I'm Elssar Ransen of Empire News Network.
The Outer Rim, which many of us call home, is filled with wild and dangerous planets. The world of Felucia is one such example. When the Gossam established a colony upon this world centuries ago, they never could have imagined that such a dangerous place could become a home for generations of their kind.
Whilst the plants and creatures upon this world can be a spectacle to see, they are ferociously dangerous. The native Felucians are primal beasts who over the years have killed many of the colonists who were simply trying to make a home for themselves. In recent months, attacks and raids by these wild animals had become so intense that the Gossam requested aid from the Republic, seeking a means to properly defend themselves.
The Republic refused to send aid, but the Outer Rim Planetary Aid initiative could see the dire situation these innocent people were in and extended the hand of the Sith Empire. In order to protect the Gossam, the Empire's military forces set about establishing a number of bases along the colonies' borders, where attacks from the wild Felucians were more frequent and savage. With members of the Sith Order present to supervise the construction of these bases, the Gossam could clearly see that the Sith Empire was serious about helping to protect the members of its colony and threw their support behind the Empire and turned away from the Republic who were ready to let them die.
During the construction of a base just beyond one of the planet's biggest collection of colonists, one of the largest raids in recent months took place. And as if turning the knife already thrust in the back of the Gossam, along with these savage and warmongering Felucians were members of the Jedi Order, seemingly encouraging the raids upon the Gossam.
In order to protect the colonists, the Sith forces held their ground and pushed back the beasts, allowing the defences to be constructed and securing an alliance between the Gossam of Felucia and the Sith Empire.
