First up, my favorite torture-magnet, the master of misfortune, the bringer of bad news, the herald of heck, and the poor kid that'll probably get his due diligence someday (but won't get it easy)...

Appearance: Vance is a large young man with curly hair, a single pointed ear and a single round one. Among his features is a small arrow-shaped scar on his left hand. He has blue eyes, chocolate-colored hair, and an average nose hovering above an imperfect set of teeth. He is of a tan skin tone (white), and has a dull chin and strong legs. Notable are developing muscles on his arms and torso.
Vance is known for being controversial to his build. He has broad shoulders and seems brutish in appearance. His figure has few curves, making him seem less like a Jedi and more like a Galactic bouncer. Nevertheless, Vance has never let his appearance influence him.
Vance is known to for being natural. He only cuts his hair, which curls into what might be known as an afro, when it begins to hang over his forehead. He shaves only when he can't feel the skin of his jaw, and allows the hairs on his arms and legs to do as they please. Depending on standards, some call him unhygienic.
Vance's face is fair. His nose comes to a slightly rounded point, allowing his eyes to be the main focus of his face. His lips do not extend further than his cheekbones (which are difficult to locate), and his eyebrows are solid in density.
Personality: Vance is generally a peaceful guy. Slow to provoke and sarcastic, it is rather difficult to get him screaming. He is normally very patient yet decisive in his action. He also has a personal philosophy: We can never know everything and can never be totally sure of anything (save for the Force, perhaps).
Vance generally laughs at insults. While some claim he is laid back, Vance truly demands enough patience to respond to even the worst of remarks with a sarcastic reversal. While not of an inhuman tolerance, Vance can generally deal with the worst of people.
Still, Asano has his down-sides. When angered (however rarely), Vance is known to become rather apathetic and self-absorbed. While he is aware of this, Vance tends to simply not care, as any angered person might. However enraged, it is at times such as these that Asano seeks solitude, often turning to meditation; his personal trump card to the path to the Dark side.
Beyond all, Vance is a logical thinker. When confronted with problems, Vance always attempts to weigh all his options; even those he may not agree with. While indeed a man of the Jedi way, Vance recognizes the flaws in the both the Order and the its rules. However, Vance still maintains that selflessness is a virtue, and does his best to display it in himself.
Vance is also rather content with nothing but individual thought. A day filled with people seems at times more difficult than a day meditating on a stone to the young Jedi. Although Vance has ample social skills, he prefers silence and thoughtful discussion over yelling and mobs.

Current Life in a nutshell: A Jedi Padawan still in mid-tutoring, Vance is the padawan of Tal Firians, slowly plowing his way into his future and determining what he will do with himself once he gets there... via myriads upon myriads of questions.
