Does this animated series mean the end for it? Also... thoughts? I think I'll give it a chance. I watched the Clone Wars series (still haven't seen season 5/last season yet), and while not anything spectacular, it was still entertaining. Plus, this subject matter could prove to be interesting.

I was really giddy for a live action SW show set in this era. But I'm guessing if they're doing this it will prolly replace that idea. Which is a shame.
I tried watching Clone Wars, but I think after the "Mandalorians" and the protosaber I was just like... "No." Cad Bane was the only thing I actually enjoyed from that show lol.
The fact that it will air on disney alone tells me I at least will likely be disappointed. That era is supposed to be a very dark one for the galaxy, with the Empire just crushing the galaxy under its heel. I really can't see them portraying that brutality/fear right on a children's station y'know?

Well, the hour-long premiere will be on Disney, but the regular episodes will be on Disney XD... which seems to be a bit more geared towards pre-teens/teens, from my limited viewing of programming on it.
(It's also where their new Spider-man and Iron Man animated series air).
But I'm willing to give it a look; I'm keeping positive. ;p

I'll do what I always do. Wait till it comes out, hear what you guys and others have to say about it, then if its good I will buy it on DVD lol. If not I won't watch it. However, i had friends who told me Phantom Menace was good.... I never spoke to them again

I'm gonna be optimistic, i did like the clone wars, and the prequels aren't that bad >_> Same here. I just take them as enjoyable entertainment, a diversion. Not like they're meant to be award-winning cinematic achievements. ;p Star Wars is a bit cheesy at times, and that's what I like about it. |

The Phantom Menace was one of the worst films I have seen. And the other prequels were ok appart from all the bits with Hayden Christen talking in them. Clone wars were ok for what they are.
