What's a Bothan to Do?

Number Of People Wanted: Any (willing to do multiple threads with multiple people)

Reason For Roleplay: Needing another plot (or two or three...) to get him involved in now that he's open once again

Other: Have a future plot in mind for him where one of his former bank robbing partners squeals on him (and the rest of them), which thusly puts a bounty on his head, making him extra wary while on the run... so if interested in that specifically, I'd think you awesomesauce.

Wouldn't mind getting him involved in a new crew/partnership type of deal, instead of a one-off thread.

He's a slicer, too, so if you have need of those kind of services.

Otherwise we can do a run-in somewhere in a cantina or wherever... he likes to play sabacc sometimes...

But yeah... he's pretty open to whatever.

Depending on how my current app goes, could be interesting to play with this guy. I've got a Bothan jedi in the works, but he's a bit naive and young, so I could see some potential manipulation or something take place. Maybe they meet in a cantina, exchange some words (being fellow Bothans, after all.), maybe someone comes looking for Trevil's head (you mentioned a bounty on it ;p) and this new Jedi 'friend' inadvertently defends him, thinking it's some random assault. Being the political beings they are, I'm sure having a Jedi in the pocket wouldn't be too bad. =p

Or other ideas, who knows!

Edit: Profile of the guy if you're interested. Still pending, though, but I figure to run this idea by you and see if it suits.

Hmm... I don't think Trevil has ever run into a Jedi before, let alone a Force user. So it could be interesting!


However, I notice your guy is a padawan... and padawans generally don't travel without their masters. So unless he gets lost or separated from his master, I'm not sure how the two of them would meet, haha.


That aside, I like the idea of a random encounter somewhere. Trevil hasn't run across many Bothans since he left Bothawui, so just that fact alone might make him curious enough to speak to your Jedi.

And that's true, there could be some difficulties involved due to that. That being said, the guy's close to completing his apprenticeship and becoming a Knight himself; it could possibly be reasonable that they'd send him alone somewhere as part of his Trials.

Likewise; Fenn's not bumped into many of his own kind and, likely, would welcome the opportunity, even if he'd have no idea of just who the guy is.

So what would you like to do with them?

Trevil will probably be sticking to the Outer Rim/Mid Rim, staying away from the Core/Bothawui and likely to less populated worlds.

A random encounter at a cantina or something? Trouble at a sabacc game or something? Out in the street? Somewhere Fenn got separated from his master/sent on a simple mission close by? Or at a spaceport (Trevil could be looking for a ride)?

Sounds good! I like the idea of them meeting somewhere and something kicking off that would, to Fenn, seem totally random and unjustified, whereas to Trevil it's probably a response to something he's done. Maybe like you said, trouble in a Sabacc game in some backward cantina; it's suggested Trevil's cheated some folks out of money, a fight might start..Maybe he has, maybe he hasn't.

Fenn's right at his trials, I'd guess he's traveling with his master but more than likely on his own in terms of missions, etc; he's a few steps away from being a Knight himself now, so they'd probably be looking to make him a bit more independent. I'm happy to have him go most places (Sith space may be difficult), as I'm sure most areas could be justified in one way or another. :3

Sorry for not responding yesterday.

But anyway, to step off our conversation in the shoutbox...

The possibility of Trevil ending up on Bothawui is awfully tempting. Just to freak him out a bit, haha. Since he hasn't been back since the robbery (for obvious reasons).

And until I bring up the bounty plot with him, his main objective will be what it had been... traveling the galaxy to look for his partners who screwed him over on the payout. Which means him earning credits here and there and hitching rides from here to there.

So as for Fenn running into him...

I think he would be conflicted. On one hand, he'd feel comfortable with a fellow Bothan... but on the other, he would be wary, wondering if it's someone out to get him. But once he figures out Fenn is clueless about who he is (aided by Trevil using an alias), he would likely warm up to him at least somewhat.

Hopefully enough that he ends up on the ship with him and his master on the way to Bothawui, haha.

To accomplish that... we could go the sabacc game route. He's caught cheating or suspected of cheating, so he makes a quick exit... and somewhere out on the street, bumps into Fenn. Maybe they hide in an alley, I dunno... they talk... and one thing leads to another, and Fenn is like "I have a ship! Come with me!" or something.

(Unless he just stows away... which I'm not sure Trevil has done before... and it'd be hard to sneak up on two Jedi...so... I dunno).

Though I like to get a general idea, I'm not a huge planner and like to just freestyle things mostly, lol.


Not sure if any of this makes sense or not... and feel free to tweak it.

Sounds perfect! More the better that poor Trevil's having to dodge some pissed off gamblers he might have swindled when he bumps (Literally, even) into the unsuspecting Jedi. ;p

I was gonna suggest that the two run and hide rather than fight, but yea, sounds awesome! As for a Jedi mission to Bothawui, definitely like we talked about in the c-box, maximum awkwards to ensue, and it would be easy to design a mission for Fenn to be going on for it; talking trade with a Republic-loyal planet, all manner of things. Could even be more of a laugh, Fenn's never been to 'home', so he's going to be excited; "What? why are you nervous? This'll be fun, right? What's it like there?!"

This will be epic to see play out! Let's do it!

Shall we do this as two parts? One thread on the current planet where they meet (perhaps the reason for him and his master being there is just to refuel or whatever, and while that happens, Fenn has some free time in which he runs into Trevil)... and then the second one on Bothawui?

So if they are coming from Coruscant... maybe Devaron would work as a starting place? Something in that area...


Either way, I can try to start something next week.
