Faction: Republic Military
Department: Army
Rank: Private
Name: Lukus Teller
Race: Reythan, Human.
Age: 22
Height: 5’11
Weight: 185lbs
Birth place: Teks, Reytha
Appearance:
Lukus may not be the most handsome person in the galaxy, but his looks are fair. He has a round head which contains just a little stubble. His hair was medium length and wavy before joining the Armed Forces. Now his pitch black hair is barely noticeable thanks to his buzz cut. His eyes are a beautiful. They’ve often been compared to shiny blue marbles.
He was of average height on Reytha and pretty good sized. He’s not too muscular but working on the farms does require a certain physique. His hands are rough and almost stained from all the dirt and mud he’s worked with over the years.
Personality:
Lukus is a carefree man. All he cares about is making a living. His family was somewhat big due to being farmers, but he’s never been much of a family guy. He likes to explore and discover new things which is one reason he left his home and joined the military. Lukus isn’t much of a talker at first but he tends to open up once he knows someone pretty well.
He’s not very political but he doesn’t want to see a Galaxy ran by an Empire. He believes in the freedom and democracy that comes with being a Republic. Lukus knows the Republic is corrupt and isn’t always right, but wouldn’t trade it for the Empire. He also has respect for what the Jedi Order represents and tends to be jealous that he wasn’t force sensitive.
Skills:
Machinery and Computers: With all the technology that the Galaxy has, there were plenty of machines that helped run the farm. Lukus has familiarized himself with these machines and computers and has a basic knowledge on how the systems work.
Rifle/Aim: Lukus may have been a farm hand, but he was always the hunter in the family. He would go out into the wild with hunting parties and take down big game for meat processing. He’s become quite good with a rifle and his aim isn’t too shabby.
Basic Survival Skills/First Aid: Reytha doesn’t have a lot of medical centers and Lukus had to learn to treat wounds and sickness while out on the farm. These set of skills is perhaps Lukus’s strong point. He’s always been a wiz when it comes to medical ‘alchemy ‘. He knows many different combinations of herbs and planets that can be used for several different illnesses. He’s also become good at bandaging broken limbs.

Bio:
The Teller family is one of the biggest farming families on the planet of Reytha. They own several fields, processing plants, and fisheries. The family resides in the small community of Teks. Teks is a small hub that stores and handles food shipments to and from the capital city of Yeere.
Lukus was the last born child of the immediate Teller family. Before him was two males and one female. Being the youngest of the kids, Lukus was often pampered and sheltered by his mother, but that didn’t stop his father from toughing him up. While at home his mother would do all of his work and made sure he had plenty to eat, but when the males were handling ag business, Lukus’s father made him work nearly twice as hard. This extra labor didn’t bother Lukus and in fact he actually enjoyed it.
His father made to explain why he had to do extra labor, and Lukus understood fully what he meant. Due to his hard work and outstanding fortitude, Lukus become one of the hardest working farm hands on Reytha.
His popularity of being a hard worker didn’t kick in with the populace until he reached his early teens. Local farming families would pay Lukus to help out on their farms when they needed the extra hand. He didn’t have a hard finding job through his teenage life on Reytha.
When he was in his mid-teens, Lukus was given a rifle and taught how to shoot. Once he got his aim down he began to join in on hunting parties that took place on Reytha. The planet was filled with many large beast whose meats sold well among the Core planets. Hunting was one Lukus’s favorite past times, but it didn’t compare to his skills in medicine.
Being so far away from more populated Republic planets, it hard to find a good doctor on Reytha or on nearby planets. A small school on Reytha was dedicated to educating kids on basic medical skills and practices. Lukus excelled astonishingly in the field of medicine. He learned his herbs, plants, and flora with haste. His skills at creating remedies and medicines were as impressive. Many people believed Lukus could become a great doctor one day, but it wasn’t in his personality.
During his early twenties, Lukus decided that the farm life, while it was good at times and was pretty simple, was getting boring and decided he wanted some adventure in his life. He knew the Republic would be looking for soldiers for the war and decided to fly to Coruscant and sign up for the military academy.

The warm sun was shining in the early hours of the day. The dew was drying up rapidly. Lukus was standing behind his house staring out into the field one last time before he left home. The wind got up just enough so that Lukus could catch a whiff of the fresh aroma that lingered in the nearby garden. For a Galaxy so full of technology, it was this simple view of nature’s blessing that made Lukus feel so cozy and warm on the inside. He knew he would miss his home, and he knew he would miss the dirt and wild game that roamed the fields. Despite this, he wanted something else in his life. The Galaxy was huge and he couldn’t waste his life away on just one planet.
Off in the distance he could hear some local birds chirping at each other. These chirps were drowning out the noise coming from the front yard in his mind. He closed his eyes to embrace the wind one more time before his mother called his name from within the home.
He returned inside where his family had his belongings ready for shipment. “Your father has the speeder ready.” His mother smile and ran her hands through his hair. She wanted to kiss him on the cheek but he was far too old for a mothers kiss. She decided against it and stepped out of the way so that his father could step forward.
“I’m proud of you son. You were an excellent farm had, and good hunter. I’m sure the Republic will be glad to have someone like you among their ranks.” He paused for a moment as he looked back his daughter. She was tearing up at the fact her baby brother was leaving. The father stepped back just in time as the girl flung herself forward and landed in Lukus’s arms. She embraced him harder than anyone else in the family did. They had a special connection growing. They were the youngest of all the siblings and often spent a lot of time together. They were not only brother and sister, but they were best friends. Lukus easily pushed her off of him knowing she would never let go. “I’ll miss you Lukus. Be careful.”
His father picked up his luggage and proceeded out the door expecting his son to follow. As he had expected, Lukus said goodbye again and followed his father through the front door. His father had thrown the case in the back seat of the open speeder and climbing into the driver seat. Lukus made his way to the speeder with haste and followed suite on the passenger side. He had a long trip ahead of him. He was eager to get to Coruscant and get into the military. He could only imagine the kinds of planets he would visit.
