Faceclaim: Jane Shepard.
Amelia Archer is a tall, athletic woman with a lot of natural grace accompanied by an inherently rugged look. She has deep blue eyes that have been described as piercing and command a certain presence about her that draw people to her. And around her wide face, a series of freckles adorn her fair skin to bring a nice contrast. Overall, she’s quite striking in her appearance, but she’s not very vain, so sometimes you have to take a good long look at her before that becomes very apparent.
And her style doesn’t help with that much either. Despite being quite toned and lean, she often hides her body with baggy clothing or lots of layers. She’s not self conscious or anything, but prefers being comfortable than having any sort of clothing purely for aesthetic and not function.

If there was one word to be used to describe Amelia, it would be strong-willed. She is a strong-willed, stubborn, and headstrong individual and she does not apologize for any of that. She's known to lose patience quickly and is definitely quick-to-anger, but when on the job, she maintains an air of professionalism and respectfulness that her peers find hard to match. She's one of the most loyal soldiers in the Republic. I mean, off the job she's this perverted lady who has this great sense of humor and can be sarcastic to a fault, yet it's kind of endearing.
That doesn't mean she's without faults, however. Amelia has her fair share. One of them being that she has a tendency to hold grudges for as long as possible. They only end if it's resolved in her favor or if the other person dies. This lends to her becoming sadistic and vengeful if the grudge is more serious, meaning if the person did harm to her friends, family, or otherwise. Along with that, she's quite a cocky woman, and lets her guard down quite a bit because of that.

Biography:
Amelia was born on Coruscant to a military family. She had three sisters, a father, and a mother. She was always fighting with her sisters over trivial things, grades, style of clothing, etc. However, Amelia didn’t have much trouble growing up and living out her early years. She was a nice kid, behaved well, and did try to impress her father and mother at most turns because she was a middle child, not paid attention to the most or often. Though, she was an interesting girl, quite smart and quick-witted.
Eventually, Amelia’s mother had been called to work on an operation that had involved an uprising of Dark Jedi who had been stranded on a human colony. She never returned home and was declared MIA. This caused Amelia’s Dad to go through a rough patch that involved drinking and drug addictions. He was imprisoned on many occasions for the next two to three years. He was able to shake the addictions and the illegal habits, but at a great cost, as the drinking caused the Amelia’s Dad, Brian, to have his liver fail.
Amelia, after that, had become very rebellious. She no longer needed the approval of her father, who she had lost respect of, and no longer needed to impress her mother, who had most likely died. During the three years of imprisonment, Amelia had not gained much support from her sisters or her other family because they themselves were preoccupied with the situation so she became a loner. She didn’t have many friends according to her sisters and she spent most of her time training at a local martial arts dojo, learning human and alien martial arts. When asked about this, Amelia had said that she used it as a distraction from her real life, so that she didn’t have to see the real world for what it was just yet. She couldn’t match each of these races’ strength or speed, but she did have heart, says her former trainer. It was a nice way of saying she wasn’t that great.
When the family got the news about the cancer, Amelia was around the age of sixteen, and having finished school early from skipping a grade because of her very high grades, she devoted the next two years of her life caring for her father. The cancer had gone into remission after those two years, however, but still had Brian in pain. Brian insisted that Amelia go off and do whatever she wanted to do. And Amelia, following in her Father’s and her Mother’s footsteps, had enlisted with the Republic Military at the age of eighteen.
During basic training, she had an affinity for vehicular combat and was encouraged to join the navy, but decided on with the marines, as even marines needed vehicular support. She also became a skilled marksman during this time and trained to be able to use her firearms while moving at high speeds. Finally, she learned how to pilot fighters and air transport vehicles.
When she graduated and joined up with the marines, she was relegated to vehicular support and that’s exactly what she wanted to do. She worked with soldiers on the front lines, using her military-issued swoop bike to do such. During this time, Amelia slowly worked up the ranks and showed off her commitment and drive for the cause.
When the Republic and Sith went to war, Amelia was right there on the front lines and quickly rose up through the ranks, becoming known to all as a survivor, having been a republic trooper sent out to fight and die but came back every single time. The Dragoon, as her peers called her, would wreak havoc across the battlefield at lightning speeds using her trusty swoop bike.
It wasn't until a return back to the military station she currently resided at that she really got to show off her skills, however. The Sith Empire caught on to the ship and boarded it, causing a few to be killed and countless to be injured. But Amelia has always been resourceful and this showed just that.
Amelia used some shards of metal she found riddled across the ship and fashioned them to the end of her swoop bike, taking one of these shards and wrapping it up in cloth to fashion a makeshift knife, and found talcum powder along with some circular containers that were then used as a smoke grenade of sorts. Using these weapons, she was able to cut down many of the invading Sith using guerrilla tactics and caused them to retreat temporarily, which allowed her the opportunity to gather up the remaining crew and escape the area.
When she returned and the Republic high command heard about her actions, they awarded her with a promotion to Sergeant and a commendation for her work in the field. And now, to this day she still works on the front lines as the Republic's Dragoon.

Breathe.
“We need some help here!”
Breathe.
“Archer? Archer, get your ass over here! Right now!”
Breathe.
“I swear I will send you back to the stone age, get over here right-”
Go.
Amelia leapt out of cover at that point and shot over to her swoop bike that was lain stationary on the ground. It took one quick hop and a growl of the ignition for her to be smashing straight through to the frontline where the rest of her teammates were waiting.
“Lay down some cover fire! We’ll head around!”
The two troopers split off into separate directions and the good ol’ sergeant stepped up on her bike, leveling her rifle at the droids in front of her, where she was able to get a couple shots in that killed one of them and forced the other to retreat. She crouched down low on her bike and spun out into a full stop, raining fire down upon the droids.
“Got you.”
She might’ve been overwhelmed if she stayed there, but her teammates pulled through on their flanking tactic and began joining in with her constant stream of blasts taking out the droids one by one. It wasn’t long till they were all gone.
And at that point, the simulation ended. The training exercise had gone off without a hitch as it usually did at this point. When you do it enough times, it just becomes basic preparation and for you to keep focused.
Amelia lazily rode her swoop bike over to her teammates and gave them a high five, riding next to them as they headed out to report to their commanding officer.
