The towers of this ancient Jedi citidel seemed rusted and old. Dust and chunks of shattered rock litter the grounds everywhere, though the structure remained intact. The world of Ossus was ravaged by the explosion of a supernova 394 years ago. The energy storm that consumed the planet shattered its surface, vaporized its oceans, and gave the upper atmosphere a permanent greasy appearance. Remarkably, the Great Jedi Library remained, almost entirely intact, due to some fatalistic design of the force. Within this Library an amazing wealth of information has been left untouched for centuries. It has brought to its vaults many a scavenger, Jedi, Sith, and treasure hunters. Their paths cross rarely, though the force has its own will. On this day it brought these two dark forces face to face, here on the steps of the Great Jedi Library. Seeking the same objective, only one could hold the knowledge within the temple, and for the other… there was only death! -Deathmatch Ramseye Novok Vs. Darth Iniquitous Duration: 6 Rounds Dark Jedi Vs. Sith First attack to the Challenger.

Ramseye Novok sat outside the great nexus of knowledge looking on, down the steps of the temple, and beyond that. a comfortable ringing sound seemed to be pumping into his mind... it was terribly akward, yet at the same time pleasing, for Ramseye knew that this meant something grand was about to occur. It seemed that whenever he got excited, perhaps anxious, the ringing returned. So while it was a burden for now, it was a welcoming tone fo what would possibly become a legendary encounter.
He paced back and forth, still anxious, when finally the one whom he'd been waiting for seemlessly showed up. Ramseye moved to the forefront of the stairs, looking down the steps now, tracing the platforms that would form a nice little stepping area every 6 or so steps down. It was indeed a fitting battle ground.
Ramseye patted his side, breathed in acknowledging the fact that his saber was at the ready. He then placed both palms together, and bowed his head in wait. He was stretching out with the force, trying to grasp what sort of power this man that was coming towards him possesed.
What he picked and prodded at did not surprise him, this dark being was no novice to the force. Good thought Ramseye... For he wanted to relish this moment for all eternity. Someone had finally come to either fight and vanquish him, or had come to to Give Ramseye the fight of his life, and then lose. It was a weighted situation indeed.
Feeling the power that eminated from this presence that now seemed to be ascending the long stairs, it was no doubt To Ramseye that he would need to pull out all the stops, and possibly channel the spirit of Exar Kunn... but for now, he would fight the dark being, with his multi-faceted technique of a dual sided saber.
Ramseye descended the stairs slowly.... taking in the darkside that both he and the other were giving off... almost spraying at each other's faces. He walked down the stairs, step by step... watching... meeting the one known to him as Iniquitous's eyes.
as they were almost within 4 meters of each other Ramseye could now see his opponent clearly, and it was probably the same for iniquitous.
"What are you doing here..... This place is mine. You stole everything from me, and you think your entitled to this?" Ramseye grinned and bowed his head. as he rose his head he pulled with the force, wretching the saber from his belt and into his hand. he spread his leggs wide, and let the crimson dual sided saber grow to life. It was shaped like a long archaic tooth, it was ancient, and bleeded dark side energy...
Ramseye vaulted forwards, twirling the saber between his legs, and around his back, running down the railing of the stairs, and hopping off right by Jason, onto a landing that formed every 6 or so steps, to perform a downward slash. He made an arc straight for the man's neck... as if he didnt expect it. With that, Ramseye hoped to end it quickly, though, he knew better then that. Inside his mind, Ramseye was like a little boy again, swinging his sword ever so happily.... This was when he felt most alive, fighting for his life. All the while he was attacking, he had never let his grin vanish...

(I’m going to be writing this as if it was happening when we plan the council thing to happen, so Iniquitous is going to be a little bit different)
His feet landed against the metal ramp in heavy thuds. It had been no more than a few moments since he had opened the loading ramp only to be assaulted by a swarm of warmth, it clambered through opening in the metallic fortress and was quickly slaughtering the cool air inside. Soon only the memory of that comfortable atmosphere remained and he was left to feel overwhelmed by the heat of the sun. In those few brief seconds, the heat had seemingly sapped the strength from his muscles, hence the loud thuds as he made his way wearily onto the planet.
That was, if this desolate rock could be called a planet. Was there any life on this world? Looking around at his dry, dusty and charred surroundings, he severely doubted it. But that led his mind onto a new thought, the air. He’d taken it for granted since his arrival, yet if there was no life, where was all this air coming from? He had not seen a single plant during his exploration sessions; did that mean he was selfishly gulping down limited air? True, there was a world-load of it, but the thought was still a little nerve-racking.
Iniquitous took hold of his hood and raised it over his head, shielding his eyes from the Sun which loomed over him. A bead of sweat rolled down his forehead until it squeezed its way into his eye, the salty water mixed with the liquid on the surface of his eye. For most this would have felt like thousands of tiny daggers were each piercing his eyeball from every direction. However, the nerves in his eyes had been burned away with his vision, and he failed to even notice the simple event.
His trek through the valley took a long time, as it always did. It was then he noticed that even the rocks seemed dangerous on this world. Towering up tens of feet either side of him, the jagged edges looked like carnivorous teeth, which were ready to grind his bones, blood and guts into little more than dust and a sickly red paste. Both of which would soon vanish on this arid world, as if they, and he, had never existed.
But there was something different about this walk, something brought him great discomfort, yet he knew it was not the physical discomfort from the sun, this felt deeper. It was only then that he sensed it. In his ignorance he had not been as cautious as he usually was; he had not searched with the force, to sense for anything that may be slightly off. And now in his failure to protect himself, he was presented with this situation. It had taken a while for him to notice the natural calling of the force for he was almost at the Library, the source of the ominous dark aura.
Continuing at his regular pace through the carnivorous valley, Iniquitous fell back into the deep recesses of the Force. He floated effortlessly, completely surrounded by the ocean which was the Force; it flowed around his body, stroking his arm, lightly tickling the back of his neck. It was in this state that he became more aware of everything connected to the Force; it meant he could feel this presence more clearly. He could sense the emotion, the anger and anxiety which flowed from the dark being’s body like sweat from his pours. It was quite obvious that this was a sentient being. Iniquitous had been hoping that it was some dark artefact, one which his advisors may have left for him, some great teachings he could quickly attempt to bend to his control. But no, the Force made things quite clear for him; this was a person, and a powerful one at that.
As he marched solemnly towards the great library, he couldn’t help but wonder why he was being tested now. After all, he had made all of his moves, gathered those who would serve him, manipulated those who he needed. He was upon the threshold of success, it would not be long now until he would be controlling the Sith Empire, and the Jedi would be unaware of both the united Dark Jedi front and the return of the Sith. Was that not worthy enough of a test? Why had the Force led him to this battle? He could find no answers; he doubted there would be many more times the Force would still remain beyond his understanding. How he hated that feeling of weakness, knowledge was power and yet there would always be knowledge he would never be able to claim, no matter how much power he gained.
Finally the rock was gone from his flanks and he was confronted with the sprawling desolate scene before him, the archaic and fractured building was as mesmerizing as it always was, standing so tall and proud as if defiant towards the power which scorched and destroyed this world. Yet seeing it this time did not please the Sith Lord.
After only a few more minutes of walking, he was at the foot of the stairway. He paused for a moment, he could feel the eyes of the man upon him, cold, harsh and analytical, they ground out what information they could about his body, the height, the weight, the lack of definition in his muscles. Yet there was a limit to the information this man could gain from his eyes alone. It didn’t take long until Iniquitous could sense the Force prodding and probing him, trying to discern anything which might give him an edge. The Sith Lord could help but wonder if this man would recognize he was blind, few Force users actually could, there was an oddity to his Force presence and most shrugged it off, but in a situation like this Iniquitous doubted this obstacle would idly throw away any kind of information he could.
From this distance, Iniquitous could easily tell that there was going to be no way to avoid a battle. The pure hatred which rolled out from this human shaped container meant he would be impossible to dissuade. Lowering his hood, Iniquitous’ unkempt hair seemed to limp in the presence of the sun. Then, with a deep breath of humid, dust filled air, he took his first step towards the mysterious man.
His feet seemed to flutter up that stairway. Even with the sun pulsating down upon him he felt the effects of fatigue no longer affecting him. His anxiety was all that replaced them now. For all of the power he had amassed so far, Iniquitous had not yet had a serious life or death situation, like the one he knew he was about to have. At least, not since he had acquired his new powers. All too quickly, the man stood before him. It was then Iniquitous recognized this man. They had never met in person before, but through the holocron of Darth Everos, his master, Iniquitous had heard the tail of his demise and he knew the faces of those who stood at Everos’ side. This was one of those men, Ramseye Novok. It was a name he remembered all too well, the Sith Lord recalled Everos’ praise when it came to the Dark Jedi’s abilities, even without the direct teachings of a Sith he had amassed a unique and lethal power, although what it was Iniquitous did not know. This would be a harder fight than he originally thought.
Both Dark Jedi and Sith came to a halt upon the barren steps. At this close distance, Iniquitous became even more aware of the darkness which seeped from this man. It felt hot, as if the tendrils of his dark aura were attacking his flesh, trying to peel his flesh from his bones. Even though the aura was unable to manifest and succeed in this action, Iniquitous’ hairs begun to stand upon, he thought he could even feel his skin being to prickle.
And then he spoke, throwing his words and accusations around with such a calm and powerful voice that Iniquitous couldn’t help but get nervous for a few moments. If he was able to keep his cool in a confrontation like this then it was quite apparent he had a great deal of experience in such death matches. However, as Dark Overlord of the Sith, Iniquitous could not afford to appear weak even for a moment, he could not let his voice quaver, he could not be intimidated, not by death and not by this man. He replied with a voice equally as calm, although it took a lot of effort to do so. “I took nothing, Lord Everos chose me to reign over this galaxy. You were never anything more than a lapdog to the Sith, you will never outgrow your leash, whelp.” It was only a few brief seconds after they had spoken to one another when Ramseye launched his attack. Iniquitous could feel the Dark Jedi crush and cripple the force to his whim, it gave him speed as he sprinted, power as he jumped, and strength as he swung with his saber.
With the approaching blade threatening to cut him in half, Iniquitous had little time to act. He reached out with the force, performing what he would call a simple task. In his mind he could feel as this extra limb reached down and pulled the lightsaber hilt away from his belt. The was a quiet, unheard clicking noise as the weapon was unbuckled. In span out from under his robes until it twirled gracefully up into his open palm. His movements were those of reaction, his muscles twitched into action. His right arm shot up and his finger pressed down on his ligthsaber’s activation switch. Out from the personalised cylinder shot a sorrow-felt silver beam. He felt the twinge in his heart which always happened when he activated his saber; it was his source of motivation, of memory, the only thing he had left and with it he would carve out the way to his future, the future of the galaxy.
Seeing the strike bearing down on his neck, he knew that his opponent recognised his Force power. A strike to the neck, or Sai Cha as it was also known, showed respect for one’s opponent. But for a Sith, respect was little more than a useless distraction. As the blades crashed into one another like two titanic capitol ships. Iniquitous could tell in a matter of moments that the combined strength of Ramseye and the momentum from the attack would mean that he would not last that long. And so he parried away from his body and paced quickly towards the library. Twirling his lightsaber above his head, he quickly brought the weapon bearing down at his opponent’s feet, aiming to distract him whilst he made his next move.
He called upon the Force once again, sucking it into his body as if it were a black hole. Then he gathered and compressed it into the shoulder of his left arm before he forced it out powerfully down his arm until it reached his hand where it was presented with a wall of flesh to overcome. As the Force crept through his skin it then blasted out into the air around him much like the blast of a shotgun. Not waiting to see if this attack work, Iniquitous turned towards the library, and kicked off from the ground, sprinting up the steps, quickly calling upon the Force to speed up his movements once again.
It wasn’t long until he was inside the entrance hall of the temple, it would provide him with a much better area for this duel, he was more likely to loose on the stairs than he was in here, where it was level ground. Now he would wait for the Dark Jedi to come to him his grip on his lightsaber hilt tightened in anticipation.

The blade crashed down.... BOOM
the impact was significcant, however it was not worht any consideration, for apparently this opponent was a very perceptive combatant. It seemed he'd analyzed Ramseye's capabilities and come to a realization on the stairs, and done so at a very quick speed. Within seconds of impact, it seemed the man moved, pushing the saber down in another direction through his parry. Ramseye's saber crashed into the marble steps, delving in to them, searing the steps and creating a groove of molten rock seconds later. He jaunted to the side, and retracted his arm, pulling the blade back towards his midsection.
He twirled around to see The sith bounding back towards him, slicing down towards his feet.. it was indeed a surprising tactic. Ramseye twisted his wrist that held the dual sided saber, allowing one of the blades to swing down like a pendulum and meet the crimson light blade head on. It rebounded the blade, and sent his recoild upwards for a few seconds... but that wasn't Iniquitous's goal.
As Ramseye leveled his stance, and regained his composure, ready to strike once more, iniquitous brought his arm up and shot it towards Ramseye, as if taking aim with a canon. The brow on ramseye's head quirked slightly as he wondered what was in store for him.
This question he bore for a mere 3 seconds vanished and imploded in on itself. He watched iniquitou's hand contract as if cocking to fire, and Ramseye instinctively shut his saber down and brought his arms uip to bear. He knelt closer to the ground, compacting his form, and leaned into the maelstrom that suddnely flew into him at such speeds. A wave of compressed force washed over him, assaulting him physically and mentally wearing at him. trying to burn down the ramparts he'd just fortified for this scenario. His eyes shut tightly as sand and other granules flew into his face and around him. The wave crashed past him as he pressed through it, waiting for it to pass, putting all his strength into not flying backwards or down the steps.... and then it died off..and he opened his eyes slowly, only to see the sith speeding up the steps into the facility.
He compacted his knees, then let them launch him forwards like springs being released, flinging him up the steps in pursuit. He landed at the top of the steps rolling forwards into a standing position. His eyes scoured the room, the dark mystical place obscuring part of his vision.... but his blood was pumping through him, pressing him to win, motivating him in his rage and lust for destruction.... his desire to watch the sith cripple to the ground as he retracts the crimson blade from his gut, kneeling next to the body and spewing venom.... grabbing the mantle of power that should have been his. All of this flashed in his mind... and it was clear that, it would drive him to victory, or lead him to death with blind rage.
He stared harder, finally spotting a glimmer of red light in a hallway. He passed through the entrance hallway staring in the direction of the light. He closed slowly, saber staff snug in his right hand. His knuckles cracked, and he watched as the crimson red light bled onto the man as he neared, Silhouetting him and showing the darkness of the man as he truly was. Ramseye closed his eyes for a brief moment, searching the area, creating a primitive version of the floor layout that he coud detect with his mind. A grin slowly grew into existence on Ramseye's face, as his lips curled in excitement.
He strafed to the side, walking in between heavy set pillars, keeping the distance to iniquitous relative and yet circling around him while making sure to keep the man from running from the hallway by moving closer towards the two exit paths. He stopped moving slowly when he was hidden by a pillar. He went down to one kneee behind the pillar and lets his hands splay out onto the ground, fingers spreading out in all directions. He let the anger, hatred boil all around him, creating dark ripples.... a whirpool of darkness so great and deeply saturated by the dark side of the force, it began to sting Ramseyes own flesh. Dark tendrils, like tentacles of some dark creature living in the whirlpool extended down and around him. Ramseye's skin began to burn, but he ignored the pain that came with this newly fueled power... this dark rage that had consumed him, granting him untold strength. He slowly stood up, and opened his previosuly closed and wincing eyes, revealing putrid red pools, enclosing the black voids that stared in the direction of the sith that now resided behind the pillar many feet away.
He roared in anger, yelling allowing his hate to fill the whole room. He was losing control.. but it was no concern, just like the pain... as long as he killed this man, he could suffer from his self inflicted wounds later. His fists tightented, and the one carrying the saber began to burn with pain. He allowed that pain to further motivate him. He lowered his head, twisting his neck in an awkward movment, as if some creature had taken hold of him and then... He moved, fast and hard.
His burning fist slammed into the pillar, setting it free instantly, showering debris everwhere... but sending said pillar crashing with one swift motion towards Iniquitous. It had one purpose, slam him... smash him... KILL HIM. It rumbled and jerked, bouncing on the floor careeing straight for the dark being.
At the same Time the creature that had taken over the once coherent being known as Ramseye rushed forth, following behind the pillar, flipping the switch on the saber, and allowing the blades to flash to life as he Vaulted into the air and brought the blades up over his head preparing to bring them down on the dark jedi should he survive the behemoth like object tumbling for him.
And there he was... moving through the air, flying towards the opponent, not but a few meters behind the tumbling pillar.. Death was upon this man... and it was angry.
