Reason for Request: I'm actually somewhat decently experienced as a role player and writer with several years under my belt but, well let's just say it's been a while. I'd rather get my wits back about me before I go tacking up real posts willy nilly et cetera.

Sorry and damn it. I meant Kovac when I mentioned force sensitive. I guess that's why we're here, heh. If you were wanting to do something other than combat I could switch to D'esok (Spec Ops) and you could use a Mando. Your choice.

It was a rather overcast evening as the lights of the small bar shone out into the foggy atmosphere. Kovac sat leaned against the far bench, helmet in hand, which seemed as to a rare phenomenon as any. He briskly knocked back another swig from the mug that sat opposite of him, contemplating his next move. It felt an eternity since his last job, and while he enjoyed the rest, he needed profit. He had read up on several profiles the night before, planning to head out of the city the immediate day. Slipping his helmet back on, he slid from his seat starting for the door when he spotted a familiar face. He casually dragged up a seat next to him, confirming his identity before he spoke.

Enjoyin' your drink?

He adjusted himself to face the man, carefully scanning him from under the dark visor.

Y'know some people's got a decent sum on you. I was hoping we could work that out if it was of any concern.

Not a bad opener. I do sense a bit of rust, but we're here to bust that out! *cracks knuckles*

It was hard not to notice the man clad in Beskar. Lalo's cat-like eyes had snapped to the armor the second he had stepped in. Seemed to be nothing more than another fellow passing through the port. Another glass of wine was brought to him, credits tossed to the waitress in thanks. He grinned at her roguishly and winked once as the glass was brought to his lips and sipped. Lalo would stretch and kick his boots up onto the table, the movement causing the gleaming swords at his hip to clink lightly. For a time he simply sat back, drank his wine, and watched the patrons come and go. It would be another couple days before his crew would leave, and his Anisa would be tied up at the art swap for much longer. So why not relax and enjoy the culture? Though it seemed life on the fringes would come a little closer than he'd prefer.

The Beskar approached, and Lalo's predatory gaze looked right into the visor of the helm. Never wavering, not even as he brought his glass up for another drink.

"Enjoyin' your drink?"

"Very much so, amio. Aluvian Gold, 3677. A very good year. I am pleasantly surprised to find such a wine here."

Lalo would sigh, his gaze finally leaving the other man's to peer into the wine that swirled in his glass. He tilted his head with a grin before turning those yellow orbs back to the armored man.

"I am aware. And I would be more than happy to work with you, amio. I see no reason why we can't be civilized , no?"

Heh heh, yeah I figured I'd leave it open ended for who would fit the scenario. Alright, very good points, I'll keep knock in' 'em back into place then!


Just as the many others, Kovac had studied the man's portrait on paper many times, yet the gleaming yellow eyes struck him oddly in person nonetheless. He instinctively gazed over his figure for any signs of hostility or weapons, wherewith he seemed oddly content in comparison to others he had previously confronted.


"Very much so, amio. Aluvian Gold, 3677. A very good year. I am pleasantly surprised to find such a wine here."

The comment itself he also found to be a strange relief from the monotonous tone of those in their presence.


"I am aware. And I would be more than happy to work with you, amio. I see no reason why we can't be civilized , no?"


His arm glided deftly to his side as he leaned against the counter, now staring full on into the man's face. For once he seemed glad that he was not forced to contend with the immediate fear shock and violence that came with many similar denizens.


"You see, a certain friend of mine has requested a 'rewarded assistance' in your location. Specifically, around 3,000 credits. If you're willing to pick up the tab a bit more I could possibly report that my toil in your search was rather.. inconclusive. "
