Backstory
This story doesn't start with Arsden, it starts with his parents. They married at a young age before joining a group of smugglers that traveled around the galaxy. Their names were Draden Sral and Armanda Pris, and they were madly in love.
It had been nearly four years since they left the not so cozy planet of Kiffex. With the Clan Wars raging they knew if they wanted to start a family they needed to find a peaceful place. But they never really did.
It was just another routine day on the smugglers ship. Until the ship was attacked by a Sith Empire battle cruiser. They didn't stand a chance against one with their ship badly damaged they had to land on the near by planet of Sral. As they busted through the planets atmosphere the ship started to break apart from the damage. Moments later the ship crash landed near a small village. When the dust finally settled the only survivors were Arsdens parents and a Nikto. The Nikto didn't last long after the crash, he quickly succumbed to his wounds.
The village leader had his best medics take care of Draden and Armanda. When the medics were healing Armanda they found that she was pregnant. They said she was luck that she didn't suffer damage to her abdomen, she would've lost the baby. Armanda told Draden the good news, he was elated that he was going to be a father.
Over the next several months the couple had started to embrace the Mandalorian culture. The clan leader, a human named Quin, was impressed with Dradens fighting skill and dedication to his wife. One day while they were eating dinner in their hut a group of Quins best soldiers came to get Draden. They said there was a Call of Mandalore and he was to answer it. With him respecting and being very grateful for the Mandalorians he went with them. Upon arriving at the ship, he was presented with a suit of armor by Quin. Quin also recited the adaption ritual known as gai bal manda. At this moment Draden and his family were officially part of the Sral clan.
The Journey Begins
About a month after the first Call of Mand'alor, Armanda gave birth to a baby boy. In the Mandalore culture the first born male was an important event. They were very proud that they had a baby boy, to them it didn't matter boy or girl they were just happy he was here. They decided to name him after one of the men that Draden had fought with during the last conflict, Arsden. Arsden was a happy baby, very talkative, very squirmy. When he started crawling, he would put his dads helmet on when he was old enough.
When Arsden was about two years old, tragedy struck their clan. During one conflict with a rogue band of mercenaries the Chieftain Quin was killed. It was a sad day for the clan. It was especially hard on Draden. The elders got together, including Arsdens father. For days they debated on who would step up as Chieftain, until Draden stood up and claimed the title. Now Arsden was the son of a Chieftain.
When Arsden was five his father started to teach him martial art along with several other kids who had lost their fathers. There was one boy, a Nautolan named Tik. Tik had lost his dad some time ago, not really knowing who he was. Tik never met his mom, she had left shortly after he was born. She didn't care for the Mandalorian life.
The boys were inseparable, they did everything together. From training to playing meshgeroya or bolo-ball in basic. They would try and get with all their friend and have mock battles with toy blasters that an elder of the clan made.
Around the age of eight his parents told him he was going to be a big brother. He was happy for his parents, he knew that it was going to make the family bigger and better. Several months later his baby sister Ariana was born.
Reaching his tenth birthday his father presented him with a vibroblade. It was similar to the one that his father carried. He had been learning with wooden blades, Draden had deemed him capable of wielding the real thing. Also around this time Arsden was realizing he had a rare ability among Kiffar he could read the thoughts of inanimate objects, such as rocks and even suits of armor.
Over the years Kit and Arsden gained recognition in the clan as being some of the best vibroblade users. They had already decided on their fifteenth birthdays they would both enlist in the special forces. Arsden was starting to become quite a shot with a sniper rifle. He could hit a can at about 100 yards and a larger one at a little farther.
His thirteenth birthday was here and it was time for him and the kids his age to be tested. Himself, Kit and a human girl named Krista were taken out to a old outpost and told to make their way back to the camp in three days.
On the first night the three kids made themselves a makeshift tent and tools to kill their food. Kit gathered firewood while Krista and he made a pit to cook the critters they had caught. Over the next few days Arsden and Krista had become very close. It was kind of love at first sight.
The nights were cold and the days were blistering hot. They would bundle up for warmth at night around the little fire that they could get started. The desert was barren with very little vegetation unlike the equator. The third day they had managed to fight off several men that Arsdens father had sent to test them and a couple unexpected twists. Upon reaching the village there was a huge celebration for the three. They drank, ate and danced all through the night. Kit, Arsdan and Krista were the guests of honor.
It was nearing Arsdens birthday, he had gone over to get Kit from his home. Kits birthday was a couple weeks before Arsdens so Kit decided to wait so they could do it together. They walked into the hut where Draden was and told him they were ready to serve Mand'alor.
First Call of Mand'alor
It had been couple week since the duo had join the Special forces team. Arsden and Krista had begun a serious relationship also were planning to get married once Krista turned sixteen. Though something threw a wrench into the plans. There was a Call of Mand'alor and they answered it.
Then Private Sral had been sent to Concord Dawn to help hold the planet. It was a grueling battle nearly his entire squad was wiped out. But he had managed to take out several officers of the opposing forces. The higher ups were impressed and would keep an eye on him.
Arsden spent nearly a year on Concord Dawn. It was a hard time being away from Krista and Kit. They kept in communication from time to time. Krista was sent to Mandalore to aide there. Kit was sent to Dxun to aide in a relief camp for refugees.
It was now coming up on Kristas sixteenth birthday. Early in the morning Arsden had woken up and put on his armor stood in front of the comlink and recited "Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde." A few moments later Krista recited it as well and now they were legally married.
As the now Private First class, walked out of the tent he was greater by his squad who were like family to him. Like all major events in a Mandalorians life it was celebrated. Arsden just wished his wife was with him to share I. the moment. The men played games and celebrated for most of the day. it was nice to finally have a day off that be could spend time with his brothers.
He had been getting word from his parents that Ariana was becoming quits the warrior herself. Arsden just smiled at the messages he was sent from his parents and sister. He had gotten several messages from Kit but one after a while things didn't seem the same that they once were.
It was now two years since Krista and Arsdan had gotten married. This was now the first real time they were got to spend more than a day or two together. They had their own home and Krista had decorated it with her father's armor and her mothers helmet. It was the prior year that her mother had scummed to an illness. Every night he and Krista would recite the dozen or so names of their friends and family that had passed on. The now Corporal Sral was still worried about his friend Kit. He went AWOL and they had been looking for him for nearly a year. It wasn't like Kit to do something like that.
Months went by and Arsden was sent a message from Kit. He had been getting tired of the fighting and the day to day life of a soldier. Kit had found a wife and was expecting their first child. The message ended with an apology for not telling him sooner. After reading it he showed it to Krista and vowed to keep it as secret for as long as they could. He was happy for his friend but on the other hand he did betray the Resol'nare, they way of Mandalorian life. Arsden also felt personally betrayed because they were raised like brothers, family, and Kit threw that away.
Worse years of his Life
It had been about six months since they had received the message from Kit. Arsden had been transferred to a different squad. His commander was a veteran for many conflicts and her armor reflected that. His commanders name was Gretchen a Human. She was from Shogun and didn't take any guff from her soldiers. The men of the squad would imitate her when not looking.
This tour didn't let Arsden have any contact with his family. It was a confidential mission that took them deep into Sith Empire space. One mission they had been ambushed and lost most of the squad and Gretchen was badly wounded. Sral being the second in command he would take leadership role.
They were on a hill over looking a camp of Sith Empire Soldiers when and explosion went off in the camp. The enemy started running toward them, once they reached the hill Arsden open fire with his sniper rifle. He took out several in quick succession but one got a read on where he was.
The enemy run up the hill toward Arsden and took out a vibroblade. Standing Sral did the same, the two clashed blades. The Human Sith soldier was skilled but he was no match for a Mandalorian. Then a second soldier came into the fray. Defending against the two the best he could. He caught the first off guard by extending his spikes on his gauntlets and snapping his blade. Then he took his pistol out and shot the first one. Turning his attention to the second, she wasn't as skilled as the first. This one was a Nikto, he quickly cut her down. After ward he picked up the firsts blade and used his psychometry to see the blade had done.
Closing his eye he concentrated, he started to see a suit of armor that looked familiar. It was fussy at first, then when he focused harder he saw it was his wife she was fighting the same person not too long before. But her fate didn't turn out the same as Arsdens. Getting full of rage he walked over to the human soldier and stepped on his head. Applying pressure to his face he hear a crunch and then he saw the man take his last breath. Arsden had turned a new page in his life, he was now a widower at the age of nineteen.
Upon returning to Sral he had to give the new to Krista's parents. They took it hard, just as hard as Arsden had. Sral told them that he had killed the man that killed Krista and they were relieved somewhat. The only thing Arsden could find of his wives was a gemstone he gave her when he returned from Dxun.
Months later he was promoted once more to Sergeant. He was also given command of his own squad. It was a lot different than just taking orders he was now giving them. Over the next six months he was sent to different planets to help combat different threats. This was somewhat peaceful time among the Mandalorian.
He was home most of the time and he got to his sister train to become a soldier like he and their father. She excelled in hand to hand comment something Arsden didn't grasp. Not saying he was a horrible fighter he was about middle of the pack. Though give him a vibroblade and he is top notch. The only person that could best him was his father.
It was nearly a year now that he had lost his wife to the Sith Empire. He was invited to his parents home for a meal. Arsden knew the look on his mothers face wasn't a pleasant on. He insisted on her telling them before they ate. His mother told Ariana and himself that Draden had become I'll and didn't have long to live. He had already chosen a replacement for Chieftain. His father turned to Arsden and told him he had made some one else the clan leader. Draden knew it wasn't long before he passed. Though Draden still tried with all his strength to still fight and defend his brothers and sisters.
Arsden was getting tired of people he loved dying but he kept telling himself that it was his faith in the Resol'nare that kept their memory with them. The weeks went on his father got weaker and sicker. It wasn't the same tough man that he once was. At this time Arsden had taken over his sisters training. She was getting close to her thirteenth birthday and almost ready to become an adult according to Mandalorian tradition.
Days after Ariana had passed her test their father had passed away. They mourned for a short time then with Mandalorian custom they celebrated the life of Draden. They drank and swapped stories about his life. The celebration went on well into the night.
When the celebration had ended their mother, Armanda took them into their home and gave them each something of their fathers. Ariana received their fathers blaster and his helmet. Now Arsden was given his fathers vibroblade, the one that was given to him by Chieftain Quin.
The family had lost two members close together. First it was Krista, Arsdens wife and now it was his father Draden. This made the Sergeants attitude toward people a little hostile. To his family and clan he was still the caring person they know but to his enemy he was cruel and merciless. Years went by and they lost many more clan members and loved ones.
On with the show
The next few years felt like they flew by. He was hoping from different battles around the area. He every now and then had to even fight off other Mandalorians.
Few years went by, his sister had joined the military as well. He knew it was a matter of time. She was skilled in hand to had combat immensely better than he. But being bigger than her he could over power her with his strength. Mission after mission he went on proving to his clan that he was a great fighter. There had been talks about building a Special Operations HQ on the planet of Dxun. He wasn't going to be part of the team to establish, it was a solid advantage point.
After that numerous events in the Mandalorian society started to happen. The first was a group of soldiers lead by the Mand'alor reclaimed a Basilisk War Droid from a museum on Coruscant. Also around the same time Arsden was in the middle of a conflict on Concord Dawn. He found his perch and started taking out the enemy. Once the dust finally settled the Mandalorians stood tall with the victory.
Shortly after the events on Concord Dawn they turned their sights another planet, Shogun. The battle was brutal, Arsadan lost several clan members that day. Several from the village that he crew up in. It wasn't utill the bodies were searched and everything was said and done it was announced that Mand'alor had fallen in battle. Though it was said 'When one Mand'alor falls another shall rise'. And that day it was true another one did rise, they would lead them to more victories.
With the new leader they liberated one more planet. This time Togoria was the target, and again the MMandalorian forces prevailed. It had been going great with the liberation of the planets. Arsden was getting recognition from the older members of the clan. They were impressed by his determination and skill with both a sniper rifle and with a vibroblade. Once the troops returned from the fighting on Togoria there was talks about a militia forming on the planet. It was just hearsay and rumors. They didn't pay any attention to it.
Several months later forces attach Ordo. Arsden and his clan were the first to respond to the threat. Once Mand'alor arrived with the other forces it was a swift and decisive victory at the hand of the Mandalorians with the help of the militia that turned out to be true. While the last few hours of battle was going. Arsden and the few that were defending a group of small children was trapped. To draw the forces away the Chieftain sacrificed himself to save the children, the future of the Mandalorian culture. With them distracted Arsden and company finally finished them off. Arsden ran to the body of the Chieftain. With his final breaths be named Arsden the new leader of the clan. it was also here they had lost yet another Mand'alor. Though it was said that someone and claimed position and he would find out soon enough.
Life as Chieftain
He was now the Chieftain of the clan. He had now lead the clan to Mandalore to join the troops that were being sent to Gargon. It was the first Call of Mandalore under the new Mand'alor. Though by the time he had arrived on the planet the bulk of the fighting was over. There was mostly just cleaning up the few Republican Army that found themselves in the wrong place, at the other end of his sniper rifle.

It was the middle of the night and Arsden and his buddies were sitting around the campfire. The had just gotten back from a recon mission scouting out a good place to overtake a Republic convoy. They were passing around pictures of their wives and kids. They had gotten to Arsden, they were still in their armor they had just removed their helmets.
The Clan Leader looked over and sighed. He took the photo out of his armor and handed it to the Corporal. The Firrerreo took it and stared at it, he then looked back at Sral.
"You have a lot to look forward to when you get home, Sir."
Looking at the man Arsden gave a smile and spoke in his soft voice.
"No Corporal I don't, she was killed about three years ago by a Sith soldier. I got my revenge, I crashed his head with my boot."
Sral finished speaking and the men stared at him. They didn't know how to react. The men were all raised with Arsden but they hadn't been around each other for some time and really didn't keep in touch. After few more awkward moments they were back to there joking and laughing.
They passed their time that night by drink pints of ne'tra gal and singing Buy'ce gal, buy'ce tal, and Naasad'guur mhi – Mhi n'ulu. After a while Arsden started to relax after the mention of his wife and joined in on the merriment. They had a great time partaking in aay'han, or 'bitter sweet' in Basic. It is the concept of remembering the loved ones they lost.
As the night was winding down the soldiers gathered around and recited loved ones names that they had lost over the years. After saying the names the men went to their respected beds and slept for the night.

Dxun, Mandalorian camp site
