able to procure. The ship promptly destroyed the raid ship as it began to take off. Upon close inspection of the looted merchant vessel, Torran was discovered and sent to the nearest Republic planet. Once there, his Force potential was recognized by a passing Jedi who then sent word to Coruscant.
Finally reaching the Jedi Temple, Torran was now in the care of the Order. As he grew, the young Kel Dor proved to be an ample student, taking his lessons to heart as best he could. While he had proven to be an enthusiastic learner, he exhibited bouts of impatience and anger when unable to grasp something quickly. Despite this, he continued training until the day came that he was chosen by a Jedi Knight. A young twi'lek Knight by the name of Saren had chose the Kel Dor child as her padawan learner and the two quickly formed a solid bond.
It was quickly discovered that his master favored not the role of mediator or combatant, but of the spy. More often than not, Saren would leave Torran to tend to minor errands and duties while she went off to collect information or tail someone. While this bothered him a bit at first, his ability to stay light on his feet and move quietly earned him the right to tag along with her. This went on for years, the Kel Dor learning from her wisdom, soaking up every experience like a sponge. When it came to combat, Torran could only marvel at her prowess with not only the lightsaber, but with unarmed combat.
Torran, always willing to learn, began training in the martial arts soon after witnessing his master in action. In time, Torran was proven competent in the Shii-Cho form of lightsaber combat and was given the option of learning Saren's preferred style, Ataru.
Torran's training in the Ataru form began two weeks later. It was going quite well and Saren was deeply impressed with Torran's progress, despite it being risky. On their next mission, Torran and Saren were sent to Korriban on an undercover mission to discover the whereabouts of a possible dark jedi. There was indeed a dark jedi on Korriban, hiding in the old sith academy. Upon investigating the area, horrible visions of his master dying invaded Torran's mind and unnerved him greatly. When the entered the academy, the dark jedi was waiting for them and drew his
The battle was fierce and wild, blow after blow was parried perfectly by the dark jedi, who, soon managed to destroy her lightsaber, thus creating an opening in Saren's defense, and stabbed her through the chest and force pushed her into Torran, knocking him off his feet and and down the entrance ramp. It was horrible, the person whom he loved, dying in his arms, it was too much to bear. Even now as the life was quickly draining away from her, Saren looked absolutely beautiful, her serene eyes slowly loosing their color. Torran was frantically telling her to live, live to fight another day. It was then that he confessed his love for her and held her close, she just smiled as she finally became one with the force. Torran realized this and started to sob uncontrolably. The dark jedi started to laugh maniacally and Torran's feelings of grief immediatly turned into that of uncontrollable anger and in a fit of rage, ran back up the ramp and finished the duel with his love's killer. The battle raged on, Torran swinging his saber like a madman, gradually managed to wear away the dark jedi's defense, but not without losing his own lightsaber due to his opponent slicing it in half. Torran then did the unthinkable and preformed his first force choke, lifting the dark jedi off the ground and throwing him full force into the wall behind him. Torran then picked up his enemy's lightsaber and stabbed it into the dark jedi's chest, the same spot that he stabbed his master. The dark jedi died shortly after, but not without laughing like a maniac, in doing this lost his head from Torran losing his temper again.
Torran then rushed back to his love's body, only to see that it wasn't present, only clothes remained. Without knowing what happened, Torran left Korriban, a new darkness inside him and a new lightsaber on his belt, only to return a year later, after doing more missions with a new master, one who was very much like his first, she was beautiful, talented, and had a calm mind similar to that of the late Saren, but this new master, a Aiya Vao, didn't possess that same spark. He had decided long ago, on the day of his master's death, that he would return in an attempt to get stronger so he could prevent something like this from ever happening again. Torran packed up a small ship full of supplies to sustain himself for a while and left the Order. Torran arrived on Korriban a changed man and entered a cave nearby the broken down academy that oozed with the dark side of the force. Torran entered the large cavern and blocked the enterance, not to come out for almost a whole year.
During his time in the dark cavern, Torran preformed rigorous training and honed his skills in the force, unarmed combat, and in the art of Ataru as well as Makashi. There happened to be a large infestation of mynocks, which were disposed of over time and only helped increase Torran's prowess with a lightsaber, along with his other quickly developing dark powers. With the help of the force, Torran was able to sustain himself on what he brought with him for little less than a year. After he destroyed the last of the mynocks, Torran began taking trips deeper into the cavern, finding more creatures of the dark to fight and kill, mastering force lightning and force choke and grip. Eventually Torran left the cave to get more supplies and left the planet for Nar Shadaa.
When Torran landed on the smuggler's moon, he immediatly ran into trouble. A group of Duros, trandoshan, and rodians tried to steal his ship and kill him. This was a bad idea on their part and in no time, Torran secured his ship and brutally killed every one of the thugs. Torran then proceeded to one of the many merchants and instead of paying the rediculous price for the amount of supplies he was getting, he beheaded the greedy merchant and took twice what he was going to pay. With his business on the moon done, Torran returned to the Sith planet and entered the broken down Academy.
Torran began exploring the old sith academy intently and found several things of interest, including old lightsabers, a few holocrons, and a few other nick nacks. Torran spent about 3 weeks in the academy, continuing to hone his dark skills and eventually made his way to the old tombs of the once great sith lords. He entered each and every one of them, springing old traps, awakening old creatures of evil, and finding small artifacts here and there. Torran later made his home in the deepest depths of Tulak Horde's tomb and trained for another year, feeding off of the dark energies that consumed the tomb. It wasn't until Torran was now 20 that his second master found him.
When Aiya approached him, she was shocked to see he had been so deeply corrupted by the dark side. After many failed attempts to convince Torran to come back to the light, Torran's anger started to come to the surface and he drew his lightsaber. With no choice but to fight, Aiya drew her's as well and the two fought for what seemed like hours. Aiya managed to force push Torran into one of the many broken down pillars in the hall of the tomb and he dropped his lightsaber. Aiya then swiftly leaped at Torran to administer the finishing blow but Torran ducked, not without getting slashed across the shoulder just slightly and administered a healthy dose of force lightning on her. Once he stopped electricuting her, she collapsed to the ground and Torran force pulled his lightsaber to his hand and re-ignited it. Right before he could kill her, a voice in his head told him to think about what he was doing. It was the voice of Saren, whom appeared in front of him as what appeared to be a ghost. Torran couldn't believe his eyes and dropped his lightsaber and falling to his knees.
Instantly like a ton of terracrete bricks, all of the shame and anguish came back. The ghost of Saren gently put her hand on his head and Torran slowly realized what he had become was the very thing that had killed his master. With a new change of heart, he destroyed his own lightsaber and picked up Aiya, not before saying his goodbyes to his former love interest. With that, the ghost of Saren faded into nothing and Torran walked out of the ancient tomb, his second master in his arms, unconscious and boarded her ship. He piloted the both of them back to Coruscant and fell to his knees in front of the council, begging for forgiveness.
The council agreed that he had come to terms with himself and that he would indeed be reaccepted into the Order. With a new outlook on life, Torran started going on missions again with master Aiya, with whom he had a new level of respect for. Before he could start any new missions however, he needed to make a new lightsaber. Torran found a gold Firkrann crystal and built a new lightsaber, the blade being yellow in memory of Saren. His first mission was to settle a dispute on Kinyen. Torran and Aiya arrived on the Gran inhabited planet and managed to calm the usually peaceful species' problem. The problem was that a corrupt political figure had made some less than ideal agreements with a band of mandalorians to get more power. Torran was the first to figure out the politician's plan and Aiya was the first to confront him. The master and padawan managed to subdue the politician only to be busied with the mandalorians whom made a deal with him. After a somewhat messy fight, Torran and Aiya came out on top, smoothing out the dispute that could have and would have caused a major uproar in a large majority of cities on the planet.
Upon returning to the Temple on Coruscant, Aiya asked that Torran become a jedi knight and the council gladly accepted after hearing of the success of the mission. After the knighting ceremony, Torran became a jedi sentinal and has since continued going on missions, not feeling that he is worthy of taking on a padawan as of yet and also teaches younglings on occasion at the Jedi Temple.
Three months later full of lightsaber, force, and body training, Torran had finished several missions, all successes, and now found himself on Coruscant with Aiya as his partner. It was supposed to be a simple recon mission but the pair split up and Aiya had run into a Dark Jedi Master by the name of Lord Chiron.
While Torran was off elsewhere, keeping an eye on the target of the mission, Aiya ran after Chiron in an attempt to end him. Aiya eventually cornered the dark master and put up a good fight, unfortunately not being skilled enough to defeat him and died by his hand. Torran had felt his presence as well and the fading of Aiya's presence and made haste to their location, arriving just in time to witness his best friend's death.
With a furious cry filled with despair and anger, the Kel Dor sentinal launched himself at the master, unleashing his skills with a lightsaber on him and taking him by surprise. After wearing away his defenses, Chiron came out on top but did not kill Torran, instead, manipulation of the mind came into play, twisting the young jedi genius's mind to the dark side once more.
As Torran and his new master made their way to his ship, the pair ran into the dark lady of the sith, miss Renata. After a frighteningly short battle with a jedi, Renata gave a special communication device to Chiron, issuing an invitation to join the sith in three weeks time. After recieiving the device, the pair of dark jedi made their way off planet, headed towards Korriban to train in the ways of the dark side.
Two weeks of rigorous training made Torran very strong in both the force AND in lightsaber combat, being so skilled as to match lord Chiron in a one on one lightsaber duel. It was now 4 days before the big gathering and Torran's growing desire for the teachings of the sith was noticed by his master. His master was not a man of sharing and so, that night, Chiron attempted to assassinate his prodigy and was met with Torran's saber.
After a long drawn out battle, Chiron was pushing back and was on the verge of winning. With a burst of rage, Torran used the force to great effect and blasted him backwards with a well placed force wave. Now the tables were turned and Torran eventually came out on top, winning the battle yet not killing his former master. With a slash to the arm, Torran screamed at Chiron to never return and stole the communication device that was given to chiron by Renata, taking the title of Dark Jedi master for himself.
It is now the day of the gathering and Torran is ready to serve the sith as a faithful assassin and eventual master of the force. He will now march into battle at Rhen Var, destroying the narrow minded jedi scum.
