Hello folks! With recent updates to the site, we've decided to get in and update the Blades of the Order thread. Below, you will find information about the Blades movement and what it entails. Everyone with a currently active Jedi should have received/will soon receive, a PM regarding their status as either with the Blades or not. Please make sure to post here to ensure that your character is included in the roster. For simplicity sake, I'm going with something of a clean slate here so that we can ensure all those on the list are currently active. So, if you don't post here as the PM requests, you won't be on the list. Also, if you did not receive a PM about this thread, but should have, please let myself or Jenno know.

When the Republic declared war against the Sith Empire, the Jedi Council was put under pressure to support the Republic in its military efforts. After a special session of the Council was convened, the majority decision was for the Jedi Order to remain outside the military sphere of influence in the war and continue efforts toward peace. Council Member Vreem Took was against this decision and took matters into his own hands. He established the Blades of the Order as a means for himself and like-minded Jedi to assist the Republic in a more direct way, through an integration with its military.
While he went against the Council when making this decision, Master Took retains his seat as a Council Member and those who follow him are not cast out from the Order. However, there has developed a distinct rift within the Jedi between those who have chosen to heed the wishes of the Council and those who have followed Master Took's call to arms.
Please be aware that those who have joined the Blades of the Order are a MINORITY of the Jedi. The general consensus at the moment within the order is that the Blades have gone against the Council, and so there is a bit of a stigma that goes along with it. The vast majority of Jedi will remain with the Council's decision. So, if you have not already joined the Blades, be careful when considering the possibility as it is not something to be done lightly. The rest of the Order will eventually being joining the Republic in a more militaristic fashion, so consider your character's personality and traits and weigh your options carefully.
