Greetings fellow SWUvians. I have packed all my stuff in here and am now getting to the last thing to do. Saying goodbye. I should have done this a few months ago but real life had its iron claw tugged around me so I have been busy.

I am leaving because I discovered a little while back that the staff had been holding off some info I needed on a friend who disappeared and I got really worried about. I have finally found him a few months ago and he is well and healthy. He had been banned from this forum by some of the staff because they didn't like the way he wrote (which in everyone else's opinion was rather innocent) and how he played his character. That is just ridiculous. I have been told a lot of other things too but will spare you guys for that. And since Jenno was the only one who actually gave a poodoo to give me a way to contact my friend, I take it he maybe doesn't know what is going on among the staff. And if he did I am sorry to say it but I don't care anymore. I have moved on. But the reason I am back to say this intead of just not replying again here was because I care about some of the lovely members here, whom I am sorry to leave with an unfinished now empty thread. (yes I removed my posts) I will still be on Skype and in the SWUvian chat. Whenever someone is actually online there.

But the other reason is also that no one is going to lie to me and think they can keep me for a fool. And I know how the reaction to this will be like.... <.< So please spare me all the fury and non pleasant replies. I honestly don't give a flying f u c k. I have seen some people's comments for when lmr left and I gotta say damn you selfish egocentric idiots. Look in the mirror before you come up with crap like that. *rolls eyes* Be adults and show that you can handle things professionally instead of judging others in such a way. I know we all aren't perfect. I know I am not perfect but come on. Show some responsibility for your actions, I am.

Most of the staff and their behavior to those that kiss their arses are treated way better compared to those who wants to rp Star Wars and have some fun, just trying to get by. They are sometimes or more likely often being ignored so that those who are bending down and doing whatever the staff asks of them gets treated better for some reason. I am not trying to cause a conflict or war here I am merely using my liberty to speak my mind. Because right now I think the way I have seen things since I joined, that this site is corrupted. And no I don't mean by the Dark Side, but of people who think that they can do whatever the hell they want without someone shouting and saying one simple word.... No.

But without further a do, I will stop and wish you all good luck here - you'll need it if you are the wrong person - and good luck to you in the future of your life...

Seriously, if you're going to post that kind of accusation, you really ought to do a bit of fact-checking first.

I'm pretty sure I know who the "friend who was banned" you're referring to is (let's call him Dave for the purpose of this post in order to preserve his anonymity), and first things first, Dave was never banned.

Let's start at the beginning. Dave had a thread with lmr (since you named him in your post, I don't really feel like coming up with another fake name) early this year (January-ish). The thread contained some writing that offended some members of the site, and Meira had a talk with both of them about keeping things PG-13.

That was it. We don't ban people for going above PG-13 on the site. We warn them and tell them to tone it down, but we don't ban them. Go ahead, ask Jenno to check the ban log, because Dave isn't on there. He was never on there.

Dave left the site for a while in February to go on a hunting trip, and that was the last most of staff heard from him. Most of us kinda forgot about him during this time, because seriously, the staff here doesn't actively keep track of every member's comings and goings. Most of us assumed that he decided not to come back, as we frequently have members disappear because school or work manages to sneak up on them. Some of us thought maybe he found some other RP site that he liked better. That kind of thing happens sometimes. There are sites out there that allow from non-PG13 writing, and maybe he wanted that. I don't know.

But then a month or so ago, lmr started running around telling people that the reason Dave never returned was because someone had changed Dave's login or password so that he couldn't log in. There's a dozen reasons out there why that story full of holes, such as the fact that lmr never raised a stink over the issue back in February when it supposedly happened, when he was willing to cry foul over every little thing in the world. But the biggest reason why that story is a load of bull is:

Proboards Admins can't change member logins, passwords, or email addresses. Go ask the admins of other sites if they're able to do this kind of thing. Go to proboards support boards and ask. That's not a power that the admins have.

So if you want to leave the site to RP elsewhere, go ahead. You're free to come and go as you please. But don't go around spewing this lmr bullcrap about a corrupt staff secretly making members disappear in the night. If you have a real issue or concern, tell it. If anything I've posted contradicts what you believe are the facts, then let's talk about it. But quit it with the conspiracy theories passed on to you by a disgruntled former member who has a history of alienating himself from Star Wars RP sites (yes, SWU was neither the first nor the last, just the one who let him stay around the longest).

Says the person who deleted their account so they don't have to face any responsive accountability for what they just said. You're free to tell people to be adults, but when you fail to accept any consequence on your end, thereby instead just choose run away from an issue without knowing the reality. Then I'm afraid you lost that right, because it's you who needs to learn how to be an adult. It's always ironic when a hypocrite tells people to look in the mirror.

Also, the responsibility of helping you find a "friend" is not the staffs. That's yours, once again, that's on you. You want to take about responsibility, hypocrite? Then take some for yourself. But if you want to avoid that by mirroring lmr, then you'll find yourself alienated and possibly even banned from several sites just he has been. If all of that makes you want to cry a bit more. Well then, be an adult and deal with it, but keep your little self-involved faux-outrage drama off of the damn boards. Do us all at least that courtesy, please.

Anyway, in my professional, real-world business, anonymous sources aren't worth a thing. Nor is reporting he-said, she-said matters, which is basically exactly what this is. Nor is running with something without checking to be sure it's true, but by god why pass up all the sensation when you can just print stuff?

Anyway, Dave hasn't been touched. I also like cursing at the heavens when I lock myself out of the car, but that doesn't mean I've been conspired against.*

Anyway, I know this is fishing for reactions, so that's about all I got for you.

I am very sorry you are going. I had known you were for a little while of course but I just want to say again officially that I will miss you very much, because you are a damn good writer.

I know this is not a popular view in this thread, but I still felt the need to say it. As for the issue with your friend, I hope very much it was just a misunderstanding. However, I do my best to keep out of the arguments and rivalries and stuff if I can, as that kind of thing leaves me stressed. I am just here to write stories.

I know it is unlikely but I hope one day you come back. It was fun.

I do believe that there is a misunderstanding, and to alleviate that misunderstanding I have laid out what I believe to be are the facts. However, judging by the fact that she deleted her account, it does not appear that MissGrane is willing to try and clear the situation, as she seems to have already made up her mind.
