Appearance: Corbin is tall and lean with a strong, muscular build. He has thick, dark brown hair that comes down to his eyes. His eyes have a crystal blue hue. He has a kind face that smiles often. A long scar runs from his left temple down his cheek. Corbin's normal outfit comprises of black robes with a grey chestplate. He has black combat boots along with shoulder plates and wrists guards. He also has a small utility belt around his waist to carry anything extra he may need. He keeps his own lightsaber on the left side of his hip and his late wife Jisela Cole's on his right side.
Personality: Corbin was an easy going guy growing up. He was the type of kid who never took anything too seriously. Surprisingly though he kept to himself and had few friends. Like most Jedi he sought for the best and most peaceful solutions but was known for doing whatever was necessary for the greater good. The only person who had ever succeeded at bringing corbin out of his shell was his late wife. After a personal crisis Corbin's anger and grief towards the loss of his family led towards his fall to the dark side. Corbin had fallen to the dark side and in doing so had turned his back on the teachings of the Jedi and his entire life up to that point. He came back to the light side shortly after confronting personal problems during meditation. Corbin is as independent as before but now has a sad and grief stricken aura surrounding him. He prefers to use one lightsaber and use the makashi from but occasionally uses two sabers along with the Jar Kai form which he has also learned. He has mastered many of the lightsaber forms though and can transition during combat at will. Unlike the Kuati stereotypes Corbin is far from arrogant and was as in depth as a person as any one else and never performed bad deeds such as theft, manipulation, or any other so called Kuati stereotypes.

Bio:
Corbin Marak was born in Kuat city the capital of Kuat into a rich family important to the Kuat Drive Yards. Due to their high end positions in the KDY they neglected spending time with their new born son. As corbin grew older he spent most of his time with servants and this later led to him becoming a mostly independent person. He never showed any evidence of force sensitivity yet at the age of three a Jedi master from the temple came to Kuat to test for force sensitive kids. The master informed his parents that he had a fairly high concentrate of midichlorians in his body and that he could take corbin back to the temple and train him to be a Jedi. His parents agreed that it was the best thing for him and gave him over to the Jedi master.
When corbin arrived at the Jedi temple on Coruscant he was not at all impressed by the massive skyscrapers for they had some on his homeworld of Kuat. He was not used to having next to no possessions. Being born into a rich family he was used to being spoiled so when he moved into the Jedi temple with no personal belongings he was less then ecstatic. His group of Younglings consisted of sixteen boys and girls of many species between the ages of three and six. His group was known as the Sarlacc clan. When it came to free time all the other Younglings played together except for corbin. Corbin preferred to sit in the back and play by himself, his independent personality stuck with him all his life. Corbin excelled at lightsaber training but fell short of expectations in force training.
In the next few years Corbin grew bigger, he started packing muscle on and began attracting the attention of his teachers with his lightsaber abilities. He had begun to attune to the force better and could now levitate small objects and trinkets. He became arguably the best youngling of Sarlacc clan when it came down to lightsaber combat and had learned to use his body to his advantage in a fight. His teachers found it surprising when even at an older age Corbin was still as independent as before and even refused when other kids wanted to play or practice with him.
At the age of eleven Corbin was chosen by a master to become their apprentice. He was one of the first younglings of Sarlacc clan to be chosen by a master and this attracted jealousy. Due to his unique ability with a lightsaber at his young age he attracted the attention of Jedi Master Savrak, a master with lightsabers. One day Corbin was practicing his lightsaber form when the zabrak master approached him. He told him that he had noticed corbin's exceptional skill with a lightsaber and that he would become his master and teach him the ways of the force. Corbin was now a padawan and he began training under his new master immediately. His new master began teaching him the makashi lightsaber style. The tan skinned zabrak was a master of the makashi lightsaber style which focused on one-on-one saber dueling. It was primarily based off of jabs and light cuts; described as elegant and focused and relied on balance and footwork to outmaneuver an opponent. It was a style well suited for corbin and he learned it quickly.
Corbin was thirteen when his master told him they'd be going to Ilum so he could create his own lightsaber. He now had a strong understanding of the makashi form but was limited with the saber his master had let him borrow. Corbin set off for Dantooine with his master; after they arrived corbin searched through the eggs of the native species known as Kinrath for a Dantari crystal. After three days of searching he found a yellow dantari crystal and spent six days meditating on it and then finished creating his lightsaber on the seventh day. His finished lightsaber: a smooth bronze colored hilt, curved at the end making it more suited for the makashi form, with four prongs on the top, and a yellow blade.
After Corbin finished creating his lightsaber he returned to the jedi temple where he continued to practice the makashi form with his newly created lightsaber, occasionally sparring with his master. One day his master announced that the of them would be heading on a diplomatic mission to protect a group of senators heading through pirate territory. Being his first mission corbin was nervous so his master taught him a unique force ability known as crucitorn. Using crucitorn would make his opponent feel more pain towards an injury then they should, so he could incapacitate his enemies instead of killing them. Corbin then flew off towards naboo with his master where the senators where waiting. There had been mention of a pirate group clustered between naboo and coruscant and in case of attack th jedi would need to defend the senators. They made it about halfway to coruscant before they ran into trouble. It started with a violent shake as the ship was hit with a missile, then the captains voice announced over the intercom that they were being boarded. Corbin and his master hurried to where the breach was and prepared to repel the invaders. His master took point and expertly blocked back blaster bolts towards their origins resulting in multiple injured pirates. Savrak turned towards him and nodded, a sign for him to advance. Corbin force leapt over his master in a quick spin and landed mere meters away from the remaining pirates. He knew that makashi was meant for dueling not batting blaster bolts so he quickly rolled towards the nearest pirate and jabbed him in the leg with his newly constructed saber and used crucitorn to make the pirate drop in excruciating pain although it was only a jab to the leg. He quickly turned towards the second pirate ducking under his shots and extending his hand sent the man flying into the wall unconscious. The third and final pirate fired three shots at him. Corbin dodged the first one and then blocked the next two. In one graceful move he sliced the pirates rifle in two neat pieces leading to the pirate surrendering. As quickly as the fight had begun it was now over. The senators arrived on coruscant without further complications and the mission was a success.
For the next few years leading up to his twenty-second birthday Corbin and Savrak had gone on close to a dozen small diplomatic missions. On some there had been combat but most had resulted in a long, boring trip around the galaxy learning about politics. Corbin and Savrak had sparred close to a hundred times by now and corbin although never beating his master had become much better as a Jedi. Savrak had recently taught him a new ability known as electric judgment, it was basically Sith force lightning but not out of anger. It also came out as yellow and was slightly weaker then the Siths force lightning. Over the past few years corbin had become close to his master. He had begun to open up more and not be as independent although he was far from outgoing. One day his master came up to him and announced that they were going on a mission to Nar Shaddaa. Besides himself and his master they would be going with another master and padawan. Master Jok'ai and her apprentice would be meeting them at the temples hangar where they would be going to Nar Shaddaa to intercept a pair of dark jedi causing trouble.
When they arrived at the hangar corbin felt something he had never felt before. Looking at master Jok'ai's padawan who had been introduced to him as Jisela Cole he felt an emotion he knew but had never felt before. She was tall and lean with her long blonde hair tied back. Her eyes were a bright emerald green which matched her green robes. Corbin introduced himself and when she replied he realized she was corellian via her accent. He had a feeling he was going to enjoy the flight to Nar Shaddaa. On the long trip to Nar Shaddaa Corbin and Jisela began to bond. They talked about their time as padawans and for once corbin actually felt like he may have a friend. For the next week the Jedi hunted for the dark Jedi but came up empty handed. Then one night corbin and Jisela found evidence of a larger operation. They were on patrol when they spottes two figures in dark robes. They followed the two figures through a dark alley and into a large warehouse all the long masking their presences in the force. There they hid behind rows of boxes and spied on the dark Jedi cult who were now having a meeting. Instead of a mere two dark Jedi they found almost two dozen. They headed back to their masters and informed them of the situation. Their masters then passed the message on to the Jedi Temple where they were told that they were to stay low and do reconnaissance on the cult. For the next six months they did just that. More Jedi reinforcements arrived consisting of three knights. It was all they could spare when most of the knights were heading for the frontlines to wage war against the Sith. Over the long months corbin and Jisela's relationship became more romantic. They made sure to be as careful as possible to hide their feelings from their masters as they both knew romantic relationships were not allowed by Jedi. It helped that the masters were distracted by there long mission so they weren't deeply focused on their padawans feelings. Corbin had encountered multiple dark Jedi on the mission already as they knew the Jedi were on to them. Once in a while some of the Jedi would be on patrol when they'd encounter some dark Jedi leading to a duel in which usually there would be some small injuries but usually the Dark Jedi would flee before receiving to many serious injuries. Corbin had become a serious dueler with the lightsaber. He could take on two lesser opponents at the same time and hold his own. When he fought alongside his master the two were unstoppable. They complimented each others strengths and weaknesses perfectly. He also fought well with jisela. Her Djem So complimented his makashi style well. His jabs and light strikes made up for her heavy overhead strikes. The two began to fight alongside each other more often then not and enjoyed to spar with each other during their free time since it was hard to train on such a long mission. They taught each other new techniques that they'd learned from their master. Jisela had helped to bring corbin out of his shell, he was no longer as independent as before and worked with others more then before. A few months later they made a huge mistake. One night while their masters were sleeping they snuck out and found a cheap priest who would marry them. Like most young adults they were lovestruck and oblivious to the consequences. They continued there relationship in secret and their masters showed no signs of them noticing. A mere few weeks later corbin received the best news of his life. Jisela was pregnant! They were both excited but had no idea what they were going to do. If the Jedi council found out about them there was no telling what the consequences would be. They would most likely get thrown out of the Jedi order. He promised her that he would figure something out and that their love would conquer. Being around her he felt something he had never felt before, love and companionship. He would do anything for her and he would make sure things worked out for them in the end, he just didn't know how. A week later came a solution to their problems, but it was nothing they could have expected and it would end up ruining both of their lives. The two of them had been on patrol with both of their masters behind them. They were chatting about random stuff but deep down they were wondering what they were going to for the future. Their lives had suddenly become much more complicated. Corbin was now beginning to wonder if they should leave the temple, it was the only idea he could think of. Suddenly they both stopped in their tracks. They were in a dark alley high above the ground. Ahead of them was a narrow bridge spanning a fifty meter gap to the next building. The sky was a bright orange and blue, dawn was just beginning. Corbin felt a dark presence that he had felt way to much in the past few months. Dark Jedi. He reached for his lightsaber when suddenly a dark figure rushed out of the shadows towards him. The dark Jedi brought his lightsaber down in a arc that would cut into his face. Corbin was defenseless, he could never block the blade, he was still grabbing his lightsaber. He thought about diving out of the way but he knew he wouldn't make it, the blade would end up cutting through his shoulder blade and that would be lethal. Corbin felt an invisible force shove him backwards out of the path of the blade. The tip still managed to nip him creating a large gash from his left temple all the way down his cheek. He felt a shout leave his mouth as the plasma blade tore into his cheek. But now he flying backwards into a wall. His head hit the wall first and he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head. He blinked away the stars dancing across his vision and tried to focus his blurry vision. What happened next was so fast it took him a moment to comprehend. Jisela had been the one to force push him out of the way which had just saved his life. She had turned immediately her bright blue lightsaber igniting with a snap hiss but the dark Jedi had been faster. His red lightsaber pierced through her chest. Corbin yelled with all the anger in him. The dark Jedi smiled and pushed the lightsaber in even farther then ripped it out in one fluid movement. Jisela's eyes rolled back as she fell to the floor, a gaping hole in her chest. Corbin tried to reach for her in the force but there was almost nothing there. Her strength was disappearing fast, she would be dead in seconds. By now Savrak and Jok'ai had rushed the dark Jedi who was smart enough to realize he was outnumbered and jumped off the side of the bridge to another twenty meters below. Master Jok'ai turned towards her apprentice with a look despair and horror. Corbin was now on his feet as he ran over to Jisela. She was lying unmoving on the ground her eyes closed. He couldn't feel her in the force and for a moment he thought she was dead. But then her eyes opened, they were losing their bright green color turning darker as the life visibly ebbed out of her. He took her hand and looked into her eyes, she was as beautiful as ever. He felt a lump in his throat when she started to speak. What she said came out dry and he had to lean in to hear her. She said her last three words. He repeated the same thing and then kissed her on the lips one last time. The hand in his became limp and lifeless and he gently set it on her chest. The last words she had heard were 'I love you'. He searched for her in the force but found nothing, he could no longer feel her in the force. She was gone. Corbin felt something give inside him and suddenly an anger he'd never felt before began bubbling up inside of him. Anger towards his parents for abandoning and giving him away, anger towards the dark Jedi for killing Jisela, and anger towards Jisela for leaving him all alone. In one horrible moment his whole family had just been killed. Both of the masters looked at him with surprise at what had just happened and then alarm as they felt the hate and anger and dark energy pouring off him in waves. Savrak approached him carefully his tone soft and understanding but corbin heard nothing as he jumped over the side of the bridge plummeting twenty meters down towards the bridge below. Rage was now consuming him as he realized he would never see his child, or ever hear his wife speak again or feel her lips on his. His senses became suddenly more alert and he felt a power building inside him that he had never felt before. He realized his head was no longer pounding from when he had hit the wall. His mind was clear as he felt the dark Jedi hiding somewhere in the building in front of him. He entered the building and his lightsaber ignited with a snap hiss, the bright yellow blade lighting up the dark room. He faintly heard his master calling his name but he ignored it, nothing would stop him. He smiled, a menacing smile that had never before appeared on his face as he realized there was no where this dark Jedi could go. He was trapped.
As he entered the warehouse Corbin searched the force for the dark Jedi. Unfortunately he was no clairvoyant and this dark Jedi was particularly good at hiding himself in the force. Corbin waved his lightsaber around in an arc around the room, the yellow light emitting from the saber lighting up the dark room. His rage was now fully controlling him and it took everything he had to not lose it. He felt the dark side consuming him. His anger and grief were now completely controlling his actions. He walked through the warehouse working his way deeper and deeper into the facility. He moved past a particularly large crate stuffed behind a dust covered shelf and stopped. He had felt a quick burst of dark side energy like someone had been trying to hide themselves in the force and had slipped up. It was gone now, but it only took that one mistake. Corbin knew exactly who was behind that crate. He turned towards the crate and stretching his hand out threw a force blast at the crate shattering it into pieces. At the last minute the dark Jedi sensed corbin preparing the force assault and force leapt over the crate igniting his red lightsaber during his spin in the air. The same lightsaber that had been used to kill Jisela and his unborn child. The dark Jedi pulled his hood down revealing a heavily scarred face and smiled. Corbin came at him like a storm. There was no mercy as he feinted to the left and then threw a jab at the dark Jedi's heart. He blocked it but just barely. Corbin threw a slash at his lower left leg trying to incapacitate him but he countered it easily. Corbin pulled his blade away leaving the dark Jedi's saber low and his chest undefended. He lifted his hand and tentacles of yellow force lightning snaked towards the dark Jedi. They struck him straight in the chest and he dropped to his knees in pain, his lightsaber falling to the ground. Corbin threw his hand up and the dark Jedi flew through the shelf behind him. He force leapt over the remains of the shelf and landing next to the dark Jedi lifted him up and threw him into the wall. He deactivated his lightsaber and proceeded to beat the dark Jedi until he collapsed on the floor. He reactivated his lightsaber and was about to deal the the finishing blow when the dark Jedi pulled his lightsaber to him blocking Corbin's downward slash. The dark Jedi rolled to the side finding enough room to stand up, but corbin was on him instantly. He threw jabs and light strikes all over the dark Jedi's flank. Although he blocked all the strikes, each time he got slower and sloppier until finally he made a fatal mistake. Corbin's lightsaber came down taking off both of the dark Jedi's hands. He crumpled to the ground howling in pain. Corbin reached down and picked up the Dark Jedi's lightsaber and activated the red blade. Looking up into Corbin's eyes the dark Jedi smiled. In one spinning motion corbin spun both the blades cutting the dark Jedi in three pieces. The dark Jedi's remains fell to the floor with a soft thud. For a moment corbin just stood there breathing heavily as he starred at the remains of his first kill. On every mission he had been on with his master he had learned to incapacitate his enemies instead of killing them. He slumped down on the wall and held his head in his hands. He had never felt so alone before. His anger began to subside and he crossed his legs and began to meditate like his master had shown him. His anger disappeared but was replaced by grief. Only now did he realize how close he had been to completely turning to the dark side. He had felt it feeding off of his anger and hate, making him stronger. What had brought him back was thinking of Jisela. He wanted to make her proud and he knew she would never want for him to turn to the dark side. He collected himself and promised himself that he would never allow the dark side to taint him again. Now he would just have to hope that the jedi would still accept him.He got up and started back towards where his master was.
When he got back he found both of the masters cross legged meditating. He picked up Jisela's lightsber and hooked it onto his belt. The masters opened their eyes and corbin preceded to apologize for his actions and explain what had happened between Jisela and him and the dark Jedi. They told him that what happened next would be up to the council.
On the way back to coruscant corbin was put into a bacta tank to heal. He had a scar running from his temple down his cheek and a concussion. When they reached coruscant corbin had to wait for the masters to give their report to the council before they called him in for questioning. He was answering to the council for a few hours before they came to a decision. Although relationships were forbidden by the Jedi since Jisela died along with his unborn child they decided that he had suffered enough and that it had been punishment enough. As for him turning away from the dark side that had taken a lot of courage. Corbin was still a Jedi. That night they had a proper funeral for Jisela. For corbin it was for his entire family. His grief was almost overwhelming but he used it to realize why he would never again turn to the dark side. Next time he felt the urge again he would think of his family.
Besides practicing Makashi with his master, corbin also started learning Jar Kai on his own.
By the time he was twenty-three corbin had become proficient in Jar Kai and had learned to transition from Makashi to Jar Kai in a fight. Corbin's master didn't treat him any differently after what had happened on Nar Shaddaa but corbin couldn't help but think he had let his master down. He had killed the dark Jedi out of anger. That was not the Jedi way. Even if he had been evil corbin should have killed him in his right mind and not out of anger. It was his fault Jisela had died yet he felt that the masters felt slightly different. He never saw master Jok'ai again, after the death of her padawan she had turned to the frontlines to battle the sith. Since the incident Corbin and Savrak had gone on a few more missions but only diplomatic ones not anything like hunting dark Jedi. Yet even after all that had happened Savrak seemed to think no different of his padawan. He talked of him very highly and continued to teach him everything he knew about the force. For the next year the pair continued to go on small diplomatic missions around the galaxy. Out of the dozen missions they went on less then half of them did they see action. On those missions they only encountered pirates or bounty hunters, no serious foes. Over the past year corbin had been practicing nonstop. He knew he was close to becoming a knight. He had been practicing his Makashi and Jar Kai forms more intensely then ever and was working on transitioning between the two forms more cleanly in combat. He had now mastered crucitorn and electric judgement. One morning his master approached him while he was practicing with his lightsaber. He informed him that they would be heading for Nar Shaddaa within the hour to finish what they had started a year earlier. The knights who had stayed on Nar Shaddaa had continued to fight the dark Jedi cult until there was less then a dozen of them left. They had recently uncovered the location of the cult's leader and his last forces and had requested backup from the temple. Corbin was eager to go, he wanted to prove to his master what he could do and how much he had improved as a jedi since their first visit almost two years ago. Corbin decided though that after this mission he would never go back to Nar Shaddaa again. The planet held bad memories for him.
When Corbin and Savrak landed on Nar Shaddaa they found the Jedi knights waiting for them at the spaceport. From there the three knights led them back to their operating base. The five Jedi then set up their battle plan. The dark Jedi's stronghold was a two story abandoned cantina. There were approximately six dark Jedi plus there leader and about a dozen mercenaries inside. As soon as night fell the five Jedi headed for the cantina. When they got close they found that there was an armed guard on the rooftop. One of the knights waved his hand and the guard fell off the building. He didn't even have enough time to scream as he hit the ground, his body bent in an impossible way. The Jedi moved up to the cantina and entered. There was about a dozen people inside of a half dozen different species sitting around a large table playing dejarik. As soon as they saw the Jedi intruders they swore and pulled their blasters out. Master Savrak entered first deflecting as many shots back as he could. Two of the mercenaries dropped instantly. The rest of the Jedi entered the cantina and headed towards the mercenaries who stood no chance against a half dozen Jedi. They made quick work of them, slicing their blasters in two or knocking them out. Within two minutes all of the mercenaries were incapacitated. Suddenly a door in the back of the room opened and six dark Jedi came out. They formed a line and as one ignited their red lightsabers. A seventh dark Jedi came out behind them and bolted for the stairs. Savrak turned and nodded for him to go. Corbin gathered the force underneath him and launched himself up to the second floor. He heard the battle begin behind him. The hiss of lightsabers hitting lightsabers, Jedi yelling, objects smashing, the occasional blaster going off. He turned down a hallway and found the dark Jedi Master about to jump out a window. The dark Jedi turned to look at him, then jumped out the window. Corbin ran to the window and without looking jumped. He crashed through the window and landed on the roll coming up with both of his lightsabers activated. The yellow and blue blades lit up the room and the dark Jedi Master in front of him. The dark robed figure turned around to face him instantly igniting the red blade. Corbin felt different this mission, he felt no fear, only confidence. Without hesitation he rushed the dark Jedi. His speed with the two sabers clearly startled the dark Jedi as he struggled to keep up with both the blades. Corbin started pushing the dark Jedi back, he could practically smell the fear coming off of him. Eventually though the dark Jedi caught on to Corbin's technique and the battle began to even out. Deactivating Jisela's lightsaber he hooked it onto his belt and turned to the makashi form again throwing the dark Jedi off. Throwing a jab to the left of the dark Jedi which was easily deflected he feinted to the right and in a tight spin slashed at the dark Jedi's left side again. The dark Jedi barely caught Corbin's blade on his own. Sensing his own demise being imminent the dark Jedi force pushed corbin into the wall behind him. Corbin cursed, he hadn't been expecting that. The dark Jedi was on him instantly throwing heavy slashes across his flank. The dark Jedi threw slash after slash until finally he over extended and realizing his mistake too late corbin sliced off his lightsaber hand. The dark Jedi backed off screaming in pain which eventually turned into a howl as crucitorn took effect. But the dark Jedi master was not about to surrender. He pulled his lightsaber into his remaining hand holding it awkwardly. Corbin threw force lightning at the man which he blocked easily, but the yellow tendrils were only a cover as he jumped on the dark Jedi. This time corbin was in complete control of his emotions as he ignited his second lightsaber and slashed away at the dark Jedi's defenses. He got slower and slower until corbin managed to get one of his blades up under the dark Jedi's flank and impale itself in his side. The dark Jedi master didn't even have enough time to scream. In the same motion corbin brought his second lightsaber down decapitating his opponent. Deactivating his lightsabers corbin backed up breathing heavily. This time he had killed the dark Jedi in combat instead of executing him. The dark side hadn't managed to corrupt him at all during the fight. Corbin felt relieved, he had been scared that during the fight he would kil the dark Jedi out of anger like two years ago. But he hadn't. Jisela would of been proud.
Corbin turned away from the headless corpse and regrouped with his master and the other Jedi. They had managed to kill all of the dark Jedi but in doing so had lost one of their own. The knights stayed to clean up the mess while corbin and his master headed back to the spaceport. They were to report to the Jedi council on coruscant about their recent success.
The Trials:
Trial of Skill: Corbin passed this Trial by defeating the dark Jedi master on his second trip to Nar Shaddaa. He would of passed it during his first trip two years prior had he not killed the dark Jedi out of anger.
Trial of Courage: Corbin passed this Trial by fighting a dark Jedi master. The dark Jedi being a master had had more experience then corbin as well as skill. This was the most challenging opponent corbin had yet to face and it took everything he had learned to beat the dark Jedi.
Trial of Flesh: Corbin passed this Trial by losing his family on Nar Shaddaa. His pregnant wife was murdered by a dark Jedi. This threw corbin's life into chaos as he turned to the dark side and executed a dark Jedi. He later had trouble coming to terms with what had happened believing it was his fault that his family was dead.
Trial of Spirit: Corbin passed this Trial after the events of his first visit to Nar Shaddaa. After the loss of his family and his execution of the dark Jedi corbin later had a vision of himself as a Sith. In the vision he had embraced the dark side and turned his back on the Jedi as well as his deceased family. This was the most troublesome event in his career as a Jedi and something he did not take lightly. After a hard fight he came back from the dark side and had sworn to never let it appeal to him again. He found out firsthand why the Jedi are forbidden from relationship.
After corbin passed the trials his master came to congratulate him on becoming a Jedi knight. They also said goodbye knowing that chances were they would never see each other again. After all the galaxy was a big place. He promised his bestfriend that if he was ever lost or needed advice that he would find him. After his completion of the trials and his acceptance as a Jedi knight corbin decided to become a Jedi Guardian:. Corbin had become exceptionally skilled with a lightsaber and was working on mastering his skills. Although he still wanted to advance in the ways of the force and learn more abilities on the side. A Jedi should be well-rounded.
As a Jedi knight corbin trained as hard as ever to master the makashi lightsaber form as well as the Jar Kai. It only took him five months of complete devotion of his time for him to completely master the two forms. After his mastery of the two forms he began to admire the strengths as well as the weaknesses of the other lightsaber forms. Lightsaber combat was an art and corbin treated it as such. If he wanted to master the art then he had to master all of its aspects. But first corbin had something else to do. It had been five months since he had been on a mission, the council had allowed such an absence due to the fact that he was mastering his lightsaber abilities. So one day corbin decided to visit the oldest youngling group. They were all old enough to be taken by a master. While they were practicing with their lightsabers corbin watched them carefully with enthusiasm. One of them stuck out to him like a sore thumb. A young twi'lek girl wielding a green practice saber. She was aggressive on the practice dummy and he could tell that she was taking the session seriously. She had a small and lithe body which allowed for her to move fast and with agile. He watched as she landed hit after hit on the dummy with an aggressive pattern. He continued to watch her until the end of the exercise and then after talking to the youngling supervisor went to meet the young twi'lek. Before he had come down he had talked with the council who had decided he would be allowed to have an apprentice. When the small twi'lek girl got out of the room she was confronted by corbin. He got down on one knee and asked the girl her name. She said that her name was Pala'oni. Corbin smiled and said well pala'oni im going to be your master:
The eleven year old girl was a perfect apprentice for him, the two of them bonded right away. Pala'oni or pala as she liked to be called wasn't as interested in learning about the force so much as learning about the lightsaber and its different forms. She begged him to teach her about all of the different forms so that when she built her own lightsaber she could choose one for herself.
So during the day corbin would teach pala about the forms that he knew and they would practice on the dummies; and at night corbin would learn about and practice the forms he hadn't already learned. In the next two years corbin had shii cho, makashi, and jar kai all mastered and was teaching pala about them. While during the nights he had been becoming proficient in Ataru, an aggressive form mixed with gracefulness, shien the form most used for deflecting blaster bolts, and Djem so an aggressive and overpowering form, as well as niman the most balanced form of the seven with no advantages or disadvantages.
When Pala turned thirteen Corbin took her to Ilum to construct her lightsaber. After giving her all the advice he could he let her start on the creation of her lightsaber. She spent almost two weeks meditating on her crystals before finishing the lightsaber. Coming out of her meditation she proudly showed corbin her personal masterpiece, igniting the dual blades of her double bladed lightsaber. The saber with both blades ignited was the size of her but he could see the determination in her eyes so he nodded at the dual yellow blades and congratulated her on her fine work.
When the pair got back to the temple corbin showed pala the form she'd been wanting to learn for awhile. He had promised her that he would teach her it after she had created her lightsaber. So as promised corbin began teaching her the ataru fighting style. Within months she showed exceptional skill with the style and between the double bladed saber and the aggressive fighting style she became one of the best and most aggressive padawan fighters of her young age. They continued their day practices and corbin continued his night practices, mastering multiple forms.
When pala turned fourteen corbin took her on her first mission. It was a simple diplomatic mission and they saw no action. Like corbin she hated politics and was anxious to see combat. They went on four more missions before they saw real combat and corbin was worried his padawan would not be ready for it. They were on a consular ship when they got boarded by a pair of dark jedi and some mercenaries. Corbin had pala stay behind him as he put his lightsaber skills to work making quick work of the soldiers of fortune. When the two dark jedi approached them corbin squared himself with the two keeping pala behind him. She was still to young with no experience against dark jedi. The two dark jedi started circling him, one on each side so corbin drew his second lightsaber and ignited it's blue blade. The dark jedi rushed him at the same time. One was clearly a master and one an apprentice but together corbin was struggling. He could tell they where toying with him. As they pressed their attack he started backing towards a wall so that his two attackers were in front of him. The three combatants danced around for a few minutes neither side gaining an edge until corbin threw his yellow lightning at the padawan and when he raised his blade to block it corbin was on him. The dark jedi had not been ready for an aggressive two bladed assault and when he made a critical error corbin jumped on it like a nexu on raw meat. He jabbed the dark jedi in the chest and was immediately spinning to counter the master who he sensed now behind him was about to strike. Suddenly the dark jedi master stopped and looked down at the yellow blade protruding from his stomach and then when it withdrew he fell over onto the floor dead. His padawan stood in front of him, a wierd look on her face from her first kill.
In the next eight years corbin and pala became very close friends. Even more he had become an almost father figure for his young twi'lek apprentice. They went on close to two dozen missions together. A mix of diplomatic immunity, hunting dark jedi, and fighting pirates and mercenaries. At the age of twenty two pala passed the trials and became a jedi knight. She was now a role model light side warrior for the younglings to look up to. Her double bladed, ataru fighting style was aggressive and powerful and being a big lightsaber user corbin admired her abilities. Corbin on the other hand had mastered multiple forms and had become proficiently effective at several others over tje past eight years. He was now all but a master with the lightsaber. After pala's knighting ceremony corbin congratulated her on the accomplishment. The coming of a knight was a prestigious event. They said their goodbyes to each other not knowing when they might see each other again.
After pala's knighting ceremony the council summoned corbin. They informed him that after his training of pala'oni and her graduating to the rank of knight that he would be given the rank of master. After his promotion to the rank of master corbin spent much of his time in the battle room practicing on the dummies. He was finalizing his skills and transitions. At thirty five he was a young jedi master, he hoped he was ready for the responsibility the position required.
RP Sample: As Corbin marak entered the the town he instinctively reached out in the force, searching for the dark jedi named Darius seph. But the town was to populated for him to pull out just one individual. "Is he here?" His apprentice pala asked him. "Yes" he answered her confidently. Jedi intel had informed them that darius was on corulag. After they arrived they had been updated on his whereabouts, he was last spotted in this small town. He started walking through the crowds, his black robes hardly attracting any attention. Little did anyone know that walking among them was a jedi knight on an important mission to eliminate an especially troublesome dark jedi. Pala on the other hand was a teenage female twi'lek with creamy orange skin and beautiful features. Her tall, lithe frame only adding to her features. She was attracting an awful lot of attention from men of all ages and species. None of them would of guessed that she was a jedi padawan and that on her hip she carried a double bladed lightsaber which she could wield unlike anything else. He motioned for her to pull her hood on, there was no reason to attract any more attention then they had to. The pair headed for the nearest cantina. They entered without anyone giving them a second look. The cantina was packed with smugglers and bounty hunters and other assorted scum. Corbin headed towards the bar. The bartender a besalisk with dark green skin and a beard looked towards him. "What can i get you pal?" The bartender asked him."im here for information"he said looking around "im searching for someone, he's wearing black robes and a hood" the bartender laughed, it was a loud dry laugh like a chuckle. "Only person I've seen today with black robes is you' the bartender said turning around. He grabbed two glasses and two towels and began drying them with his four arms. "Now maybe you and your cute friend should buy something or leave" corbin frowned, this besalisk knew something and he wasn't spilling. Corbin put his lightsaber down on the bar countee and the bartender looked over his shoulders his eyes widening. "Tell us what you know or this will get real ugly real fast" The bartender just turned back around and continued drying his glasses. Pala stepped towards the bar and corbin raised his eyebrows curiously. "Were only asking for a little tip off" she said placing a handful of coins on the counter. The bartender turned back around and set one of his glasses down and scooped the coins up in one of his huge hands. The besalisk looked around the room quickly then leaned in quickly and whispered "he left here a few minutes ago, he was sitting over there" the bartender nodded to an empty seat with an empty mug in front of it. They thanked the bartender and started walking towards the empty stool. "How did you know that would work?" He asked his padawan. "Thats how these scum work, money can get you anything" she said with a smile. He smiled "note taken" when they got to the stool pala picked up the glass. She had learned an ability from another master while on a mission with another master and apprentice. Psychometry allowed for pala to see what had happened at a particular place by touching an object that the target had interacted with. Corbin waited a moment as she went to work. Two minutes later she set the glass down, "i know where hes heading" Corbin turned around and came face-to-face with a rodian and a wookie. The two looked like a pair of greasy and drunk bums. Mere seconds later the two bums pulled their blasters out and pointed them at corbin and pala. "He told us that you would come looking for him" the rodian started "he payed us in advance to end your lives" Before the rodian could pull the trigger corbin had sliced off the tip of his blaster and was force pushing him into a table. The wookie fired at pala and she ignited her double-bladed yellow lightsaber and deflected the shots easily. Corbin turn and deactivating his lightsaber clocked the wookie in the back of the head with it. The wookie fell to his knees and pala kicked him in the head knocking him out cold. When corbin was walking out he heard the rodian behind him ask "who are you?" Corbin kept walking.
When corbin reached the factory he couldn't help nut wonder what the dark jedi was doing here. The two jedi walked in. Inside there was row after row of conveyor belts. Handfuls of workers dotted the inside of the facility, none bothering to look up at them when they entered. The pair walked through the factory for a few minutes not finding any sign of the dark jedi. It wasn't until they heard someone yell "stop!" That they turned and found darius standing in front of them with his green lightsaber at the throat of a young factory girl. "Move jedi and she dies" Corbin found it curious enough that this dark jedi wielded a green lightsaber instead of a red one, he couldn't dwell on that now. "Let her go" corbin said sternly to the dark jedi. "If you hurt her this wont end well for you" Darius's mouth curled in a sneer, but before he could reply corbin picked up a tool box behind the dark jedi and using the force threw it at darius's head. The dark jedi sensed it took late and it cracked him in the head with a satisfying crunch. The dark jedi crumpled to the floor, the hostage ran away instantly. Darius hopped to his feet reigniting his green blade. Corbin pulled both of his lightsabers out and ignited both blades. The yellow and blue blades blurred as he spun them in a circle and poised in his attack position. Behind him he heard pala's yellow double-bladed lightsaber ignite with a double snap hiss. Corbin could see the worry in the dark jedi's eyes as the two jedi circled him. Then as if on cue tje two of them rushed darius. He moved fast to avoid the four blades but he couldn't get bu all of them as one of pala's blades cut his upper arm. He made no sound and corbin figured he was feeding off of his pain. Pala's aggressive attack had darius on the defensive attempting to block her dual blades so corbin deactivated his blue lightsaber and clipping it to his belt switched from jar kai to makashi as he came at the dark jedi's back. Somehow darius manged to deflect his blows but a moment later pala sliced his leg and he slipped up his defense. Corbin jumped on the opportunity and sliced darius's leg off, the dark jedi hit the ground in agony the scream barely leaving his lips when corbin came down with the finishing blow to his heart. Darius was dead. The battle had lasted a mere two minutes. The two jedi deactivated their lightsabers and left the factory.
