Species Type: Bipedal feline reptilian

Average Maximum age: 500 (Depending on clan)

Average Height: 6 foot 3 inches is the average for females. 7 foot 9 inches for males.
Average Weight: 185 for all.
Notable biological features: Retractable fangs that come out depending on the force around the Daranth. They are mainly seen during combat. Males have large plates over their chest and the back of their hands. Upon closer inspection these plates are made of scales the class and overlap making plates as hard as diamonds. Adorn proudly on their heads are large fins.
Number of limbs and Type: Two arms and Two legs, and some have tails.
Culture: Hunting and food: Daranth are beings who feast upon the force. They eat nothing and yet are never hungry. They are hungry for force power. Their diet that is eaten to gain such power is the members who will die soon. They also eat Jedi and Sith because of training from a Sith to eat them.
Childhood: Daranth are judged by the grand clan's elders. if they are to plump or have a disability they are tossed into the gas hole. Those how are deemed worthy are sent home to their clans. each youngling is then trusted to figure out how to fight. when it reaches four years of age it is sent away and so they must survive against the cold, and the beasts of the Tarak plains. If they reach Tarak's crashed starfighter they are to grab a crystal from the cave under the ship. then they must return home. if they live to come home to expectant mothers and fathers then they are made full Daranth.
Decisions: the way fights between clans are resolved is that the grand clan shall pick 5 Daranth from each clan and they well do five different tests. each test is a point and the clan with the most points wins the battle and thus their clan resolves the battle with fewer casualties.
Life: Life for Daranth is simple. It's be prepared to be chosen to fight and be prepared for the future. Many become weapon makers and soldiers. others become historians and other jobs. Only albino's who are superior to others are allowed to be Grand clan job holders (Judge, Jury, Executioner, and ECT)
History:The dark era of the planet was when species became one to make the Daranth. the first hybrids of the Daranth made the laws and social structure of the Daranth. Daranth thrived but the ice age started and the sun they had was too far away to warm the planet. so thousands of creatures both hybrid and the originals flocked to the gas hole where a gas giant's gas had gathered. The originals went with the gas to the atmosphere where they lit the gas. It began orbiting the planet and turning the ice age away.
the Daranth thrives but soon an even darker time then the dark era would arise. A ship full of Sith crashed on Darathon. The Daranth could feel them through the force and chased any Sith. the rest were killed but Sith were eaten. all but one, the one was Tarak who was the cause for the crash. he escaped in a fighter and wrecked and he earned the honor of respect from a Daranth albino. Dares the only albino who never joined the grand clan at the time was the one who respected the Sith. so they began piloting. Tarak found a still workable transport and left with the Daranth. as they traveled toward the planets of known space Tarak taught them of lightsabers. the made their own and then he carved them in his image and they were assassins under his tutelage. they slaughtered hundreds of Sith and Jedi. Soon though they turned on Tarak and what allies joined him. So the Sith and Jedi made a truce and sent the Daranth back to Darathon. They forced Tarak to go with and it was his second in command who finally ate him.
So life returned to normal and the Daranth became forgotten. 3600 BBY when another Sith found these force sensitive assassins and soon Sith began kidnapping Daranth to make them assassins or take them to become Sith.
Albino notes: Albino Daranth are special and rare to find. they are the greatest of the Daranth and when one is born Sith and Jedi can feel it through the force. For albinos their fins stretch down their necks following down their spine and make a tail. their fangs are also poisonous and they have claws that match their plates.
