Name: Lord Aku
Race: Anzat
Age: 383 ( Born around 3983BBY)
Birthplace: Bandomeer
Allegiance: Sith
Status: Sith lord
Rank: Master.
Height/Weight: 6’1” / 220 lbs
Appearance: Aku is a muscular yet isn’t completely massive. Years of manual labor has toned his body into steel, giving him, a surprising amount of strength from toned muscle. Standing a little over six feet, he isn’t the largest man ever, but he has a certain quality to make him seem as if he is standing over everyone around him.
Aku’s skin is a brown-grey color, almost looking more dead than alive. His yellow eyes look as if they are sunken into his skull, however, looking at them shows a massive intelligence.
Due to his connection to the darkside, Aku looks like he is middle aged human. While many Anzat are strong and fast, he is only about that of an average human, despite his hard looking muscles. He can also sustain himself though the force for a period of time before he feels the need to feed.
Personality: Aku, strong of body yes. Strong of mind: most definitely. Sharp, cunning, and capable, Aku is more than just a killer out for blood. Sure, he will destroy a battalion of troops without a second thought, but if it will prove fruitful for him, Aku will let someone, no matter who it is, survive. Many other Sith see this as a weakness, only because they are out for themselves. He doesn’t care for being in the spotlight, and is fairly adept at manipulating strings from the shadows.
Aku is a very proud and confident in his abilities, much like how many others of his species is. Since he was young, he has worked hard in a single minded furry to accomplish whatever he was tasked out to do, and to better himself, learning with every experience, and simply studying everything he had a chance to.
Aku is more of an informal person, choosing to let those appointed under him to speak as they wish rather than have them constantly begging for permission, which tends to get under his skin. He will, however, put his boot down when needed, proving himself to be the alpha male whenever he needs to. To most other high-ranking Sith , he speaks formally , expressing discipline and high standards.
Aku is not one for disappointments, and will usually choke someone if they prove to bring of a large enough disappointment to him. However, rarely does it lead to death. Aku isn’t one to flinch away from pain and torture. He can shrug off quite a bit of pain, and draws pleasure from it in some cases.
Aku is sarcastic to say the least. It shows in his sense of humor, which, having such a sense of humor has been considered odd by many people. Aku has an a way with words; he can talk some people into doing as he wishes, usually those with weaker minds and with a push of the force, of course. It’s not a complete mental domination, but more of that little voice in their heads saying. ‘Do it. It will be fine. Its better than whatever else will happen. Nothing will go wrong.’

Biography: Childhood of slavery
Slave at birth, Aku was born under the Hutt known as Auppa the Hutt on the planet Bandomeer, serving as a slave with humans, twi’leks, wookies, and rodians, making up the majority of the slaves. Mostly everyone worked as miners, harvesting Ionite for the Hutt, who was selling it off for vast sums to whoever paid the best price. It paid for more slaves, and had plenty of extra to spend on anything else the Hutt desired. The young Aku and his family were held in higher status, as any slaves who tried to run, or simply gave up on living were fed to them. Auppa used organic slaves rather than droid because of the attributes of the Ionite, which made any electronics malfunction and stop working.
Because of the rather high population of Zabrak’s in the slave camp, Aku learned much about how a Zabrak was supposed to be: strong, proud, and always able to prove someone wrong. Their influence stuck with Aku for many many years to come.
By the time he was 8, Aku was fairly strong, but who wouldn’t with constant manual labor. He could keep up with people twice his age and older, and was always in the middle of everything, helping out with whatever he could. Being so young and in a diverse environment, he picked up on most of the languages being spoken, even if he himself couldn’t speak much.
Aku never seem to fit in with the other surviving children there. He was constantly at odds with everyone, and fought with them if he was pushed too much.
When Aku was 9, there was a slave revolt. Just before daybreak, all the slaves rushed towards the main complex nearly a kilometer away, and managed to make it before someone noticed them. As a mass of close to 200 people, compared to less than a quarter as many guards, the slaves managed to make it all the way to the main building.
That was before a man cloaked in black appeared and began to slaughter the slaves with two lightsabers. The bloody light seemed to shine in glee as it sliced to whatever they came into contact with. All the slaves, with nothing but stones, tools, and whatever weapons they managed to lift from the now dead guards stood no chance.
Aku grew furious at watching this shadowy man kill off everyone he knew, however, rather than rush in at full anger, the child held back, hiding rather than jumping to his death. It was some little voice in the back of his head that told him to do this, and he listened to it. As the killing slowed, Aku found himself a blaster, and came out of his hiding. He targeted the man, putting the quivering sights on the man, then he pulled the trigger. The first shot was wide, but his second and third were on point.
The man deflected the blaster bolts easily, then leapt the distance between then, bringing up a solitary lightsaber to the child, after hacking the blaster in half. Most people would have backed away instinctively, but the grey-skinned child held his ground in the face of death.
With a small laugh, the man lowered his lightsaber, then stowed it away completely, leaving the child wondering what was going on. With a little bit of exertion through the force, the boy was rendered unconscious.
Aku didn’t know how much time has passed before he woke up, but when he did, it took him a minute to realize he was on a ship rather than in the cold hard ground where he spent his entire life. Across from him was a man, who was simply sitting and looking at the child. The man introduced himself as Gavin Modarn, and he called himself a Jedi. When he removed his hood, Aku saw that his skin was ruby red. Aku inquired him about this, and he said that he was a Zeltron. He also said that starting this day, Aku would be trained as a force user.
Training in the force
The training that Aku was put through was no joke: every time the child messed up with something, he was shocked with the force, and every time he wanted to give up or take a break, he was shocked. Gavin said that the galaxy was unforgiving, and thus he would be unforgiving as he passed along what he knew. Quickly enough, Aku began to break physically and mentally. It was amazing how a child, not even at the age of 10 yet, could become broken so quickly, and molded so easily, but children were always the easiest to change.
By the time that Aku was 10, his eyes were bottomless pits due to the near continuous torture from Gavin, who was always very careful with what he did to the child, ensuring that he didn’t leave any permanent damage. He also made sure to bring back people for Aku to feed on every now and then, so the child didn’t die.
Much of this early training was done on Tatooine, away from any prying eyes. It was also here that Aku also made his first non-food kill. It happened to be a man who was trespassing on the small ‘estate’ Gavin and Aku were staying on. Gavin handed Aku one of his lightsabers, and, swiftly, Aku hunted down the man, and sliced him into quads. There was no flinching at doing this: Gavin was satisfied with his apprentices work.
Knowing that the child could spill blood without a second thought, Gavin decided to up the training. It became more intensive, and repetitive, but also didn’t require the torture used to originally break him in the first place. The main focus of the training, for the moment at least, was to hone the bloodlust that Gavin felt and saw within the child, which, in his belief, required martial skill. Aku was given a lightsaber from a fallen Jedi, and more than just the basics were instructed.
By the time Aku was 12, he had the basics of the first form of lightsaber combat down. He still had much work to do, but he and Gavin couldn’t remain on Tatooine for much longer than they already had. Gavin had felt tremors in the force, and knew that he and Aku had to jump ship, so that’s exactly what they did.
Their destination: Felucia. The unforgiving planet was primarily chosen because it had a deep connection with the living force, which Gavin hoped would be able to speed up Aku’s training. While continuing Aku’s difficult combat training, Aku was also supposed to tap into the force on this planet, and try to influence it in any way. That was much easier said than done, in Aku’s mind, but he still meditated at any chance he get, opening his relatively untrained mind to the force to try to tap into it on this planet.
Time went on, but the repetitiveness stayed the same: train, meditate, train, meditate, train, and meditate. Aku became so used to this that he didn’t realize that he was tapping into the force of this planet, and though it, into Gavin. Slowly, Gavin’s mind continued to open up to Aku whenever he was meditating, and even so during combat training. Aku learned from his master that he was a failed Jedi who had more brawn than brain, and he simply failed out of the knight exams, and left the order. No wonder he wanted to train with Aku on this planet, which was rich and overwhelmingly thriving with the force.
By the age of 15, Gavin said that Aku was good enough to use two lightsabers, which was the style the senior force user was most adept at. Unknown to the senior force user, Aku was slowly stripping the knowledge of how to fight with this style. Gavin was doubtlessly surprised and proud of his apprentice, thinking he was a prodigy. Of course, obtaining the knowledge and putting it into practice was entirely different, but knowing something helped him out greatly.
Slowly, as he became more powerful and tuned to the force, Aku began to feel that his life needed to take a turn… for better or for worse. He believed that this began with taking out Gavin, who Aku already knew he learned about all he could from the failed jedi.
Aku struck right after a training bout, literally disarming Gavin, and leaving him defenseless before the young man. Aku didn’t goad over the fallen man, and simply stated that he had expended his use. With that, Aku feasted on the man, picked up his lightsabers, and took Gavin’s ship for himself.
Thirst for knowledge
Aku’s path took him away from Felucia, letting the force draw him to his next, which happened to be the forest moon of Duxn, home of the Tomb of Freedon Nadd.
Why Aku felt he had to come here, he didn’t know, but the young man just had this gut feeling. The young man didn’t even know how he found the temple. Upon arrival, however, he knew that this was the correct place. Aku remained here for some time, meditating in the ruins, and took in the darkside.
Aku didn’t remain on the forest moon for long, and left a few days after his arrival on it. A tingle in the force told him this was just a stepping stone to what he was looking for. For a while, Aku traveled the galaxy, secretly looking for any teachings, be them from the Jedi, Sith, or anywhere in between. While he trained his body to keep in shape, he didn’t focus on combat, but rather he focused on his mind.
At the age of 18, Aku ventured to the forest moon of Yavin IV, where he felt the calling of the darkside. Planetside, he saw the temples, centuries past. It was also where he found a small sect of fallen Jedi’s and independently trained force users, such as him, living in a smaller temple; they called themselves “Xantics”. They were using this place as grounds for studying the entirety of the force, rather than just the light or dark. Aku was offered a place here, as most were drawn here or were brought here by the will of the force. The young Anzat hid his darker side, and his thirsty side, and took plenty of time to study.
The people here were nice enough, helping each other with whatever they needed or asked, as well as living off the wilds of the moon, only venturing off planet to search for study material, adventure, or to pick up needed supplies. Aku, having his own ship, was often one of the ones to go off the moon, usually with two or three others. Aku used this time to siphon off bits of knowledge directly from whomever he was with, using it to expand his own bank of knowledge. He was very careful with this, syphoning off the knowledge when his ‘partners’ were asleep. He had to say, he was very interested in what these people had to keep hidden. He could only assume that others were doing the exact same thing he was.
Aku spent most of his time away from the rest of the Xantics, studying up on holodiscs, as well as meditating. Only a few times a week did he do anything with the group.
At the age of 20, Aku, after spending more than a year with the Xantics, was one of the more knowledgeable people on the moon, and he discovered, through very old and broken holodiscs, several force abilities that he knew the others had yet to puzzle together. He kept these hidden in the recesses of his mind, safely away from the prying force users, or he assumed them to be prying.
One night, while meditating, the man felt a calling through the force. Aku fallowed this call, and left the temple that the Xantics lived in. Throughout the night, Aku fallowed the calling, and he ended up at a temple, but for whom it was built for, or for what purpose, he didn’t know. There were, however, ancient pictographs on the interior, telling of a mass genoside, or terrible war or battle, and at the tip was a single figure, with several at his feet, perhaps warriors, and fallen figures below them.
Aku marveled at the mural, at least until he sensed someone coming up from behind him. Turning, it turned out to be one of the head members of the Xantics. The man, Xander, had fallowed Aku, not trusting that the man had the best of intentions in mind. True, Aku did not, but he hid this fact. After a bit of talk, both decided that the temple was best left alone.
Aku struck when he and Xander were leaving, brutally ripping out knowledge from the man’s head, then stabbed his purple lightsaber through his heart, killing the older man. Had Xander not trust Aku, then he may have lived, but that wasn’t the case. Xander had no lightsaber for Aku to take, so he instead took the necklace around the man’s neck.
Upon arrival back at the Xantic’s temple, Aku proceeded to steal knowledge from everyone while they slept, then he killed each and every one, feasting on them and bathing in their pain and death, as he allowed each person to wake up for a moment before he struck them down. When all was said and done, no one remained alive. By dawn, Aku was off the planet, his ship now stocked with holo’s, book’s, and prizes from his killing spree.
Aku thought long about the mural he saw within the lost temple, and knew, somewhere deep down, that he would need to accumulate more knowledge, as well as a place to store all this knowledge. His chosen destination: Dromund Kaas. Upon landing on the planet, which was ruled by Rich aristocrats rather than force users, he ‘aquired’ a medium size estate away from the main ruling parties, and began to turn it into a suitable place for his sanctum. He may have been young, but he had acquired plenty of knowledge from others.
War ensemble
Through the force, Aku began to sense something in the force not long after he began establishing himself on Dromund Kaas. Digging in a little, he realized that it was actually just the full force of two sides, consisting of Mandalorians and the Republic, engaging with one another. Aku knew there was no room in this war for him, especially at his young age, but he still kept track of everything going on, occasionally leaving Dromund Kaas behind to go raid battle scenes. Sometimes he would find something of relevant information to his study of the force. Very often he would find war survivors, usually Republic soldiers who were cowards, and brought them back to his estate for food.
Aku felt the Battle of Malachor V from his estate, and the wound in the force that it left. He wanted to head there to collect information, but knew that it was impossible; Instead, he sat back and waited, feeling out the ripples in the force.
The years of peace afterwards were gone in an instant, or so it seemed to Aku. He spent much of that time investing heavily around the galaxy, gaining funds for his purchase of slaves, or rather, food, as well as interesting trinkets from old Sith or Jedi. He wasn’t afraid of selling anything either, knowing that he would eventually get it back with enough patience.
At the age of 28, five years after the Mandalorian Wars, as they were called, The man known as Revan, hero to the Republic, returned as a conquer, at least, from the Republics point of view. For Aku, it was a different change. Unlike the Mandalorians, it seemed as if Revan wanted to change the galaxy, for better or for worse.
Seeing opportunity in this, Aku made his way to Korriban, which seemed be be a primary planet within Revan’s Sith Empire. He wasn’t one of the first people there by far, as it was already occupied by Sith under Revan. He also didn’t need to work too hard to prove himself, after he literally disarmed two other initiates, then proceed to feed on their soup. The headmaster of the academy saw his feat, and Jorak Uln allowed him in, placing him under another force user. It was shortly after him entering the academy that Uthar Wynn took over the academy.
Aku’s master during his time on Korriban was a man named Koldar Staid, and he was also paired up with a young woman named Anna Vosh. Both of them were skilled with lightsabers, more so than Aku was, who had much of his training in memories alone. It was still good for him, as he learned much.
He was also shown how to perform a darkside staple: Force Lightning. This came relatively easy to him, as he obtained at least the knowledge of it from Gavin years past. Never before, though, had he felt the need to use it in practice. For food while on Korriban, Aku used defeated slaves, or extremely unlucky initiates.
