Bio:
Murdock's childhood was nothing special to begin with. His mother raised him to the best of her ability, his father dying of disease before Murdock was a year old. After that his mother took to becoming a merchant, a poor one at that. A seemingly normal existence until the age of eight. Upon reaching his eighth birthday, some slavers had arrived under the guise of traders. Little Murdock had been interested in these outsiders, and had gone to investigate them finding them odd to a native of Glee Anselm. It didn't take long for them to notice Murdock and offered a false trade with him. It would cost him everything in his pocket for a shiny crystal, naturally as a young boy, stupidity aside, had agreed. Upon giving them what little credits he had, they had told him the crystal was aboard and he needed to go into their ship with them to get it. He had been foolish enough to believe them and before long they were taking off with Murdock as their new addition.
It didn't take long for them to notice that Murdock was force-sensitive. The slavers had to catalog each of their finds extensively, this included blood work as well. They then noticed Murdock's above average Midi-chlorian count in his blood. Thinking only of the big payday ahead of them, they had chosen to make sure he was as comfortable as he could be being a slave. It took them a few months to reach Dantooine, when they did, a dark force-user had noticed the boy's talent and bought him from the slavers. Murdock was now property to someone he had no idea about. He learned to tune himself to his talent over time, yet he had never been trained by a dark jedi that his owner had talked about time after time. Murdock had been threatened to be taken by them, but had always ended up doing what was asked of him to prevent it. Murdock had seen what damage could be done by using what he now called 'the energy to all things' for dark intentions.
By the age of nine, Murdock had learned enough about the energy around him and was fed up with the man that had bought him. In the night he stole the man's personal speeder and took refuge in the cargo hold of a space shuttle. It was there he had found an older woman, she had been disturbed by his presence and that was the first time Murdock had been introduced to a lightsaber, with it pointed directly at his throat. As he began explaining his predicament to the woman, she had become slowly more friendly to him, or at least didn't expect him to harm her. Murdock had found out that she had used to be part of the Jedi Order, this fascinated him, as he had never heard of such things from anyone. The woman had showed him how her lightsaber worked, and it wasn't long before Murdock wanted his own. She had agreed to teach him how to make one so long as he would keep secret that he had met her.
For such a small price Murdock easily accepted and the designs were told to him, the woman had also told him where he could learn more about them. It would be many more months of travel, and before long, be it through nothing other than his desire, or something else, she had begun to teach him how to handle such a weapon. Of course, without another saber, there was no way to perfect it, but he had his foot in the door for fighting with the weapon now. The shuttle had made it's first stop now, and Coruscant's bright lights drew him in. With a farewell, Murdock had departed the shuttle and began his life on Coruscant. Through academic pursuit Murdock had found a way to cause the lightsaber to work within water. With the new-found knowledge Murdock was off to find the components to create such a type of lightsaber. It took him some time, but by his eleventh birthday he had created it.
It was by no means the perfect thing, but it worked. His joy was unmatched that day, a working lightsaber. Of course he had to steal some of the parts, and that meant he was wanted for a few things, but nothing enough to attract attention he thought. Murdock had ran into the woman from his journey from what seemed to be so long ago. She introduced herself as Sasha, recalling Murdock from before. He had asked her if her returning meant that she was no longer running from the order, in response he had been given the knowledge that she was still part of the order. She had used the guise so as to not alert others of her intentions, which at the time was to find mass concentrations of force energy. He presented his lightsaber to the woman, to which she saw as a sign. She took Murdock under her wing, unofficially so that Murdock could have his freedom.
Murdock used his new weapon during sparing matches with Jedi Apprentices, slowly learning their fighting techniques over time. All the while Sasha being the one to set up the sparring matches. He added his own spin to them over time, and found it more to be a different form that he used. Using the blade to defend and attempt to create small openings and be in a position to retreat if need be, those that were actual Jedi had called it Makashi, Murdock only knew it fit him the best. He dueled and fought for years, replacing his lightsaber here and there, until it looked respectable, polished metals with obsidian being beneath the metal, it looked nice to him. Eight months after his fifteenth birthday, word had reached him of Sasha's death. It struck Murdock deeply, and he had wished those involved would be punished. After pursuing the cause of it for several months, he had been told by one of the apprentices that he had sparred with before that she had died of her own free will, committing suicide by her own lightsaber. After hearing the truth Murdock felt a great deal of relief, and since has wondered from planet to planet, doing as he sees fit, helping when he can, but not at the cost of his life.

"Damnit!" Murdock said as his bound hands slammed against the wall in front of him. He was on a bounty hunter's ship, apparently the old man that had bought him so long ago did indeed want his old property back. It had taken him long enough to catch Murdock, but still, why now? It had been so long Murdock couldn't make sense of it. He had no idea where the ship was going, and his saber had been taken from him. Damn them for it, why did they have to catch him now? He only wanted to be free, to live well and not worry for once. He wanted to go home, but apparently the energy around him had different plans. He didn't know why, but he did know that it was because of it that things could happen, as if it were some sick puppet master of fate.
Murdock has been yelling in anger for the better part of an hour as he tried to get attention from someone, but nobody had come to calm him down or shut him up. It was a bit odd to him, but it was better he could at least speak his mind, it was only when he finally chose to quiet down as he took a seat on the floor that he became comfortable again. A woman stood at the door to his cell, she spoke before he noticed her. "You there, Force-User." She had spoken in Galactic Basic, Murdock simply turned his head to the noise, his rare-blinking eyes focused on the woman. He wanted her to know that he understood her, but nothing more for now. He could work with this, he only needed a plan.
"Get up and come here." She had spoken so harshly to him, she was commanding him now. Murdock sighed and did as she said, using the wall as leverage to get his feet under him, he now stood walking to her. He could see her a bit better now, she wore a hood over her pale skin, and her eyes seemed to be a deep brown as she looked down to his binding. He looked at them to her as she did the same. The silent question of why he was still bound was asked and in response Murdock focused on the lock as he looked to his bindings, finally his left hand was free with a click. The smile on his face showed he was pleased with himself as he rubbed his now purple-bruised wrist. She had laughed before she caused the next one to drop fully freeing him of his binds. It had dropped so quickly, as if someone had hit the release switch for them.
"You will be joining me to Korriban, then, and only then, will your lightsaber be returned to you. Do you understand me?" The woman had asked as the door opened for Murdock. His eyes were placed on the two saber hits she had, he noticed one of them was his. That means she had one to, and he nodded slowly, he could tell this woman had nothing but darkness within herself, and he had no intention of going to Korriban, even if it meant freedom. He called on the use of the energy around him pulling his saber from her belt to his hand. The yellow blade hummed to life as he activated it, it was beautiful to him and before long she had activated hers and sent it towards him. Murdock's reflex kicked in and he caught it with his own saber. The sound wasn't very pleasant to him, but he had slowly gotten used to it. Murdock's eyes met her's as the blades hung in the air, contact made, before he finally spoke. His voice being slightly deeper than one would expect of their race.
"I have no intention of fighting. I merely wished to check the blade." Murdock had spoken not moving an inch the blades still connected. The woman finally withdrew her blade before holstering it. Murdock followed her, the sound of his lightsaber dying echoed as he attached it to his belt. She turned from him and walked down the hall, expecting him to follow. Murdock had something else in mind, going the way they had brought him, he stumbled upon the escape pods. "Freedom so close, yet so far." Murdock said as he climbed in and then had the pod leave the ship bound for the nearest planet. Murdock was unafraid, he would be ready if they followed him, after all, it was HIS home planet they would be landing on to follow him.
