Mission Requirements: Jedi knight level and higher preferred.
Mission Briefing:
The Hutts have kidnapped Flavio Artaga, the son of Jonus Artaga, CEO of BlasTech, while he was partying on Umgul with friends. Their hired bounty hunters have taken him to Tatooine, the most remote Hutt cartel-occupied planet, and he has been secreted away deep in their stronghold. Greegar the Hutt is hoping to ransom him or extort exclusive manufacturing rights for their criminal organization. The bounty hunters remain as extra protection.
Afraid for what this might mean for the future of the Republic's arms manufacturing and receiving pressure from the Senate and the Artagas, the Chancellor has sent a Jedi team to Tatooine to rescue the teenager before any harm comes to him or to his father's company. It is also meant as a show of force to send a message to the Hutts that they are messing with the wrong government.
However, at the same time, another group of individuals is working towards a similar goal of getting Flavio Artaga for themselves: the Exchange. Ladder-climber Fre Zalq has recently been put in charge of a new Exchange cell on Tatooine. And upon reporting to his superiors about the Hutt's activities in the area, he has just been tasked by his sector chief to capture the Hutt's prize for their own. His has put together a small team of Exchange agents supplemented with mercenaries to accomplish this task.

Anyway, let's get to the discussion. While we wait for people to play the NPCs (Flavio and Greegar), and we should have all the PCs. (Unless we need to replace some people).


The basic plot is that the Jedi are going to the Hutt stronghold to rescue Flavio; at the same time, Fre Zalq and his team of Exchange agents/mercs are going to break in to kidnap Flavio for themselves. And the Greegar the Hutt and his lackeys, along with bounty hunter(s), will be guarding their prize.

So any ideas for fleshing this out?

Well Shorza and Balkk actually have met, and Val and I have planned out a storyline to be explored between them. So I imagine them running into each other could be interesting, I will let Val weigh in before going too far. But Balkk will definitely be having words with the Zabrak XD

Yeah in addition, Shorza has also worked with Janus before. And the interaction will not alter the plot much, but it might cause Shorza to leave the Hutt's employment on this job.

And Xierra will be running into her father.

Also, I forgot to mention earlier... that this will be post-Gargon battle. (Originally it was gonna be before, but I decided to alleviate any confusion and just set this after all that business. If it matters, lol.)

But Thad, you and I could maybe discuss the Jedi side of things, if you'd like. Not sure if you'd want to do a prologue type of thread back at the temple or not. Or just get right into things. (To avoid any awkwardness that the temple on Coruscant is sending two Blades members from Seraphim on this mission, lol.)
Since Sish is the higher ranked Jedi, I'll let him lead things.

I am happy to get right into it, no real need for a prologue bit I think - once Xierra and Balkk touch down on Tatooine are they going to be searching for the poor fellow, or are we assuming that the location is known? Any ideas that I have flow on from either one of those scenarios so will wait here what you say

Hmm... Haven't thought about that.

Well, they would have at least some information about where he was taken, since they were sent to Tatooine (or are going to Tatooine). So apparently the Republic knows the Hutts have the kid. But whether the info was from the Republic or elsewhere, I dunno. So my guess is that they would at least have some idea where the Hutt's stronghold is, if not an exact location.

I think it is probably easiest and perfectly feasible to say they would know the location of the Hutt stronghold, but necessarily where they are holding him within it. For some reason a rather Benny Hill-esque scene of the Jedi and the Exchange peeps running in and out of doors onto one hallway is playing in my head XD

But yes having them search through the stronghold could be fun, maybe a trap here or there could separate peeps or even force temporary alliances against some larger and bigger thing (thinking of a beast pit here). Just throwing ideas out there, no guarantee they are any good I am sleep deprived

Alrighty, token post by Ash. Ive been thinking about the infiltration part rather than the actual search, for the moment at least. Im sure the Jedi can pull a Luke, but I know Bit cant do that. Haha. Im sure we'll just be winging it, but some explosions and chaos would be fun and maybe stir the hive, if we decide to do that. :3

Well, though the Exchange cell is relatively new, I'm sure I could give them a few nice toys to bring with them in order to try to get Flavio for themselves. ;p

Since I'll be (somewhat) leading them with my NPC of Fre Zalq. Though I think I'll leave most of the action to Bit and the rest of the hired mercs.

Since Kriegen seems to be taking a hiatus from the site, I could possibly have Shorza team up with the exchange. It just seems to make more sense than a Hutt hiring a child and a droid both of whom are not really mercenaries.

Well, if you're on the Exchange side, you'd have to be more of a mercenary, lol. Because the Exchange will have hired soldiers to help them, since they aren't as established yet and need the help.

The Hutt side is supposed to be the bounty hunter(s) who got Flavio for them, and any other fringers that might be hanging around.


If you feel your guys don't fit in either, you can drop out; it's fine.


But you're right; I should probably take Kriegen off and open up that slot.

Well Shorza has worked for the Hutts before and I'm sure they might need a mechanic to manage the compounds defenses

Hullo. Ohh Simo has nevver worked for the exchange before but I doubt he will care. Credits are credits

Well, Simo will be working with Ash's guy Bit. As well as my NPC Exchange guy + any others I throw in to flesh it out. So you two can talk out any ideas you have.


Valcor, you'll have to talk to Stephen about what's happening over in the Hutt stronghold. Though I hope to see if I can get an actual bounty hunter as a PC, instead of just NPCs, over there.


I think Thad and I have a decent plan for our Jedi's entrance.
