This is just a quick heads-up while my laptop is still able to allow me to make such information available. >.>
Lately my lil' ASUS here has been struggling an unusual amount (that includes periodic whiteouts and system corruptions; fun stuff, I tell ya'). With that said, I'm hauling it down to the shop tomorrow to see if I can't get someone professional to look at it and make it cut it out x3
With that said, my activity will be sporadic to say the least. I'll likely be on far less often as my dad uses his Mac too often for me to maintain any sort of regular presence. Also, there's no chance of me getting on Skype unless my phone will start cooperating with the app again.
Bracing for worst case scenarios, anyone want a broken laptop to smash repetitively for stress release? 100 bucks xD

So I got a call from the place, they said my laptop was ready, went down to pick it up, and lo and behold,
THEY FIXET NOTZING.
So now I'm having them replace my screen for free. x3 That's tacks on another week of Frolessness.

So there's good news and bad news.
The Bad News: technically los cabrones didn't actually fix my computer. They removed the virus that screwed it over and claimed to have fix the coding said virus screwed up, but in fact the latter job was done to no avail, or perhaps the damage has simply spread to deep-six my screen. Either way, I might be bringing this hunk of silicon and gold down to (another) shop before the year's out.

God, this thread got long ;-; Please let this be the last update...
Anywhoozel, my computer has returned for round 4 in the shop (a new shop that sucks a whole lot less and hopefully fixes a whole lot more). What it's broken down to is replacing the screen (which makes me question if it ever had a virus to begin with and I got robbed the last three times -.-). Unfortunately, the price you pay for using an ASUS machine is having to wait for the screen to be ordered specially and delivered, which takes 5-7 days, which is leading me to conclude that the hardware is, in fact, being shipped from the ASUS warehouse on the moon; that leaves a couple of days for detox and actually shipping.
WITH ANY LUCK, I'll be back in business by about Sunday. It also doesn't help that I just got GTA V, but everyone finds a way to cope x3 Not to mention I've been learning all about my grandpa's old history with the mob in New York (thankfully a definitively closed and finished history), and on top of all that, there's 4 AP classes and basically running the school's new newscast because no one else knows how to even remotely use electronics.
