Arighty lil' Neology and lil' Dutch, settle 'round the story chair while Pappa Frobait spits out a few bullet points and suggestions. You're then free to tell Pappa Frobait that's he's a crazy old bat and beat him with the meter sticks.
So the ultimate plot here (which is an ultimate work-in-progress, mind you) is that one Dr. Rase J. Hyul, Jr. has set upon another of his intrepid dives into antiquity in order to locate an artifact for one of multiple reasons, including using it for his own ultimate goals. What makes this particular escapade interesting is that, rather than have a simple gambit among ancient infrastructure, architecture, and defense systems, the artifact in question has immense value to Force-users, Sith and Jedi alike!
Crash Course SWU History: This MacGuffin (thanks Dutch) would be located on pristine Yavin IV, once home to a nasty cat named Sith Lord Naga Sadow. Dude was rank, feel me? And he did some rank-ass shiznit to all these natives who he made build his pad and smoke his ribs, dig?
Anyway, the prize would be Naga Sadow's personal tomes, presumably buried deep within a long-lost temple (he ruled around 5,000 BBY, so we've got some good vines growing on the thing by now). Sadow was big into Sith alchemy, so there would obviously be a lot to learn from his personal notes (though Rase would be there for some of the history also recorded in said notes). //learning
Therefore the good Doctor is presumably joined by another character; to be precise, one with no affiliations to the Jedi. Perhaps one Darth Novus, there to help the scienceman navigate any sort of Forcie-esque obstacles in the temple and take the notes from him once he has the information he needs.
To compete with them, of course, is none other than the goodly High Council Member Levin Caelum, who, with the aid of an as-of-yet-ascertained fellow Jedi, would be on a quest to retrieve such notes for the use/wishes of the Order before Rase and Novus could secure them for the OTHER Order.
So... sound good so far?
