Alrighty, Meira posted and has left it open for another round of posting. I'll likely wait 'till Otter posts in case Doc retorts to Lash's last words.

But I'll be able to post this week anyway, with being off college.

Looking forward to the crew coming together, though I have to talk to/hear from Neo about her mechanic character.

Double post but I just needed to say that I'm glad with the rate we all managed to post after Meira. In total, Meira, Mara, Falcon, Otter and myself posted in about 26/27 hours of each other, which isn't usually the case for the Jewel.

I know I'm often to blame for that but if we can pick up the speed, like we've shown we can, then I really think I'll be falling in love with this crew a whole lot more, if that's even possible.

Well, I for one will do my dead level best to make sure I get a Doc post up within 24 hours of his turn everytime. Hopefully that will keep things moving along.

Yes, I asked that Rugs and Dutch post even though it was my turn. I'm sort of skipping that round and instead I'm opting for Lash to remain asleep, snoring quite heavily. This may be to the strong mental image I have of Palas kicking/beating him awake.

I've got it on my to-do list, which I'm slowly slogging through.

So, my aim is to work on a post for Lash tomorrow and then perhaps we might consider getting things moving for the Jewel again.

However, right now there are a few things we still need to address. Both Kellaishleya's character and Neo's character need to get into the current thread some how. I don't know if you want them to be locked up in a cell next to the current group's or are brought in and serve as the trigger for their escape.

Also, we are going to have to find a replacement character for Max's Ruck to play the muscle of the crew. If at all possible, before the crew gets back to Kuras IV for the group orientation session.

I know Neo's currently away and I'll have to point Kella this way but I just wanted to see if people could throw their opinions into the mix, maybe a better idea for introducing these other characters.

I'll probably talk to Meira about finding that final crew member.

But yes, I've been building myself up for a Lash post tomorrow and I only have one more exam waiting for me on Wednesday, which means more time for me to start writing and dedicating time to the Jewel. We've had a steady pace going before, I hope we can get back into that flow soon since I know you all enjoy the rp as much as I do.

So, Meira and I spoke to Silas about getting his character Ronan involved with the crew and after talking it over a bit he accepted the offer.

The likelihood is that for the remaining three characters we will have them be together in an adjacent cell to the current group since that seems to be the easiest way to go about it. Though nothing's solid as of yet if someone would like to suggest another possible way for us to go about things?

This is so weird. I was just thinking about this plot last night (and a possible idea of a further adventure).


As for meeting up with Kella/Neo/Silas's characters... would there be any possibility of it happening after the escape but before leaving the planet? Otherwise the adjacent cell seems like a good plan.

after escape/before leaving is a definite possibility. While talking with Silas yesterday I think we found a good in for him, which involves him being in an adjacent cell... But I actually think that meeting with Neo and Kell's characters after escaping their cells would be a good idea. Did you have an idea in mind, or were you just tossing it out there as a possibility?

Not particularly. I was just thinking it would add some variety/alleviate too many coincidences if we all weren't in cells at the time.


But I can muse a bit (after rechecking what Neo and Kella's characters are all about, since I have forgotten, silly me).

Maybe outside the building we steal a speeder belonging to one of them? Bump into the speeder of the other? I dunno. More (better) ideas later, perhaps.

I believe when Neo updated her mechanic's bio she wrote it so that she was captured by our boss man.

Now, if we wanted we could have the group steal a ship that maybe she's being forced to work on/upgrade at the time, though I'm not sure in regards to Kella's character.

Kella's char would be fine ending up in the adjacent cell only because of the amusement it will bring Kella. :3

Glem is a courier of not-quite-legal patronage, and she's inviting herself along as navigator. I'm figuring things could happen one of two ways -- either she's delivered the package, and the boss man keeps her as insurance, or she's coming/going, and ends up accidentally helping the escapees, which puts her on the 'wanted' list, in which case, she ends up tagging along with the people who got her into the mess.

Open to other ideas though. :3

As such, the banter/Glem's complaining while imprisoned would be entertaining. And, you figure, it's not like the people knew each other, so an IC thing really wouldn't be too coincidental. I mean, if they were all, 'omigosh we make the perfect team!', that'd be pushing it, but I figure it's going to be more of a forced relationship at the beginning anyway.

You figure boss man's not really going to be running a dungeon, so how many cells would he have? Probably not too many, so as long as there's a good reason for each of them to be a prisoner, I'd say it's hardly a stretch to have them in adjacent cells.

I'm up for anything really. :3

And thus concludes my totally biased opinion. ^^
