Hello! I'm a coordinator in this year's Brickworld Indy event! It's a public expo where Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) set up displays and layouts of their own LEGO creations!
This year I am in charge of the Ohio group's layout, which is 60 square feet of Science Fiction awesomeness! It's a grey lunar surface covered in craters and rocks, and on one side is a Futuristic Lunar Base! The base has a large HQ building, and a 5 foot tall Space elevator! Oposit the base, is an infested area where giant space bugs have begun to nest, think Zerg from Starcraft, or Tyranids from Warhammer40K.
The layout has all sorts of motorized builds, and is chock-full of lights! I even made 20 minutes of background sounds to play so that you can really immerse yourself while you look at the build. There is even an "eye spy" / "Seek and Find" in the layout if you want to challenge yourself to spot everything on the list!
The show starts Friday, and I will be posting pictures here when I get back (unless I can take a computer that actually works, then I will post during the show). If you are in the Indianapolis area, you should totally check out the show! it's awesome.
