Appearance:
Standing taller than most at his age and still growing due to the terror that is puberty Setsuna Aren seems to be growing into what would seem as a strong and hopefully comely young man, any wounds or scars incurred later withstanding. While slightly on the pale side his body seems to be more toned and well managed no doubt due to the years of training he had put in to it. While not too wide or lithe to perhaps look as if he's ill, his body sit in a good balance which makes his rather handsome but scruffy appearance seem as if it is due to harder living than most.
This opinion would be taken upon seeing his rather unkempt raven-black hair. His hair not only unkempt is also quite long for a Jedi to wear it, his braid being kept to the right side of his head the rest of his hair tends to seem rather windswept and uncontrollable by its owner who would rather look poorly kept than try to take the time to do something about it. While his hair is one item to draw attention to him Setsuna also has rather piercing ruby eyes, something that would most likely seem off putting for many which the youth has made into a icebreaker more than once to stave off an awkward silence or two in his eyes anything can calm a situation, pun intended.
For his clothing Setsuna tends to follow the Jedi's dress code with great respect. While not finding the robes to be entirely useful for perhaps difficult situations such as need to chase and apprehend someone on foot he understands the image that it preserves of the order for he and other to uphold. Though he does respect the garments such dull colors do not really suit a young man only beginning to grow into his own. As such Setsuna can be seen looking at more suitable wear for men of his age outside the order but rarely would be able to purchase something considering his circumstance.
A habit that tends to form from Setsuna's impatience or boredom is his fiddling with his lightsaber, either playing with it on his side or taking it up from its holster and gently throwing it back and forth before he find more means to act or entertain himself.
Personality:
While still impulsive and almost madly prone to making poor decisions based on his gut Setsuna seems to be able to keep some of his teen angst and hormonal imbalance in check, this helps him greatly as he is well known for choosing to lead rather than acting as an outcast. Even from youth the young lad had great potential for leadership, he would always be the one to take the lead in any form of game or find the best solution for all his other youngling allies, perhaps even at the cost for himself. This could be seen as perhaps a weakness for him as his clear attachment to his allies means he would do anything for them and his ability to strengthen their resolve through his words and actions while making them stronger puts a great deal of pressure on such a young learner to openly want.
Still Setsuna while still able to complain and gripe like the best of them is more concise and only takes out his aggression on others if he feels they have done something wrong to him or others. He very rarely finds outlets to do this and tends to take a different approach to fighting than many Jedi would be first to start out with. While many find the time for talk to be short in this day and age the order always has taught the learners of the force to never move to action first, Setsuna tends to find this approach to be easier to him. His presence and his tone does not look to intimidate unless needed nor act superior, he could talk a smuggler out of a standoff with a rival through misdirection and word of mouth before he would try the approach with his lightsaber.
His wit and strong personality aside his youth has made his attachments to those he considers close to be extremely strong, his anger is mostly seen when a foe takes action against those who are close to him with his fighting style being purposeful to take down the threat and to show them mercy only when they choose surrender. Detachment is natural in the order but for Setsuna to simply detach himself from those who he considers his family would be the same as dismissing everything he was training for. It is this that is the crux of what it comes down to with Setsuna, loyalty and the sense of purpose he gains through the order, he does not look to be a hero or claim fame he wants to make sure that when he looks behind and in front of him those men and women who stand besides him are alive and well.
This way of acting around people tends to make Setsuna seem more like the life of a party than the protector that the Jedi are viewed as, but it is not just being a peacekeeper that can keep the galaxy's inhabitants at peace, some times you have to be able to show you're human too.
