Queen Abhayaradha stood silently behind an immaculate white mask, her eyes staring out over the Royal Gardens that portrayed the grace and elegance of the those who built them. Naboo was a culture renowned for some of the Galaxies most talented artisans and musicians, a society based around tradition and tranquility. There was a part of her that felt saddened by the fact that soon it would all be coming to an end, but also over joyed by the progress they had made these last three years. Queen Abhayaradha was nearing the end of her term, and would soon step down to pass on the baton to their next elected Queen. The people had earnestly begged her to stay in office, but as would be expected, she had humbly refused. Detaching herself from her window balcony, Abhayaradha called out to her second shadow lingering in the background. "Teyla." Her voice was soft and melodic, yet held within a tone that demanded action and loyalty. This was their Queen, and any after would pale in comparison.
The woman in question stood off to the side, busily arranging a fresh bouquet of millaflowers in an ornate pot. Abhayaradha had always silently observed her with interest and doting affection. Teyla was one of the strongest women whom she'd ever come to know, someone who followed her head just as much as her heart. Someone who's reputation had only begun to garner a legacy within the confines of Naboo, but soon that legacy would spread throughout the Galaxy as a whole.
The two of them had learned beside each other since a young age, Abhayaradha being groomed from an early on to be Queen. Teyla had journeyed at her Queen's side and pulled Abhayaradha's burdens onto her own shoulders like a freighter which would simply not give up it's last. In no small part was she designed in likeness of Abhayaradha's own nature, but very soon...this woman who she had coddled would be set loose. It was no secret that the two had formed a particularly close bond during the days of their youth. They were more than Queen and Handmaiden, the two of them were family.
Having only been called a moment earlier by her Queen, The Chief Handmaiden, Teyla, her cream robes clinging onto her thin frame and dark long hair braided back behind the veil on her head, stood at the ready, addressing Abhayaradha. "My Lady?" Her inquisitive voice rang true as ever; the woman was perpetually loyal. A sad expression took over for a brief moment. Dark nights were coming, and Teyla would need to rely on her instincts to carve a path to her future, she wouldn't be ready, there was still more learning for her to do, but Abhayaradha had faith that she would find her way. "Are the rooms prepared for our guests from Empress Teta?"
"Serna and Aruha saw that everything is as it should be, our guests will not be disappointed."
"I want you to greet our visitors, the other handmaidens have their responsibilities. I'm delegating the task to you of making the Victus family comfortable during the duration of their stay, serve them as if it were myself." Abhayaradha watched for that questioning expression of Teyla's that instantly sparked curiosity in her eyes. However, no other words were exchanged for those last moments and then Teyla was gone, Abhayaradha had set her free... the beginning mark of her true destiny awaiting.
