The Force Unleashed Demo

Played the demo today, and I was skeptical at first. I loved the old Jedi games and remember Jedi Outcast as toping my list. I love the combat, its smooth, easy to combo, and satisfying to slaughter squads of stormtroopers. Physics is great, from slamming things into people to bending a steel rod into the path of a Tie-fighter, boom! Well I was impressed and had great fun so I'm picking this up for sure. What does everyone else think whom have tried the demo?

Holy mother of Jenno! I played this and almost cried when it came to an end. This will absolutely be on my Must Buy at Best Buy list.

It's like a second skin. Besides why should everyone conform to the popularity of basic pants and shirt when for centuries we have dressed in a more interesting fashion. We have a very boring fad of clothing right now and I hope it dies with disco.

Reviews for TFU have been pretty average to be honest however, that doesn't mean that I won't be picking it up, after all I am a Star Wars fan.

Well I got the game it it rocks my socks. Don't let G4 or the other critics get you down. The story is great and the game is pretty nifty. I'm almost at the end of the game and still surprise my self with new ways of bashing a stormtrooper to death, lol.

its a good game but they buggered up the 360 version..apparently on the last level there is a bug on the bonus that sometimes apperas as "default txt" and you can't save or anything.. just hope they bring out a patch..thank the stars i have a ps3 hehe

I've been purposely avoiding any news about the game... other than what you guys have said, obviously...

My boyfriend's workplace is doing this "cash bash" thingy, during which they will be giving away everything from gift cards to big screen tvs. They will be giving away a couple of ps3's and 360's and a wii or two if my sources are correct. I want a wii for the extra levels and the fun-ness of it in general, so I'm gonna hold out on getting the game until at least Sunday.

The way the cash bash works is that they have every employees name in a hat (or bucket or whatever) and depending on how many years you've worked there, that's how many times your name is in there. He's worked there for 4 years I think, so he's bound to win something. You can't win more than one prize though. What they do is, if your name comes out a second time, you have the option of keeping the prize you already won, or trading for the one they just offered.

They do this kind of thing for a christmas party every year. They would be sending their employees on a vacation (usually they go to vegas) But this year they took over another place and so they can't send everyone on vacation. Next year though... we might go on a cruise!


So yeah... all of that to say that I'm going stir crazy waiting to see which system I should buy the game for.

Not that I can play it...I get back to Germany to realize my old television doesn't have the connections for my 360 and our tech store doesn't have what I need. But, no worries, I wanted an excuse to spend a couple grand on a flat screen HD television...

My title is about Force unleased, Lv 2. Almost beat the whole level with a Jawa. XD

I beat the game in... a day... well, I completed all but the last level in a day and then finished that. I enjoyed playing it, just wished it had a few extra levels and one or two more twists and turns to, but I was hooked on what little there was.

I have an obsession with the Long Way Down Bonus kill, I can't help myself sometimes.

You know what's fun, throw stormtroopers or whatever else straight up in the air, and following them as they ark through they sky and try and see where they land. Or one time with the stormtroopers I tried to see how many I could get to grab onto each other at one time. I had a chain of three, but there wasn't a fourth one around to see if i could get them to grab onto something.

All in all an excellent game, but way too short, I wanted it to be longer like along the lines of KOTOR. Seriously if they had made KOTOR realtime as opposed to turn based, that would have been the coolest game ever. And Force Unleashed should've been 40 hours long as opposed to 7 for me, and that was on the medium difficulty.
