The Tall blond Jedi had stepped out of his starfighter after landing in the flight deck of the Jedi temple, time to clear his head ever sense his fierce duel with one of his close friends Cassandra. It had been a few days now sense he had returned from Onderon, after the duel, as if that wasn't hard enough on the Jedi, Dan Firestar had also fought along side her in the battle of Thila before that duel... A battle the Jedi and republic lost.
All these things weighed on Dan's mind heavily, and he had little time to deal with either. For a short time, Dan and Cassandra could talk to each other about Thila's loss and benefit from each other, but now, Dan knew few people who had been in the same battle that he knew well enough to speak with.
Dan sighed not realizing where he had walked to by this time, he looked around a bit and found himself in the calming gardens of the Temple, just where he needed to be actually, he sat on one of the benches and let his eyes drop into meditation.

Jamie sat cross legged against the vibrantly colored Ch’hala tree in the center of the gardens. The vibrant and ever changing colors of its bark always provided him with a sense of calm that seemed to wash away all of the youngling’s worries, and lately there were many. Fears of being left behind when all his other friends had moved on flooded his mind constantly. Jamie knew he shouldn’t dwell on them, fear was an unwelcome emotion to a jedi, but then again, he wasn’t a Jedi yet.
Jamie glanced down at the small datapad sitting in his lap, with a simple tap on the screen, it flickered to life. He opened up a random book, not knowing, or really caring for that matter what it was, he simply needed to take his mind off of everything. As everything began to wash away in the solace of the gardens, Jamie’s concentration was thrown off by the silent, yet deafening sound of grass crumpling under boots. Jamie glanced up, a tall, golden haired Jedi shuffled absent-mindedly through the foliage and slumped down on a bench not far from the Ch’hala tree.
Jamie tried to pay the newcomer no mind, but something seemed off. As he looked at the man, he could feel the stress, and the tell-tale unease of a battle-hardened Jedi. Jamie knew nothing of war, but he knew emotion. The past few years in the temple had exposed him to the same thing from countless Jedi, all of whom had fought, bled, and above all lost so much, and at the same time, seemed so lost. As Jamie stared at the obviously harrowed Jedi, he decided to do something he normally would never do. Sliding his datapad into his tunic, Jamie hesitated momentarily, and with a sigh, stood up and walked over to the Jedi.
As he approached the bench, he stood momentarily in front of the Jedi, who seemed to be oblivious to his presence. Jamie pursed his lips, pondering whether he should go through with it, and as he made his mind, he quietly sat down next to the Jedi. Jamie glanced to his side, the golden haired Jedi was deep in meditation. Jamie brushed his black hair from his eyes and behind his left ear,, something of a habit he had when approaching uncomfortable situations.
“Master Jedi?” Jamie let out, as little more than a nervous whisper. Fearing he hadn’t been heard he raised his voice, and with more determination he repeated himself. “Master Jedi? Are.... are you alright?”

Dan felt many other presence in the Garden while his mind was open during meditation. But one in particular seemed to also have a worried tone to him, and also seemed to have an interested curious aura surrounding him and centered on Dan.
Dan's eyes where still shut, and little did he worry about the other's presence yet, until the you boy made himself known verbally, and shown an interest in Dan. He sighed, not out of annoyance, but more just to bring himself out of his Meditation. Then once his eyes where open Dan quickly let a smile warm his face, momentarily he could forget about the hardships of what was going on in his own life, perhaps the Padawan had something to say, and even if it wasn't important, it was likely better then Dan's "sulking".
The smile stayed there as he turned to the young dark haired boy. "Hello there!" Dan reached over to shake the boys hand. "I'm not a master, just a knight." Dan thought over the boys question and was taken a back a bit, for one so young to have determined that Dan had something on his mind was somewhat impressive, then again it was possible that this boy had a greater majority in his telepathic training, or perhaps it was just plastered to Dan's face like a neon sign, none the less Dan didn't ignore the boys question.
"Yes, a bit of personal trouble..." Dan said not exactly sure how deep and answer the younger boy wanted, but he did notice the boys nervousness. Perhaps Dan should remove that fear the boy had.
"My name is Dan Firestar, don't worry, i am a kind Jedi, not stern like some." Dan wasn't quite sure if that was the cause of the boys nervousness, but it was indeed a start.
