Birth and Family Background:
Raven was born to two archaeologists from Alderaan named Rhy and Sela
Lightstar. They were driven archaeologists who thought of work first
before family. When Raven was conceived this was an unexpected surprise.
They wondered how they were going to take care of a child and work at
the same time. They were not enthusiastic on having a child but would do
their best to care for the baby when it arrives.
They were on an excavation on the world of Onderon when Sela started to have
contractions. The baby was coming, so they went to the hospital in
Great Iziz and Raven was born. She was a small baby weighing only five
pounds. As Raven grew to be ten months old Sela and Rhy noticed that
their child was different. They noticed that she was force sensitive by
her reactions and reflexes. They knew that the best thing for her was to
give her to the Jedi before the Sith find her.
They boarded an refugee ship to the core to Coruscant and brought Raven to
the Jedi Temple. Though they loved Raven they were ill pre pared to take
care of her and knew that the Jedi were their best option.
10 Months - 12 yrs old:
So life at the temple was all she knew and Raven adjusted very well for
she was so young when she first came that it made the transition easy
for her. . Not knowing who her parents were at all. She learned to hone
her senses and understand the Jedi way of life that was in doctrined in
her since she came to the temple. At the age of four she entered the
Bear Clan and learned to use the basics of the force. She was a natural
at telekinesis and was above average in her age group. She was popular
with the other Younglings for she was able to make friends easily. She
does get nightmares once in awhile and dreams of her parents but she
doesn’t realize it’s her parents that she is dreaming about.
Raven is almost at the padawan age and will be looking for a master soon. She
has not received her lightsaber and is carrying a training saber right
now. She hopes soon she will be worthy of a master instead of going into
the Agricultural Corps, where many padawans who don’t receive a master
go. Not that there is anything wrong with that but Raven has high
expectations for herself and hopes to be a splendid Jedi Knight someday.
