Vartuk traditionally speaks in third person and like most Gand he is humble and self depreciating. This may seem like the perfect personality for a Jedi, but he has a dark side deep down. To suppress this hatred Vartuk became very adamant on his meditation. This caused him to unintentionally seclude himself from others. Since death and fighting set all his problems with the Republic in motion, he tries to shy away from that now and deal through diplomacy instead. Even though he is against fighting, he is by no means a pacifist. Vartuk always carries weapons on him in case he needs to defend himself.

Biography:
Wrong Place at the Wrong Time
16-19
Uuqin became an official findsman at 16 and since he knew basic his task was to find any outsiders and eliminate them. For his first two years he took care of all the unlucky smugglers and criminals who chose Gand as a hiding place. Most had a hard time trying to survive on the planet so it was mostly just giving them a mercy shot. But at 18 Uuqin's life would change forever.
His senses picked up three foreign signals and tracked them down for an ambush. hidden behind a structure he saw three aliens (They were humans, but aliens to him) conversing and wearing silk attire. Uuqin didn't bother to question them and picked them off quickly. When looting them for evidence he found plans on a holopad to settle and start a Republic colony on Gand. Little did Uuqin know that these humans were acting without Republic permission. He brought these to the monarch and Uuqin was rewarded for stopping foreign intrusion. This earned him the right to be given a unique name and since then he'd be forever known as Vartuk.
Right around the time Vartuk turned 19 he got a strange message on the holopad that he kept from the human. It read We are sending this because we have not heard a response in the designated time, return to the flagship or we will have to send a search party. Vartuk brought this to the monarch's attention and he was given a small ship to investigate. Not to long after leaving the atmosphere Vartuk notices a ship that dwarfed the one he was using. Assuming that this was the flagship Vartuk heads towards it. Upon entering Vartuk was surrounded by Republic troopers. When he steps into the hanger he gets commanded to surrender. Since he was not ordered to attack and he was clearly outnumbered Vartuk gets on his knees and puts his arms up. One of the troopers shot a tranquilizer and the rest went black.
Vartuk cornered a Rodian in an ally. "You will tell Vartuk where the spice trade is happening." He waves his hand in front of the Rodian's face using force persuade. The Rodian stiffens and hesitates before answering.
"The spice trade is happening within a private room of the Nexu Cantina." The Rodian loosens up and looks bewildered at Vartuk before running away.
"There's still time, that cantina is only five miles away." Vartuk mutters as he hops on his swoop bike and revs the engine. Taking off he zips through the winding streets like a bullet. Within about ten minutes of riding a large sparking neon sign advertises the Nexu Cantina. "Good, Vartuk got here faster than expected." He enters the sleazy cantina, almost glad that he has a respirator by the looks of this place. The center had the bar, to the right of it was Twi'lek dancers and to the left were the private rooms. Everything else was just stools, tables, trash, and drunk patrons. Using his sense ability he figures out which room the trade is in and sneaks in the next time someone leaves.
A Devronian man sat in a cushy chair with his feet on a table. He was to busy counting his credits to notice Vartuk enter. When he finally looks up he almost falls out of his seat. "What are you? You know what don't answer that. You came to buy some spice?"
"No, Vartuk came to warn you that security knows about this and is coming." It was obviously a bluff, but this was just an attempt to diffuse the trade. The Devronian's eyes widen at Vartuk's words.
"Thanks for the tip." Before Vartuk could respond two Houk came out of the shadows and grabbed him from the arms. "But I can't keep any evidence, including you." The Devronian snarls.

Biography:
Humble Beginnings
Birth-15
Born on the planet of Gand, Vartuk hadn't accomplished anything in life so naturally he was only known as Gand. Throughout his schooling years Gand showed to be special among his fellow students. He had two things different about him. One of them was he had vocal cords allowing him to learn basic and giving him potential to deal with foreign affairs. The other was he showed signs of being force sensitive, especially when it came to sense. So naturally with these gifts he was expected to be a findsman. By the age of 12 he went under the mentoring of a findsman, learning how to use a blaster rifle and utilize his sense ability. Once he turned 15 he was assigned his first task. He was to hunt down and capture a conspirator whose threat wasn't much more than her words. Gand succeeded in this task and he earned the right to be called by his surname, Uuqin.Birth-15

Jailbreak
19-22
19-22
When he awoke he found himself on a small transport ship with his hands tied together and his weapons stripped. A guard was sitting across him blaster ready. Vartuk expressed his confusion and the guard explained that he's being taken to a prison planet for terrorism against the Republic. The humans that he killed were high ranking noble emissaries for the Republic and their deaths have ruined possible expansion for the Republic. Upon arriving on the planet, Vartuk was forced in to a holding area with other insectoid prisoners. He spent his time mostly meditating which was something his mentor taught him to do to remain in a alert state. Whenever the other prisoners asked him why he's in here he'd just respond with "I only did my duty."
Years have passed and Vartuk is now 22. He became accustomed to this life and remained safe by staying alert and negotiating a Geonsian gang to help him, by promising them freedom one day. That day came sooner than Vartuk thought. The alarms went off as a lightsaber baring human female cut through the guards. She stopped at Vartuk's cell and just told him that she was breaking him out. Not complaining Vartuk followed as she carved a path of bodies and they fled onto her ship. She then explained that her name was Leandra Mor and she's a grey jedi. She only coincidentally found Belasvis, but upon landing she could feel his energy and saw him as a potential student. From then on Vartuk became Leandra's unofficial padawan.

An Informal Jedi

Roleplay Sample: .23-30
Under the training of Leandra, Vartuk learned how to wield a light saber through practice blades, but picked up on force related moves easier. They seemed almost inseparable, when Leandra wasn't training him to fight like a jedi she was training him on how to talk your way out of sticky situations, especially on the streets. With a little help from force persuade Vartuk unlocked the diplomatic potential he always had.
At 25 a Jedi thought Leandra and Vartuk were teetering on the line of the dark side and tried to eliminate them. With Vartuk's practice blade and blaster rife and Leandra's lightsaber, they defeated the ironically accusing Jedi and Vartuk took his lightsaber as a trophy. At this point Leandra became the family that was taken away from him and once Vartuk got the Shii-to form down she began teaching him her specialty, the Ataru form.
Five years went by and Leandra declared that his training was done and he's now a full fledged jedi or at least a gray one. They celebrated by buying a swoop bike and spending the day relaxing at all sorts of cantinas in Coruscant. While walking back to Leandra's ship they were stopped in the hanger. A Trandoshan stopped them ans told them it was boss' ship now. Leandra was obviously very enraged and very drunk. She charged the Trandoshan only to be cut down. Adrenaline pumping though Vartuk's veins, he uses all might to force push the Trandoshan so hard that he broke his neck on impact. Vortuk ran to the ship only to watch it fly away. Running back to his master he tried to wake her up to no avail. He reports the crime to the Republic security, but they did nothing to help. Vartuk then realizes he has to take justice in his own hands.

The Lone Vigilante
31-35
31-35
On his own now Vartuk spends his time doing three things. Continuing his meditation, even more so than before, honing his skills with the lightsaber and force, and stopping injustices. His actions are done preferably through diplomacy, but when things get rough and they usually do, he's prepared to fight. So now at the age of 35 Vartuk knows what his duty is and will make sure he doesn't falter on it.
Vartuk cornered a Rodian in an ally. "You will tell Vartuk where the spice trade is happening." He waves his hand in front of the Rodian's face using force persuade. The Rodian stiffens and hesitates before answering.
