Terrain Overview:
Uben Mainland
The terrain of Uben is considered to be incredibly unique, in that the extreme pressures created by the atmosphere of the planet have created massive lakes of liquid and solid carbon, some forming into huge mountains of diamond. As such, there is and has been no life on the planet due to the intense gravity, most likely generated by it's nine close-orbit moons that rotate around the planet in an almost perfect equilateral orbit.
As a result, although the planet is certainly beautiful to look at, it is utterly uninhabitable and any attempt to mine or industrialize the planet's surface have ended in failure and hundreds of deaths within minutes. Therefore, all of the life on Uben is restricted to it's nine moons, often nicknamed the 'Nonuplets', referring to their equilateral orbits and virtually identical size.
Uben-I
Considered the 'capital state moon' of the Uben Nonuplets, the entire moon is a wealthy city containing the Uben Parliament Building and many of the finest schools and homes of the richest citizens. Beneath the surface, the moon is essentially a dead rock with no mining potential or ability to sustain crops, and thus they have to import food and other materials from their sister-moons. The land of the moon is mostly flat due to sentient intervention. It was once mountainous and difficult to navigate.
Uben-II
The industrial center of Uben, Uben-II, nicknamed by the locals as 'Magnificon Factorus' or 'Magnifican' for short is similar in terms of geography and terrain to Uben-I, however it has not received the same level of sentient intervention, leaving it a dead rock with a mountainous and dangerous surface. The main difference however is that Magnificon has a molten center, though very small, making it the main source of power for the moon. As such, most of the high-power factories are located near the core of the moon and built outwards, the surface littered with a polluted and barely breathable atmosphere and a plasteel jungle of wires and jutting buildings.
Uben-III
The first of the moons to have a somewhat livable terrain, Uben-III is a plains world, mostly preserved by the local government as a reservation. As such, tourists often visit this moon to see the spectacular plains wildlife, including Kath Hounds. This is also where a great deal of Uben's farming is performed, however not nearly enough to be self-sustainable, relying on trade with the other moons and with other systems.
Uben-IV
An odd moon, Uben-VI is very similar in composition to the Uben Mainland, however does not maintain the incredible pressures associated with it's parent. The theory is that Uben-IV was a chunk of the Uben Mainland that was knocked off with something collided with the planet, resulting in what the government names an 'Infant Moon'. As a result of it's composition, it is a prime target for deep mining expeditions, making it a major exporter to Uben-II and other systems. However it also home to the 'Jade Palace', an ironically-named bunker hidden near the core of the moon where members of the Uben Union are protected in case of war.
Uben-V
Of all of the Uben moons, Uben-V is the only moon to display any sort of militaristic tendencies beyond a simple security force, essentially a giant garrison full of bunkers and a latticework of walls. The terrain itself is both mountainous and swamp-ridden, suited to controlled troop training and defense, given the right technology. Although the Uben Superion Militas is small, the troops are trained to fight in many conditions and each is both a front-line infantry unit and Spec-Ops specialist. They often hold a very large amount of power in the Uben Union due to their military might, often leading many other moons to either view them in a jealous light or attempt to gain their trust by any means possible.
Uben-VI
Nicknamed 'Lupenus', Uben-VI is essentially the main tourist moon of Uben. Or, more specifically, it is a moon-sized brothel. There is no space for accommodation other than hotels and rather small, cramped living spaces for the workers of said brothels. As such, the moon is covered in a polluted and seedy lover level city, with a beautiful upper level city filled with bright lights, bars and attractions, similar to Taris before the destruction wrought upon it by Darth Malak. The social and political aura of the moon is that of self-importance due to it's incredibly high income and importance to the Uben Nonuplets and also the unending pursuit of pleasure, both of the mind and body.
