Jakar is the ideal face of a Mandalorian. A roughly built man, standing proudly at just over six feet and weighing around 214 pounds of refined muscle and good fats. His body is covered in battle scars and his overall exterior is that of a warrior. His limbs are long and his muscle tone is well-built from a lifetime of exercise and a warrior culture.
His most notable scars are on his face, five long ugly scars on the left of his face that almost look like claw marks, but were the result of a explosion. The bridge of his nose is large, one can clearly tell that it has been broken many times and reset.
Besides how much of a manly warrior he is he'd appear like a normal person. His head is shaven, but often it grows back into a short buzzcut if left for a long period of time, such as on crusade. His face is likewise clean shaven, but a short beard will grow if left alone, the hair never growing from the scar tissue, making his scars even more prominent. Wrinkles visibly adorn his face, crows feet, forehead wrinkles and laugh lines, all a testimony to his growing age.
His jawline and chin are quite square and broad. His eyes are a brown colour and his hair, if he had any, is a dark brown colour.
His armour is the traditional beskar'gam that all Mandalorians wear. It is white with blue trim and black accents and is custom fitted to his body. Underneath he wears brown underclothes mainly for comfort, he also wears a dark-grey colored drape over his right shoulder.
Personality:
Jakar is a simple man to understand, he values loyalty and honesty, bravery and humility. He loves family, and any man or woman fighting in a crusade is family. They are all brothers and sisters and the Mand'alor is their father or mother. Jakar had spent a good portion of his life in combat and his personality reflects this, making him dominate, powerful and stern to people unfamiliar to him. Yet to those he calls friends or comrades he is certainly a friendly and loyal person. Still, in a command position means he must be strict with subordinates if the situation calls for it. Regardless of his disposition towards them.
As a Mandalorian, and one who follows the Resol'nare or six tenents, he has a warrior mentality and is incredibly loyal to his family. One of the tenets demands he contribute to his clans welfare and therefor he gives a good portion of his war earnings (Or plunder) to his clan on Mandalore. Biography:
Early years, 0-3
Born on Mandalore to a nomadic Mandalorian clan, the Vylkir. Jakar was named after his grandfather who died fighting The Betrayers crusade. His mother, Firaxa wasn't originally a Mandalorian but became accustomed to the lifestyle after she met Jakars father, in her words, they met while he was a bounty hunter since the Mandalorians became 'soft' after the treaty of Mandoa and couldn't stand being idle. He needed to leave, explore and fight. This all changed of course when Jakar was born, suddenly he had a legacy to leave behind to his son and would do his best to make his son into a true Mandalorian.
Jakars father, Kote. Raised Jakar in a traditional Mandalorian way, rather than being a Father he was a mentor and would spend a lot of time teaching Jakar the values of Mandalorian life often demonstrating in one way or another. The clan Vylkir which only numbered about 67 believed in a communal system, similiar to a school, children of all ages would be gathered before the strongest and oldest warriors of their clan and shown how to fight mostly in unarmed combat while being taught nearly all aspects of Mandalorian life, so it was at a early age that Jakar was exposed to combat, his father continued this by teaching him where a mans vulnerable spots were, Jakar however was to young to actually start training himself and didn't even process some information given to him.
Each day went by like this, and once a month all members of the clan (If possible) were gathered to eat in a large communal feast to encourage kinship, essentially forcing everyone together to talk and share news. Almost everyone knew everyone else in the clan, and the focus on community in the clan was so heavy that many members often sat down and ate together each day with one another in small get-together's.
Growing up 4-8
As Jakar grew older, and stronger, it was time for him to train as a Mandalorian, now his Father brawled him, he never actually struck Jakar but simply pinned or pushed him away, focusing on his sons own strategies and skill before actually fighting his son. This didn't stop Jakar from brawling with other kids, mostly his own age, such behavior was encouraged by their parents as it was a way of training and also helped forge closer bonds of brotherhood between the children.
In paticular, Jakar had one close friend named Tykisir. They would spend a lot of time together, wrestling, talking and walking around the village and outside of it. Tykisir was only one year older than Jakar and they remained friends even when they grew up, it was Tykisir who introduced Jakar to the Bes'bev, he began teaching Jakar how to play it though he never actually commited.
At six Jakar was given his own blaster, it was so heavy that he could never really hold it properly. Still, everyday his Father would take him outside to shoot it and train with it, to get used to the idea of holding it. The targets remained large for some time, but as Jakars skill improved they began to move farther and farther away until they were some 300 meters away, they were still large targets however made from wood with crudely painted target signs on it. As his skill in handling the weapon improved his Father moved onto focusing on accuracy, so now it was small targets. Just a foot in diameter, like before they were very close ten meters away, twenty meters, but as his skill improved they began to be farther and farther until he was able to hit his targets 100 meters away in quick succession without missing. The targets however still continued to move farther away until they were 300 meters away. Jakar needed some time to line up the shot at 300 meters, and even then still missed occasionally and only rarely achieved a bullseye.
Though shooting a blaster was a skill anyone could learn with ease, Kote was determined to train his son with the use of a beskad and unarmed combat enough to rival a Jedi! Kote himself was not as skilled in this own aspect of combat and after passing as much knowledge as he could onto Jakar turned to other members of the clan to training Jakar. They were happy to do this but not without some kind of payment in return, so it became a custom for Jakar to be training in martial arts and swordplay with people much older than him. Sometimes older than his Father while his Father paid them, sometimes doing jobs for them or giving them something to pay for his sons training. The first martial arts Jakar ever learned was Echani and Beskad sword-fighting. When not training with others, his Father would ask him to show him what he learned, and the two would wrestle each other, his Father always winning, until they had to eat, sleep or when his Father had to do a chore which Jakar usually helped.
At around eight years of age Jakar began hunting with his Father. Together they would leave and for a couple days would live in the bush with scarce resources hunting down Shatuals. Occasionally their Father-son duo would change into a hunting party as other members of the clan accompanied with them. At times, Jakar would invite his friend Tykisir along, but the two would mostly goof around than hunt seriously.
A coming of age 9-13
Life continued the way it was for many years, Jakar joining in brawling and wrestling competitions that the children made up and training with his Father or friends of his Father and occasionally hunting for Shatuals.
The intensity and frequency of his training continued and by the time he was thirteen he thought quite proudly that he was a master at using a Beskad and unarmed combat. This wasn't the case however, still, he was proficient and as he grew older his muscle tone increased. Thirteen was the onset of puberty was well, which mean that he'd be producing testosterone in bulk and that would only help him become a Mandalorian.
His clan, in paticular held no special skill. They were hunters, farmers and smiths. One was free to chose whichever path they felt best accustomed to, because of a lack of speciality and due to their Mandalorian culture, many became bounty hunters.
A memorable date of this was when he turned thirteen. His Father went hunting with some of his friends along with Tykisir and Jakar. Jakar was told they'd just be hunting Shatuals, but after killing a Shatual of his own they set up camp and Kote presented his son with two things: A custom forged Berkad, and his first drink of Tihaar, it was a celebration for Jakar and his coming of age. He was no longer a child, he wasn't quite a adult either but he was ready. He was quite eager to accept his own Berkad, he was less eager for the Tihaar, especially when it burned his throat and mouth. At the end of the day he named his blade 'Tracinya kal'
Teenager 14-20
As a teenager, his responsibilities became more important, he was set to assist many other members of the clan, from the smiths to the farmers. His warrior training continued to be constant however until he perfected as much as the village and clan could teach him. Now training had slowed, he know took to practicing, dueling, sparring and exercising at various times of the day. The bulk of his day was taken up by hunting, Jakar would now go out on his own for days, sometimes weeks hunting, always returning with a few does or bucks to be butchered. Jakar would usually give the meat away, or invite his friends and other clansmen to eat with him, he provided a bulk of meat for the feast once a month as well. Being a growing teenager however, he had desires and explored these with girls in the clan. Only one relationship however was actually serious, her name was Briila and they dated for a couple years. His true devotion however was never really with her, and that may of been the reason why the split up, after the split though, Jakar felt a bit empty and wanted to get back together with her. She had already moved on though.
Other times he assisted the smith, he never really learned the trade but eventually decided to learn how to make Beskar'gam as it was a very personal thing.
So, at 17 he spent a lot of time with the smith. Learning the ways of the trade for the sole purpose of crafting his own Beskar'gam. He did just that, at 20 after 3 years of training. At first he wasn't happy with some aspect of it and continued to work on it until he perfected his own armour. He painted it himself and proudly displayed it.
He didn't quite know how to make the helmet, or how to give it functions, so he never made it until he could find someone who was good at programming. For this purpose he traveled to Mandalores capital Keldabe and found someone willing to configure his helmet for a multitude of functions. So in Keldabe he paid a smith to let him use his forge and paid the programmer to install modules into his helmet. He was quite satisfied with the finished result and the helmets HUD eliminated any kind of tunnel vision.
Now that he had his own armor however, he was of age to begin his own life. He chose to become a bounty hunter, promising to return to Mandalore one day, have his own son and return to smithing as a career.
Bounty hunter 21-62
The life of a bounty hunter wasn't a easy one, he came so close to brushes of death that he was left scarred and discouraged. He took to drinking Tihaar and other alchoholic beverages in his spare time. Despite Mandalorians distaste for the Hutts he worked quite frequently for them, becoming little more than a criminal. Perhaps the worst job he ever could get was tracking down a person who owed debt, entering into his apartment was the worst thing as his door was rigged with a explosive. The explosion came from the left and without his helmet on it scarred most of his face thankfully without damaging his eye, was this a life he was to resort to? Tracking down cowards for their gambling debts and getting his face blown apart? Still, even this life gave him something. He met many interesting characters who only helped to further his combat abilities, either by testing his own or teaching him new tricks, styles and skills. Needing to travel also gave him abilities in driving and piloting.
Obviously something had to change, change came with a epiphany of sorts, he looked at himself in a mirror and decided he didn't want to live like this. He was already older, MUCH older, and already gained a reputation as a bounty hunter but he was prepared to leave this life behind though and returned to Mandalore. Not a year after he arrived, a new Mand'alor arose. Jakar eagerly joined his crusade, and fought to reclaim Ordo and continued to fight for the Mandalorians in combat, taking many hits and suffering many wounds but always recovering with nothing but a scar left. Eventually, his dedication and service allowed him to rise in rank to a new position of Alor'ad. He was placed in command of a company-sized group of men and made sure that each one was a true Mandalorian, not afraid of death.
When Mand'alor the Liberator died, it was quite a shock to Jakar, still, he died with honor never surrendering like The Betrayer. A new Mand'alor took the reigns, Mand'alor the Reclaimer, she continued what The Liberator started and took it to a new level.
The present 63-65

Upbrining
Jakar swung a punch at his Fathers jaw, his Father simply backed away, grabbing his wrist as his arm swung to the left and threw his son to the hard ground "No finesse Jakar! The Jaw is not the place to strike, it is a hard place, and a helmet makes it harder, a man can easily back away as well! Strike where they can not see, the throat, the gut, the legs!" Jakar got back up, rubbing off the dirt from his body and wincing in pain as his skin had rashes and burned from the ground.
He kicked at his Fathers leg, it wouldn't actually do anything since he was still small but his Father demonstrated the kind of effect it would have, he pretended like his knee was kicked in and his leg locked and 'tumbled' down a bit, closer to Jakars level.
He didn't hesitate and swung a punch at his Fathers throat, again his Father simply acted out the effects, the punch hurt as any hit to the throat would but it was nothing compared to being hit by a fully grown man. His Father gasped and acted like he was a bit short of breath, falling down on his arse.
Next Jakar swung for a kick into his Fathers gut, this was the moment when his Father stopped acting and decided to humiliate his son, after all humility is what keeps a warrior from getting himself killed against a stronger opponent. As his sons foot came closer to him he grabbed it and flipped his son down to the ground. Jakar crashed down and made a loud groan.
"Never let your guard down, never give your enemy something to use against you: Even your own weight. You're doing good son, but you still have a long way to go"
His Father reached down with a smile, offering a hand to help Jakar up. He grabbed his Fathers hand, it was going to be a long day and it was still only early morning.
Mourning
Mand'alor the liberator had just died, Jakar sat with a few of his brothers in arms. Drinks of Tihaar was being handed out and everyone say quiet.
Jakar was the first to speak, "To Mand'alor the Liberator! He who led the Mandalorians from submission to the Republic and Liberated Ordo! A true Mandalorian!" Everyone raised their cups and shouted 'To the Liberator' before downing them.
Jakar waited for everyone to refill their drinks before speaking up again "And to Mand'alor the Reclaimer! May she live long, and lead us to battle, we will have vengeance against the Republic! For the death of the Liberator and for what they have done to us for centuries!" There was no audible speech, it seemed like everyone was just shouting with eagerness.
They were warriors eager for combat. They were Mandalorians.
