Hokay.
So, as some of you may ( or may not ) be aware, I want to change the nature of the threads Donnie is involved in.
Basically, I want to move her from being a sort of "comic relief" to an actual 3 dimensional character. Now, I understand this isn't an easy thing to do, even for a ( Kinda-ish
) talented poster such as my self. But, as a great man named Julius Ceaser declared moments before marching into the senate on the Ides of March, I HAVE A PLAN!
Now, before the rest of you decide topoke holes in me run screaming the other direction because my plans typically suck, please, hear me out, this one actually isn't that bad.
Basically, I'm doing something different. I've seen a lot of Smugglers on SWU come and go, but none of them get caught. I mean, not really.
Until now.
Doneeda, as awesome as she is, gets caught. Red handed, and she was setup by an inside man. The idea behind this thread is simple, Donnie gets caught, arrested and goes on trial. She's boned, as they have tons of evidence she's been smuggling. But, since she's only been smuggling, and hasn't been involved in the other things smugglers typically are ( murders, extortion, etc ), the Judge gives her a choice. 10 years at a penal colony, or 5 year enlistment in the Republic Military.
There'll be a discussion thread posted depending on interest here so we ( whoever's interested, basically ) can hammer out the details of what exactly we want to cover and how.
To boil it down...I need:
- An undercover Cop/Jedi/Privateer. Basically somebody who's going to be there to call in the cavalry at the right moment. If you've seen basically any documentary on the Mob, or Blow, you know what I mean.
- Some kind of people to cover the Republic's "eyes" on here. Basically to give us a glimpse into how they, even during the investigation, make note of the fact she's one of the rare smugglers who's only crime is being a smuggler.
- Cops to make the arrest ( can be done by myself if necessary )
- Judge
- Anybody else who's interested in selling Donnie out for a few credits. If you've ever wanted to sell out the competition to the Republic, now's your chance.
