Reason For Roleplay: Basically, my Jedi was recently accepted, and I'm looking to get in some time playing him.  No matter how much time I spend on a bio, I sometimes feel the character doesn't FULLY come to life in my head until I break him out and see how he handles.  He's already in one thread with Baba Yaga, which I was much looking forward to and am already enjoying greatly, but there are a lot of good writers here, and I'm eager to work with them.  Now, Jaidan is part of the Blades, of course, but all the current major battles SEEM to be pretty full up.  I'll be trying to confirm that, but regardless, the interest remains.  If anyone is up for a practice duel or something, that would be of particular awesomeness.  Jaidan was written as belonging in that nebulously sized "One of the finest duelists of his time" group, so I'd love to get in some practice with lightsaber fighting.

Other: Faction is pretty much irrelevant, as I'm up for a fair few things.  Brawl with a Mandalorian?  Awesome.  Sitting around bantering with another Jedi?  Awesome.  Criminal with a heart of gold?  Awesome.  Criminal with a heart of some substance of lesser value?  Awesome.  Etc.

Oh, and thank you to Squee for the comment that imspired the thread title.  That was one hell of a compliment.

Lo there Mike. I'd be right up for a thread with you if we can work something out. My Corellian Senator, Samuel Cromwell could do with more interactions if you are interested.

What I am thinking is that Senators and Jedi have often been seen as interacting for varying reasons - peace keepers and politicians speaking about the galaxy at large? Let me know if you have any thoughts.

Wow, thrilled to get responses so quick! In turn, then:

Borzka- Sure, that might be doable. So far, I'm not coming up with anything ROCK solid as far as why these two might cross paths. Jaidan's a little far down the totem pole compared to the sort of figures a Senator seems likely to request a meeting with...I was thinking maybe if Samuel decided to tour the front lines or something, but that doesn't really seem like his style. But anyway, I'm reading through his bio as I type, and am only partway through. I may have a better idea once I'm done, and I'll be in touch.

Vroxen- Wow, she's cute. And aside from that, I'd love to get something going. As soon as I'm done with Sam's bio, she's up next, and I'll let you know what ideas I tentatively come up with. SUPER-tentatively, given the age difference, maybe he logged a few hours as a fencing instructor for her by way of a prior association? In any case, no worries about experience. Everyone starts somewhere, and this IS my first time playing a Jedi.

Rugs- You know, as it happens, I actually am somewhat familiar with the character of whom you speak. I familiarized myself with some of Gosia's characters before threading with her, and Nieraan comes up a few times there. I've looked over his stats, and while Jaidan's not as powerful as he is, the gap shouldn't be too big to allow for a good fight. I'm definitely up for giving that a go!
