I used to be a part of one of the older incarnations of this site, and thought I would start again. I was wondering if a Jedi Knight or Master could mentor a character of mine (that I've yet to make)? He will be a padawan, though perhaps a bit older than normal so as to avoid the years necessary to gain knighthood. In fact, if it's possible, it might be easier to say his old master died or something, if that's ok with the moderators.
Sorry if this isn't the right board, but it seemed to work well enough.

Quick question: is it possible, if I post a suitable RP sample, to avoid padawan status and go to the Knight rank all at once? To avoid the trouble at all, I mean.

yes, as long as the staff in charge of that section (Jedi - Projectsunfire) thinks the rp sample is good enough then he will allow the Knight status. Just make sure your character is of the right age (minimum age for a Knight is about 21/22). But check out the character application forms, it mentions the roleplaye samples there.
