It had been a little while since Tov had a mission off world. It wasn't too bad going into the city and dealing with minor disputes. Though he didn't feel that it was utilizing him to the best of his abilities. He was a Guardian after all but on the other hand he was doing what the job name described, Tov was guarding the city.
It was just before sunset and he was returning to the Temple through on of the multitude of entrances. Bowing his head slightly to the guards as he removed his hood passing through the threshold of the massive complex. After walking several hundred feet the Twi'lek came to a large room with numerous corridors branching off in various directions. There were couple dozen Jedi of all ages and ranks. Also many different species from all over the galaxy. From his left he saw a teacher herding a group of youngling to their dormitories for the night.
Smiling slightly at the sight of the youngling as the scurried after the Miralukan teacher. Master Anas moved his lukku off his shoulders and adjusted his cloak as he set off toward the opposite corridor that led to a staircase. The pace the Jedi Master took made his black cloak billow slightly from the wind. The older wiser Jedi had criticized him for wearing dark robes but Tov had his reasons. Reaching the stairs he started his ascent they spiraled for a few flights and finally came to a landing the emptied in another hallway. This one was less crowded then the forayer he had just came from. Only one or two Jedi around the same age as Tov occupied this one. Quickly traveling down then narrow passage he exited a door that emptied onto a balcony that over looked the city and the setting Coruscant sun. The Twi'lek Jedi approached the railing crossed his arms over his chest and relaxed while he watched the sun set.

The young Togruta male had been training for hours upon hours, without break for the lest several days. Currently Gharassk had been trying to get used to the art of his two lightsabers, the second of which had recently finished after returning from he and his master's trip to Alderaan.
Gharassk had been working tirelessly to try and learn at least the basics of two saber combat, but with little avail. When he started he would have cut his own head off had they not been training blades at the time, now he was at the point where he was able to swing them and hold them in no specific patterns, but was unable to even defend himself from a single droid, saber or blaster without throwing one of his sabers off to the side.
Finally he relented and tossed both of the training sabers to the side, he hadn't expected to master them in one day, now he hadn't expected to really master them, all he wanted was to at least be able to swing them without getting himself killed at the moment, but for now he knew a lost cause when he saw it. For now, he would give up and come back after furthering his studies.
Gharassk had eaten very little in the last few days, so once he had his cloak back and his real sabers back on his belt he would walk out to grab something, before retiring to the gardens for a while, perhaps he would visit his little nook which he so loved to go and meditate in, sometimes he found it a better sleeping place then his own bed.
When Gharassk made it to the garden, that's exactly what he did, made a turn down on of the paths which he had memorized so well, then turned just before one of the larger trees, which marked the overgrown and difficult to see path, which Gharassk had discovered in his many months without a master, in that time he had spent many a day in the garden, and found several interesting nooks like this, and even a small hole in the bottom of the tree, where he had at one time buried some food rations for the fun of it. The where of course gone taken by a few animals the next day, but Gharassk still liked to put some in there sometimes.
For the moment he sat on the old, un-maintained bench in the back corner of the overgrowth. The night was a little cold being as Coruscant was almost into it's winter months, but Gharassk didn't mind, for the moment he couldn't be seen, but he felt many a presence that he had recognized at one time or another, one in particular was his master Tov, Gharassk guessed sense it was the strongest connection he had to a person right now. Gharassk didn't decide to approach his master, who he wasn't even sure where was. His senses still weren't perfect so Gharassk wasn't quite sure if he was right.
Instead Gharassk pulled on of his legs up to the bench and let the other one hang off the edge, the many trees around him gave Gharassk a calm sense, and as Gharassk powered on the holo book about the Jar-Kai form, Gharassk made a bit of a sigh as he forced himself to continue learning about a form the had thought he had studied in book form enough now. Apparently not.

For a few more minutes the Twi'lek stood taking in the sunset. He marveled as the colors and the beauty of the site. Underneath him he could feel people moving around through the garden. It was of the least popular ones being tucked so far away.
Just as Tov was about to leave he felt a presence. It drew him back around and made him scan the grounds. It was one he thought, Gharassk, his Padawan. They hadn't talked much since the mission on Alderaan. Though Tov was busy with other missions that did not require his charge to go with him.
Turning on his heels he made his way back the way he came. This time instead of going down the spiral staircase he went through a different door and out into the garden. Striding over to where the young Togruta was sittings with his holobook.
"You will never master your lightsaber from a book, my young Padawan."
The purple Twi'lek said as he approached the bench and sat down. Folding his cloak over his legs and looking at Gharassk. That was one thing Anas was trying to get Ran to learn. Dueling isn't something you can learn from holovids and ancient texts.

Gharassk glanced up, slightly happy to see his master and confirm that he was right about Tov being in the gardens. Then Gharassk strained his memory a bit trying to remember if Tov had ever been to Gharassk's little nook before, perhaps Tov had found it without Gharassk at one point, but Gharassk was still surprised a bit Tov knew of the place, though he probably shouldn't have been.
"Yes, i know..." Gharassk said in answer to Tov's comment about the studies, but then rolled up the sleeve of his arm pointing to a training saber burn on his arm, and another on his montrall, both would heal as all training saber burns did, but neither where pleasant. "We learn by doing, well I've been doing for the past three days, i still can't hold the second saber right, so i thought i'd take another look, see if i missed something..."
Gharassk sighed hoping he didn't sound to impatient or frustrated, though he had to admit he was slightly at least. He shut the book back off and closed it, rubbing his eyes slightly before looking around the quiet corner of the over grown garden, then over to Tov.
"I will learn eventually master..." Gharassk said determined a bit, though at the moment his eyes where probably blood shot red, he still didn't feel very tired, perhaps it was the fact he was being used on missions that where actually testing him lately, unlike some of the older ones he had been on, perhaps he couldn't catch sleep because of the events of Alderaan, or the encounter with the dark lord, or even his own encounter with his former master. So much had been crammed into those last 6 months, so much, that Gharassk wasn't sure why sleep was alluding him, then again it was perhaps just the fact he was focusing so much on Jar Kai that he couldn't sleep, what ever it was, he still couldn't sleep, something Tov would have something to say about Gharassk guessed. Gharassk would listen as he always did...

The master let out a slight chuckle, somthing he didn't do very often. Though he sympathized with the young Togruta. He too had a difficult time mastering Jar Kai, but still to this day he was not the best at it in the Order. Still with a smile on his face he looked down at the arm and horn of Gharassk. Seeing the burn marks reminded him of his problems learning new arts with his sabers.
"Yes you will, it will take more than a couple days to master it. I to this day still have flaws in my technique. We are not perfect in everything we do, young one"
Tov had learned that all too well the day he lost his Master. He thought Master Jetter was the greatest Jedi to ever live. Though when he feel to that Dark Jedi, all Tov had thought was just a lie. How could someone so powerful fall in battle like that, with one swipe of a blade. As he thought this his eyes fixated on his left hand.

Gharassk sighed a bit, knowing Tov was right, though Gharassk hadn't though of even considering there was such a thing as a perfect Jedi; or a perfect anything for that matter. Gharassk noticed Tov look to his hand, and knew what he must have been thinking, flaws yes, but most times even first comers to Jar Kai could at least hold the blasted sabers right.
"I wasn't hoping to be an expert, but i would like to at least know i can hold them..." Gharassk said wondering if he would ever be able to use Jar Kai, he did know not everyone could, but he thought he at least had potential, that was until the moment he tried. Still he would keep trying with his stubbornness.
Gharassk thought to ask his own question now, to try and see how far behind the learning curve he was. "How long did it take you to be able to start with Jar Kai master?" Gharassk asked before turning a bit to look at Tov.

Tov sat there thinking for a minute about the question he was given. It took him nearly three months to be able to get well enough to not burn himself. Then it took another fifteen years to get him to where he is now.
"It took me nearly three months to just be able to swing both blades without burning myself every time. It has taken me another fifteen years to get to the level I am now. But I am now where near some of the other practitioners of the form. Though there are very few of us."
It was true very few Jedi train in the form of Jar Kai. A lot of them think it's slow and cumbersome, others think it leaves the person open to attacks. Tova'nas had ran into problems in the past with the form but he found the positive aspects to outweigh the bad.
"Keep at it Gharassk, soon you will as good as I one day."

Gharassk nodded a bit before speaking.
"Well...then i suppose i'm not that far behind...i guess it's just a bit frustrating is all..." Gharassk said with a sigh as he dropped the book on the bench beside him and looked back into the thick over growth.
Gharassk called a rock up from the ground and began making it float around his hand and in between his fingers rather effortlessly, know that he had finally relented to giving up for the moment, he didn't know exactly what to do to fight boredom, and he still wasn't tired for some reason, despite working tirelessly for the last three days.
Gharassk sighed a bit dropping the pebble to the ground, not sure what to say next, but with a sigh finally thought it best to acknowledge his master's last words.
"I know, it always takes effort, but it just seems off to me i guess..." Gharassk shook his head before rubbing his face with his left hand a bit. Before standing again to walk around the short little area that was still effectively hidden from the other trails, Gharassk sometimes wondered why this place was back here, but then would often come to realize that it was likely just a forgotten section of the gardens that became over grown, Gharassk wasn't even sure how many people know about it, he knew that he couldn't be the only one, it wasn't THAT hard to find as long as someone wasn't just taking the gardens for granted.
Gharassk walked for a few feet in each direction before turning back to the bench and sitting back down beside his master.
"How'd the mission go by the way?"

Nodding in agreement with his Padawan. The skill of wielding a lightsaber was not an easy feat. It took years upon years to master and still there was always room for improvement. Tov started to reflect on his own training with Master Jetter. Tova'nas had felt the same way when he had first started his apprenticeship with his master.
The Twi'leks mind was swept back into reality when Gharassk asked about the mission. It was a plain mission to the Senate, Tov didn't care for politics so he didn't care for those types of mission. Though he was loyal to the Order therefore he followed any order he was given to by the Council.
"It was your typical political mission. Sit in on the session then report back to the Council with what they say. Though with the Council already dismissed for the day, the report will have to wait till morning."
The Twi'lek master wasn't sure when they were going to be given another mission off world. It wasn't bothering Tov any, he liked being at the Temple. It was nice and quiet, also he could get in more training then her could during a mission.

((OOC---sorry i got to this kinda late, also changing color to red, didn't notice how hard the teal was to read.))
Gharassk sighed a bit, making himself mock yawn when Tov finished. Gharassk smiled before rubbing the back of his neck. "Sounds....Just as boring as always then." Gharassk said, not intending to show a disrespect for the Senate which he did have, but simply making another joke.
"So, has the Council actually given us an assignment yet? " Gharassk sighed a bit, "I feel like sense my slip up on Alderaan with the whole lightsaber thing, they haven't wanted to use me..." Gharassk said letting his eyes drift a bit, knowing it probably wasn't true so much as it was just a slow point mission wise again for him.
