Housed within a great ray shield to protect the Library from the irradiated ruins around it, this is one of the Sith Order's worst kept secrets. Everyone in the Order knows of it, but only a select few are granted permission to learn from it. It took years for the Sith Archivists to unlock and activate the Jedi Archives within, but they are now restored and fully operational. Concentric rings mark the interior of each tower of the Library, organized meticulously by the ancient Jedi. Shielded and decontaminated years ago from any radiation it is safe within the Library halls from any environmental effects. Environment suites are required outside the Library walls though, making the only traffic the occasional Sith leaving or arriving.
The domed tops of the Great Library mark the few research facilities the Order has recently set up. With the grandest at the peak being the Inner Sanctums personal laboratory. It is rumored the Sith war beast, Ashardalon, makes the Great Sith Library its roost here. Due to the importance of Ossus to the Order, only those who have been given permission from the Inner Sanctum are allowed to and from The Library. Nearly every Sith Lord and Lady has permission from their rank alone, but Knights and Acolytes aren't uncommon to see in the more public areas of the Library. The Imperial fleet that protects Ossus only needs an order for their ships to shoot down any blockade runners.
Constantly patrolled by a legion of security droids and Sith Archivists, any attempt at taking the Library from the Inner Sanctum is considered suicidal. The very deepest reaches of the Great Library house luxurious dormitories, fit for the usual visiting Darths and Lords/Ladies. Instead of a communal dining hall, a collection of slaves bring anything the Sith desire to their chambers directly. Several smaller chambers are where visitors can train and practice newly learned techniques.
