Darkside Calling

The small ship caught a beam of light and reflected it in a flash as it soared over the grasslands. It's engines were fairly silent, making it's movements seem almost unreal. Inside, a woman's cunning eyes scanned to landscape below her until she found a suitable spot. This woman was Renata, Dark Lady of the Sith, and she was on the hunt yet again.

Ever since her Dark Lord had dismissed herself and Veratos, she had been hunting. Searching out Dark Jedi who would heed her master's call. She had separated from Veratos shortly after leaving Ossus. She had commandeered a small vessel of her own and set out in search of dark allies.

During her journey, she had completed her work on her new lightsabers. She had successfully converted the archaic hilts so that they no longer needed their external power supplies. After combining them with the four new crystals, she had achieved a beautiful balance between old and new. The hilts were fashioned to seem solid and somewhat rough. There were no activation switches, no adjustments of any kind. The blades themselves were perfect and did not need these arbitrary additions. The longer blade was intense and agile. The shorter was graceful and thin. One of the crystals inside enhanced Renata's already impressive stealth abilities.

As the ship settled onto the grassy plains of Dantooine, Renata prepared herself. She had abandoned the pricy Zeltros clothes that she had worn before and was now clad in sleek, form fitting black clothes. There was no extra fabric to get in her way, yet the clothes were not tight enough to restrict her movements. Her hair, however, was free of any restrictions. The fiery red waves hung down past her shoulders, wild and blazing. Dawning a black robe and lifting the hood over her head, she left the ship.

Once her feet were firmly on the ground, she began to reach out with her senses, stretching them as far as they would go. The force was strong on this planet. The Jedi had once existed here, in their enclave, keeping their so-called "peace". But now their presence here was only a whisper, and the darker forces of the planet were free once again.

From over her shoulder, two scout droids hovered, their repulser lifts putting off a soft hum. She smiled at her lovely droids. She did enjoy them so, with their silent efficiency and unquestioning loyalty. With a nod, she dismissed them to search out the area. The unit on her belt would keep good track of them as she did a little searching of her own. Dark energy drew her here, and she could feel it even stronger now that she was standing on the planet. She would soon pinpoint their location. She moved with the grace of the wind and silent as the shadow of a passing cloud.

Xavier and his loyal servant Bree'ah had spent the last week on the planet of Dantooine. He thought it would be an ideal place to try to cultivate Bree'ah's sense capabilities and possibly some combat abilities too with the rabid kath hounds that roamed the quiet planet.

Xavier stood on top of a hill that over looked the abandonned jedi enclave. All that remained was the half destroyed building, salvagers had made sure there was nothing of real importance left inside. Bree'ah sat in a casual manner with her left arm wrapped round the bottom of xavier's right leg. Xavier himself, stood crossed armed barely moving a muscle.

"Did you sense it?" Xavier questioned Bree'ah.

"No Master...has some one come here, master? oh, please let it be a jedi.. i do like their arrogance master" Xavier would raise a slight eyebrow.

"No my loyal servant.. it isn't a jedi... but i am intrigued indeed" Xavier would proclaim.

"s-s-shall i kill it for you, master?" Bree'ah asked. Xavier would just shake his head slightly.

"No, not this one..she has her uses.. we will wait here for her..for i am sure she knows we are here.. the force may have just brought us together..."

[Meira]

Yes, I know my darling. She said as she smiled at the droid. It had returned to her, reporting some specifics about the immediate area around the ship. Nothing out of the ordinary, a few Kath Hounds, some settlers and the like. But she was not here to take in the sites, at least, not those sights. The other was still out collecting information. She could only hope it came back with exciting news. She sensed more than one stop on this planet.

Her smile continued as she turned her head back to the two figures that crowned the distant hillside. One sitting, one standing, both facing away, and both tainted by the dark side. One more so than the other, but both very interesting.

Renata Tilted her head and seemed to sniff the air, as if it would carry her more information. The female is... unimportant. Renata dropped from her perch in a tree and dusted off her robes. Let's go say hello, shall we? She said to the droid with a dangerously cheerful tone.

She took her time in her approach. She could sense that she had been detected, so she made no effort to hide her presence. Instead, she allowed herself the time to study those she had found. The female was eager, the male... intrigued. Neither was on edge. Renata hoped to keep it that way. She had done her part to silence the dark side when she was a blind follower of the Jedi. Now she was a Sith, and it was her duty to uplift and bring together those who would serve her master.

She reached the hill and began her ascent to meet the two. Well, the male anyway. She could sense that the female was a simple follower. She could gain them both by speaking only to one. Efficiency.

She crested the hill and took in the view, not turning to look at the two just yet. There are those who would see this become the fate of all Jedi. She said, nodding her head at the ruined Jedi enclave. Then, she turned her head and lowered the hood of her outer robe. The sunlight caught in the yellow flecks dancing in her ice blue eyes. Her thin lips stretched into a smile that was both beautiful and menacing. Care to join the party?

Xavier still hadn't moved, standing there in his grey/black attire, his cape flowing freely behind him with his dark rustic menacing helmet firmly on his head. he slowly looked to the mysterious lady, the only part of his face that could be seen was his piercing menacing tainted by the dark side yellow eyes. He remains vocally silent as he is a mute, but instead attempts to talk to the lady through the force. A deep echoing voice is what would be heard if she truely listened.

"I have history with the jedi..many years ago." Xavier returns to looking at the enclave.

"Nothing would please me more than to crush the jedi and their dogmatic views. To wipe them off the face of this decrepid galaxy would please this dark heart of mine.." Xavier stated with a tone of anger whilst Bree'ah remained silent looking at the ground.

"Her name is Bree'ah..she is my slave and servant to the force." Xavier would look back slowly to the mysterious lady. "And i am Xavier Libertas.. Jedi Master....of the darkside."

[Meira]

Ah, he couldn't speak. Renata heard the man's words in her mind as clearly as if they had been spoken aloud. The man explained that he had history with the Jedi. Renata nodded her head. He then confirmed that he too sought to destroy the Jedi. Again she nodded. Lastly the man introduced his slave and himself. Renata barely gave the female a glance before returning her gaze to Xavier.

Slavery. She never understood how one could allow them self to sink so low. Some had tried, more than once to make a slave of the girl Renata used to be. But would not be so. She did not allow it, would never allow it. As far as she was concerned, allowing one's self to be a slave was allowing one's self to be nothing.

Renata tilted her head, however, when Xavier gave his title. You detest the Jedi, yet you continue to use the title? She didn't understand that about the Dark Jedi. When she cast aside her ties to the Order, the title went with it. She never called herself a Dark Jedi. She had been searching for something more. No matter. She said, waiving off the topic as if it were a bothersome insect. My master can rid you of that.

She then straightened herself up, lifting her chin and looking this Xavier straight in the eye. He has already done so for me. I am Renata, Dark Lady of this Sith. The last words snaked from her lips and she allowed them to hand in the air for a moment. Yes, Sith. True followers of the Sith ways had died out hundreds of years ago. But one had risen again. My master is Darth Iniquitous, Dark Overlord of the Sith. He is the first in hundreds of years. He seeks to bring true peace and order to the galaxy. I have been seen to collect those who would pledge their service to him.

Her words stopped there. They were spoken with the power and authority known only to those who were truly Sith. This Xavier might call himself a master of the dark side, but he knew only the darkness of rejecting the Jedi. Sith knew a deeper darkness that held much more power. Through her master's teachings, Renata had started her journey into the heart of that Darkness.

Will you follow?

[Iota]

"I thought as much." Xavier proclaimed, showing no signs of emotion to the word sith. He simply just waved the comment off.

"I shall join this..brother hood of darkness.. that your master soughts after...you could use my......skills.... if you wish to beat the jedi, for it will take more than a few swings of your lightsaber and sparks of lightning." Xavier looks down to Bree'ah then back to Reneta.

"is there a meeting place? i wish to meet this master of yours." Xavier non-chalantly wipes some dust from his shoulder.

[Meira]

Renata studied Xavier for a moment, one eyebrow raising slightly. No passion, as if he hadn't a care at all. Arrogance? Perhaps, but Renata didn't care about such things. This man would find his place soon enough. He'd also find that his... skills, were just scraping the surface. But she didn't feel like lecturing. She really wasn't one for words in any case.

So instead, her hand opened a pouch on her belt. From it she took a small object. It was round and smooth and fit in the palm of her hand. She held out her hand, the object resting on top of it. Take this. When the time comes, I will contact you and all the others I have gathered for my master.

Renata's eyes broke from Xavier's as she looked down at the com-unit. Through the force, she lifted it into the air. Her eyes then moved to connect with the slaves. The com-unit followed and settled on the ground in front of her. Renata continued to look into the eyes of the slave for a moment before turning back to Xavier.

You may call yourself a master. But know that once you come into the service of Darth Iniquitous, that title will mean nothing. You will be what he deems you worthy to be. Her eyes flashed dangerously for a moment and then she smiled. Without another word, Renata turned, her robe catching in the air making an arc before settling back down around her. We'll keep in touch. She said over her shoulder in an airy, sing-song tone as she walked away. There was another pull in the force on this planet, and she was not about to waste her time with small talk. Xavier would come when she called. Her work here was done.

[Iota]

Xavier remained cross armed, he simply raised a slight eyebrow.

"Delusions of a biased mind... I don't dream of grandure..I am a realist.." Xavier would state. "i can see what he sees in you" Xavier nodded slightly. "But like all sith.. you will be betrayed or you will betray your master.. it is inevitable..it IS the way of the Dark side after all"

Bree'ah looks at the communication device before picking it up and pocketing it.

"Until we meet again..mere apprentice" Xavier would smile slightly before turning and walking towards his ship, he would click his fingers to beckon Bree'ah.

[Jerek]

Jerek blocked another swipe of the Jedi's blue lightsaber. Then, he flipped clean over the Knight. He brought his lightsaber down in midair over the Jedi. His yellow blade made a direct cut ascross the Jedi's neck. "Worm!" Jerek landed behind the Jedi as his head toppled to the hard metal floor bellow. Jerek summoned the dead man's weapon to his side. He tossed it straight up, making a swipe at it with his own lightsaber. The handle split in two. They landed with two loud thuds in front of him. Then, there were two giant jolts from the Force around Jerek that about made him topple over.

He gathered himself, switching off his lightsaber. Were these life forms Dark Jedi or more Jedi? Jerek had to know. He waved his hand through the air at his forgotten robe, then he saw it in the reflective metal wall in front of him. A black sphere hovering just inside the door. It must've seen the whole fight. Jerek slipped his robe around himself, then walked up to the droid. "May I help you, droid?" The droid turned and began to fly away.

It must have wanted Jerek to follow, which he did, Erael following behind Jerek. Jerek was right behind the droid all the way back through the cave. Then, they exited on a grassy null. Jerek continued to follow it. He stopped behind the recon droid. It flew to the side of a figure in black robes. Jerek concentrated. This figure was a Dark Jedi, a female Dark Jedi in fact. "Hello, there," Jerek sent through the Force. His yellow eyes stared at the unknown woman. His right hand was hovering over his lightsaber hilt, ready for another fight. Jerek suddenly felt a weight over his shoulder. He had forgotten that he was carrying the dead Jedi.

He tossed the headless body aside. It rolled behind Jerek, crunching the grass underneath its weight.

(Forget Erael, I'll catch him up! This okay?)

She moved quickly and silently across the landscape, her robe fluttering behind her, until she could sense the center of the ripple she had felt moving toward her. She stopped and decided to let this being come to her instead. Soon enough, the familiar shape of one of her recon droids came into view, closely followed by two figures.

As they neared, the droid floated over to its master, its repulsor lifts putting off a rhythmic hum. Renata smiled and stroked the underside of the droid with her thin index finger. You've done well my pet. She cooed softly to the droid. Go on back to the ship with your brother. The droid noiselessly obeyed and Renata turned her attention to the two sentients who had just arrived close enough for speaking.

She heard the man's greeting and wondered idly to herself if anyone actually spoke on this planet. She dismissed the thought as quickly as it came and raised an eyebrow as the man dropped a headless corpse to the ground. A quick glance at the corpse's clothes identified that it had once been a Jedi. Well, well, well. This man was very interesting.

Greetings. She said, her voice fluid and sweet, giving only a hint of the power her slim figure belied. Her eyes did not miss the man's hand as it seemed to wait for an excuse to grip his lightsaber. She understood that. She too felt that her blades were part of her, a part that satisfied her more... bloody impulses.

But there was a time and place for everything, and Renata was not here to fight and kill, as fun as that sounded, she was here to do her master's bidding.

Renata closed her eyes and breathed in deeply through her nose, as if taking in the man's scent. A smile spread across her lips as she began to speak. There is darkness in you. She said, as her blue eyes, flecked with her own share of bright yellow, connected with his dark yellow orbs.

She then looked to the younger one that followed behind the man. He too had been tainted, but like the slave of Xavier, she spared him little more than a glance before her eyes continued downward to the lifeless body that had once been a Jedi. A good, clean kill. She said, as if the life that had been extinguished was no more than a creature hunted for sport. Her eyes traveled back to the man's. We share an enemy in the Jedi. What is your name?

[Jerek]

"Oh, yes, I can speak," Jerek said, sensing the woman's ponderings and accusations. "And, yes, quite a bit of darkness resides within me. Beheading the enemy shows respect. Even as as a Dark Being of the Force, I still must show respect when it is do, and this Jedi showed courage taking my apprentice, Erael, and I on in the middle of a training session." Jerek scowled a little, thinking about the Jedi's attack. The battle was over so quickly. Jerek merely had to find an opening in the Jedi's attack, which he did.

"Oh yes, we both hate the Jedi. I had a short history with them, but cast them aside upon meeting my old Dark Master named Fiin. My name is Jerek Kahn. And, yours would be?" Jerek's black hair was ruffled in the low winds that blew over the plains of Dantooine. Jerek dropped his hand, figuring the woman meant no harm, but not dropping his guard. In an instant Jerek could summon the weapon to his aid, if need be.

He stepped forward. "If you watch the little 'show' one of your droids got, you'll be able to see the short battle I had with the Jedi." He continued to look into the woman's slightly yellow tainted blue eyes. Jerek flashed a glance at a nearby hilltop. "Who was the other Force being I sensed besides you? A Dark one, I hope?"

[Meira]

Renata chuckled softly as the man confirmed that he could, indeed, speak. Well, lovely or him. She waited as he spoke, confirming her observations, adding a few comments of his own, and introducing himself. Renata gave a respectful bow of her head when he did.

When he was done and had asked a question of his own, Renata smiled as she responded. Him? She said with a smile and a laugh that sounded like running water. She looked over her shoulder back the way she had come. That was Xavier Libertas, and he is tainted indeed. Sh said, and then waived the matter off as if it were a pesky insect. She then returned her gaze to meet Jerek's. And I am Renata, Dark Lady of the Sith. I am here on behalf of my master, Darth Iniquitous, the Dark Overlord of the Sith.

She began to walk in a circular path around Jerek, her eyes never breaking from his. We seek those who would join us in destroying the Jedi and bring true peace and order to the galaxy. Her words ended as she reached the Jedi corpse. She looked down and with the toe of her right foot, she rolled the body over. Their notion of peace is a lie. She said, spitting the words as if they tasted foul. Her features has contoured with the words, making her beautiful face seem suddenly cruel and twisted. But in an instant, her face had returned to its passive beauty. In a fluid motion, she took a com-unit from the pouch on her belt. Care to join us? She asked, a smile dawning her face again as she held out the com.

[Jerek]

"A pleasure to meet a lady of the Sith. And, yes, I know the Jedi's futile attempts at 'peace' is nothing but a lie wrapped in more lies about the Force being your ally. The Force is something you utilize for your own, to do what you wish with it. It is a weapon." Jerek's yellow eyes scanned the plain they were standing upon slowly. He met the woman's eyes again as she circled around Jerek. His hand tightened, ready. Then, she extracted a com-unit from her inner robes.

"Yes, I shall join you. I have but one request. You allow my apprentice and I to travel with you or at east help you on your journeys to gather other Dark Beings of the Force. It would do Erael good to see a true Dark One at work like yourself, Lady Renata." Jerek caught the com-unit as it sailed from Renata's hand to his. Jerek glanced at the woman's waist. She held two lightsabers. "Teach me the dual-wield technique of Lightsaber Combat."

His black robes rippled in the wind, revealing his black vambraces. Then he got lost within his own mind for a moment. He glanced down at his battered lightsaber hilt. It was time to make a new one. Very well, Jerek thought to himself, leaving his mind an impenetrable wall. He didn't need anyone reading his mind through the Force. He had to keep them secret until he met this "Darth Iniquitous". Jerek knew that "Darth" was a Sith title. He learned that as a Jedi Padawan. The thought of the past almost made Jerek vomit from disgust.

(I think either of these will be Jerek's new hilt, and I'll either make the blade red or dark yellow... Perhaps even black? I named the hilts. XD)

Renata gave a slight tilt of her head, acknowledging Jerek's words. Her smile then widened as he divulged his views of the force. She had once spoken very similar words to Veratos. He had assured her that the Force did indeed have a will, and she had submitted to that fact. But she still held strongly that there were those who worked within the will of the force, focusing on philosophy and more mental aspects, and then there were those who used the force, like herself and this Jerek.

I see that we are of the same mind. She said in response to his words. Jerek then affirmed that he would join and serve Iniquitous. But he also made a request. Renata's head tilted to the side, intrigued. She considered his words for a moment, her eyes traveling to Jerek's young apprentice who stood only a foot or two away from her. She smiled at the boy, a smile that was both warm and cold as ice. How can I deny a child his education? She said before looking back to Jerek, who then made another request. He wished to learn the intricate art of duel wield. Her smile changed to one of self-satisfaction.

She turned and took a few steps away, up the slope of a hill, so that when she turned back, she stood slightly above the two. Very well. You shall travel with me as we gather those who would serve my master. Her eyes looked to Erael. You will continue to heed your master's command, but you shall also heed mine. Her eyes then turned to Jerek. You are not my apprentice, but you shall follow my orders while you travel with me. Your master is Darth Iniquitous and until you come to his presence, I shall act as his voice. I do not know how much training we can do as we travel. Our mission takes precedence. But do not despair, the time to train will come.

And with that, Renata turned with a flourish of her robe and began to lead the way back to the ship. Their addition might prove useful. Her master would be pleased with the speed with which she gathered his followers.

((Those lightsabers look pretty cool. I've been trying, and failing, to find some good picks for Renata's. Oh well. Anywho... I have plans with Iota to be ambushed as Renata gets back to the ship. Xavier is sending his twi'lek slave to attack Renata. I will as that you do not interfere, but you may watch of course. And so... cue Bree'ah!))

The wind had calmed, silence filled the landscape of the area. The rustles of a few bushes and the stomping of a herd of kath hounds in the distance is all that occupied the senses of the nearby force users.

Bree'ah waited patiently in the brush near Reneta's ship, she lay uncompromised, her heart beating slowly as she focused her senses and became one with her surroundings. Still, the silence remained except for the foot steps in the distance, Bree'ah knew she was coming. with an entourage too. she thought to her self "ah, i will kill them all.. make master happy!"

Bree'ah laid in wait, ready to pounce. Reneta all but 20 feet away. This was her chance, her chance to prove her worth to her master. Bree'ah used the force to propell herself 30 odd feet into the air, she managed to pull off some impressive display of acrobatics before finally igniting her purple lightsaber and lunging at Reneta with a strike headed downwards on to Reneta.

[Jerek]

Two things happened simultaneously. Jerek felt a Force Being leap out, and something purple appeared out of the corner of his eye. He gather himself, getting into his stance. He reached his lightsaber, pulling it up level with his chest. In a flash of yellow light, his lightsaber ignited. He held it vertically, preparing for a fight. He turned to face the direction of the purple light. It was a girl wielding a lightsaber, and she was coming down on Renata.

((Iota has given me permission to take control of Bree'ah for this lil' fight so long as I don't kill her))

Renata had to admit that she had let her guard down slightly. She was focusing on the two walking behind her, that she didn't notice the the eagerness from the slave girl as she waited to ambush them. Well, no matter. This foolish slave would soon know that she had bit off more than she could chew.

Renata stopped as the slave Bree'ah jumped into the air. As she performed her acrobatics, Renata held her arms wide, her eyes never moving, and allowed the wind to pull her outer robe off of her skeletal figure. She then summoned her slightsabers to her hands through the force. They ignited instantly as they touched her hands, flashing brilliant yellow. She sensed that Jerek had also drawn his weapon. Just enjoy the show. She said through the force, her eyes glancing up as the twi'lek came down above her.

Renata blocked the blow easily enough, spinning to the right as the twi'lek landed. As she spun, she brought her long saber down to strike across Bree'ah's back. The twi'lek blocked the blow with her blade behind her, and then spun to slash Renata diagonally down across the throat. This blow was also blocked, by Renata's shorter blade. Is Xavier so afraid that he sends his pet to do his dirty work? She mocked with a poisonous smile before sweeping her long blade to cut the slave girl in half.

Bree'ah had to jump backwards to avoid the strike. I will prove my worth to my master by killing you all! She said as she drew her purple blade upwards to deliver a powerful downward strike to Renata's head. Crossing her sabers above her head, Renata caught the strike and held it there as she leaned in close to the twi'lek's face. You have no worth, slave. She said, throwing the girl back.

Bree'ah stumbled, but regained her balance. Breathing heavily, her eyes grew cold as Renata circled closer, her laughter ringing in the suddenly silent air. Bree'ah's anger grew with every note and with a desperate cry of rage, she charged again, her violet blade ripping through the air as she brandished at Renata.

Renata moved backward as the slave moved forward, blocking each blow as if she were swatting away insects. She allowed the girl to come closer and closer, and then, at the right moment, Renata swept one blade low, causing Bree'ah to jump over them. As she did. Renata turned her other hand so that the back of her lightsaber connected with Bree'ah's nose. The twi'lek let out a yelp of pain and sunk to one knee as she landed. Renata kicked the lightsaber from the stunned slave's hand and then crossed her blades in front of Bree'ah's neck.

Renata took in a deep breath, biting her lip as if she felt pleasure in the moment. You see, my dear. You are no match for the Sith. Now where is your master? I'm sure he will be quite upset with your behavior. Her eyes flashed, the flecks of yellow seeming to grow brighter as she drank in the fear from the pathetic whelp before her.

[Iota]

Xavier watched on from the bushes, he was using his art of the small technique to remain hidden from the force users nearby. He was watching Bree'ah in what he knew was a suicide mission but he wanted to see for himself if this dark lady had any type of useful skills. He watched on in what can only be some kind of warped happyness as Bree'ah was beat. He moved out from the bushes and "deactivated" his art of the small technique. he walked towards Bree'ah and Reneta clapping his hands slowly. Before speaking to the group through the force.

"Well done.. you have entertained me and shown me that you can bark and bite.. too many dark siders i see these days who are all mouth..good to see you can back it up... but of course..Bree'ah is nothing compared to people like you and i."

Xavier walked towards Bree'ah before stopping about 6 feet away, Bree'ah lowered her head.

"i'm...i'm...sorry master..i failed you.." Bree'ah admitted. Xavier stared at Bree'ah through his helmet, his eyes a piercing yellow colour that glowed from with in his helmet.

"No, you have failed yourself... I knew you would lose... i sentenced you to death..you are weak..you always have been. Clutching at me like a child, you are pathetic. I used you ..used you from the first moment i met you. I corrupted you, decieved you..have you learnt nothing?!" Xavier's "voice" in the force was getting louder, his advanced telepathic skills in motion, Bree'ah clutched at her ears as if there was a loud noise.

"And now you will...die..." Xavier clutches both hands making them into fists. Sparks of lightning shooting out from his hands at first, then jumping from one hand to the next. Xavier raised his hands in Bree'ah's direction and opened his clentched fists, Several forks of lightning strike out at Bree'ah, she is flung several feet away as she is in a fit like state. Xavier walked over to her and continued the torture. He stopped just at the right time not to kill her.

"Do you really think you could kill this Dark Lady..you are a fool..but i thank you for your services..." Xavier raised his right arm and had his hand open using force choke on Bree'ah, she starts to gurgle. Using the force he lifts Bree'ah into the air, about 4 feet above the ground. Bree'ah tried to spurt out her last words.

"Mas..Mas..Master.......Xavier.....i...i..i..i love..you" and with that said, Xavier twisted his hand to the left, Bree'ah's neck following suit and snaps clean.
