Bio: EARLY LIFE (0-3)
Born to the Zel'Fros Hive on Thyferra, he doesn't remember much about his life at this stage, but the Zel'fros Hive was known to strongly support the Republic, and frequently invited Jedi Diplomats to negotiate for Bacta Contracts and to settle disputes. It is likely at this stage that he started to develop his Force Powers, and adopt the sociability of Vratix. When he was 3, a the Jedi Knight Pan Lilou was sent to negotiate a bacta treaty with the Zel'fros hive, and ran across the young Clerix after attending a banquet inside the Zel'fros hive. The Zel'fros Queen, eager to appease the Republic in any way shape or form, let Pan take Clerix to Coruscant for evaluation and Jedi Training.
Early Apprenticeship (3-12)
After arriving at Coruscant, Clerix began to show his fascination with the greater Galaxy and life itself, and proved to have a relatively strong connection to Telekinesis in the Force. As his training began, Clerix felt different than the others, as he seemed to be able to take in knowledge and remember it better than most other Apprentices, and frequented the Academy library.
Still, he had no trouble making friends and being social with the other Apprentices, and was sometimes called upon to mediate conflicts between his friends. His talent for Telepathy grew, and he soon began to, for his age, perfect on it, but it was overshadowed by his Telekinesis abilities. However, he felt behind his friends when it came for lightsaber combat, and always stayed behind to get extra training from the Instructor, but to no avail.
It was here he met his friend and partial tutor, Miran Yui, who helped him train his lightsaber skills, and was able to help him , improve upon his Shii-Cho. However, Miran was known for dragging Clerix into his antics, and the two made a great pair in doing the craziest of things imaginable, all while keeping it between them. This bond greatly improved upon his skills in negotiating, as they often bickered upon what to do, with Clerix always managing to get Miran to do what he wanted.
Still, his passion for knowledge grew, and he soon became friends with the Librarian of the Jedi Temple around the age of 11. Much to the surprise of his peers, he even delved into Philosophy at this age, and grew to enjoy pondering the mysteries of life, but it did not hold sway over him, and he never tended to dwell on one thought for too long.
Padawanship (12-17)
By the time he was 12, Clerix was well known throughout the Temple as a matured and competent person, and it was no surprise that he was selected for Padawanship. His childhood friend, Miran Yui, didn't make the cut, and Clerix was sad that he had to part ways with his friend, but put it behind him, and focused on the future. His master, was of course, none other than Pan Lilou. Pan, who still vividly remember Clerix from his trip to Thyferra, was eager to see how he had done as an Apprentice. Pan, however, was shocked that Clerix exhibited the knowledge and skills that he had, and soon grew to respect and befriend Clerix.
Pan soon began to improve Clerix's lightsaber skills, but only mildly, and Clerix still lacked the proficiency and grace that most of his peers had, but Pan reassured him it wasn't his fault. Clerix took his words to heart, and no longer felt ashamed of his lack of skills in lightsaber combat, and focused more on Force and Diplomacy skills, gaining a reputation for both. Sticking to his art of perfection, he continued to study these skills, to the point of near obsession with the Force, but his Master always managed to correct him and set him straight.
At the age of 15, a tragedy struck Clerix. A massive Pirate Force had taken nearly taken control of Telos IV, and the Republic and local security forces called for the Jedi's aid. Pan was sent with a small task force to take care of the Pirates, however, he was one of the few casualties. Clerix was crushed by the loss of his Master and Best Friend, and was deeply depressed for about a year, hiding away in his living quarters, taking long walks on the Coruscanti Streets. Finally, at age 17, he realized that his Master wouldn't want him to be depressed about him like this, and he finally snapped out of his stupor.
New Master (17-21)
Shortly after re-gaining and collecting himself, he was assigned a new Master, Triun Nosare. Although Triun was very different than Pan, he still bonded well with Triun, who forced him to begin to perfect his Lightsaber skills to an acceptable amount. Finally able to put his grief for his old Master behind him and move on, Clerix perfected many of his Lightsaber skills, mostly Soresu, allowing him to use his Force Powers to the best of his extent.
Him and Triun could usually be found walking the streets of Coruscant, as Triun wanted Clerix to see how most people of the Galaxy lived, compared to a select few. This revelation greatly increased Clerix's ability to feel for other people, especially in times of need. Although Triun's friends wanted him to join with the Blades and assist the war effort, he declined every offer, as he felt training Clerix was more important and knew what Psychological effects his loss might cause on Clerix's personality. Around this time was when Clerix began to despise the Senate due to the growing corruption, and in his eyes, their inability to do anything significant for the war, letting millions of innocents die so they could protect their most prized assets.
Shortly after his 21st birthday, Clerix was finally deemed ready for the Knight Trials, and Triun finally felt that Clerix was ready, and allowed him to continue with the trials.
Trials (21-22)
When the Trial of Skill came upon him, Clerix was prepared for it, and judged his ability with the Lightsaber in the Trial. Being forced to attack and destroy 8 training droids, he was quickly caught up in the fight, but managed to avoid distraction with his self-discipline and eliminate them swiftly.
For the Trial of Courage, Clerix was tasked to hunt down a deadly drug lord in Coruscant's Underworld alone. Clerix followed the target for days, slowly learning his tactics, until at the right moment, was forced to go all in, now or never. Engaged in a vicious fight with the drug lord's Vibroblade, the battle lasted a grueling 20 minutes, passing through crowds of civilians on Coruscant's streets, forcing Clerix to be cautious yet strong in his attacks. Finally, Clerix was able to overpower his adversary after he made a mistake on his upswing, slicing the drug lord in two.
When it came time for the Trial of Flesh, Clerix was surprised, as Triun said the loss of Pan was trial enough. Although Clerix felt it as a little bit of a 'cheat' compared to his fellow Padawans, he did not object, and proceed to the Trial of the Spirit.
At the Trial of the Spirit, Clerix had his most emotionally testing trial, facing a vision of his dark-self. The fight was long and exhausting, but Clerix persisted on, despite the injury on his abdomen still paining him. Finally, he managed to defeat his dark-self using his own weakness, his lack of effective Lightsaber and Force coordination. Doing his best to use the two together, Clerix swiftly defeated the vision, revealing a huge weakness in himself, Spiritually and Physically.
Finally, during his Knighthood Ceremony, Clerix thanked Triun for everything he had done, making sure to practice on the things he had told him to practice on. Wishing him his best luck, he departed from Triun for the last time, as Triun realized Clerix's training was complete, and set out with the Blades to join in the war against the Sith.
RP Sample: Clerix heard the tell-tale click-clack of his feet against the hard tile of the Temple as he prepared to set out into the Coruscanti night. He took a deep breath, allowing the cool air to fill his lungs with a waft of different scents. The smell of a dozen different species, mixed with the fine cuisine of a hundred worlds and thousands of cultures. It truly was a wonder to behold.
Looking up at the star-filled night, he tried to find Thyferra, but gave up after many attempts. Finding a small cafe, he sat down to the best of his ability, and ordered his favorite drink, Clerix began to take small sips, looking out at the lighted horizon of Coruscant.
"It truly is a wonderful night, it truly is...." Clerix thought to himself calmly.
