Name: Kira Drenner
Race: Human
Age: 26
Birthplace: Coruscant
Allegiance: Republic
Status: Intelligence Operative
Rank: Special Agent
Height/Weight: 5'8'' / 147 lbs
Appearance: Standing at 5 feet 8, Kira is few inches taller than the Galactic average for human female and something of a head turner. The combination of good genes and an active lifestyle have given her an athletic and lean frame with wiry definition, which when combined with the confidence she usually carries herself creates a quite striking image. Kira has black, naturally straight hair which she usually keeps long but tied to a ponytail or into a bun to keep it out of the way.
When it comes to clothes, Kira prefers pragmatic but flattering. Usually this means well fitting clothes that show off her best features but that don't particularly stand out of the crowd.
Personality: Kira is a hard person to get a definite read on: on one hand she is relatively warm and even friendly person with a playful streak. She is social and capable of getting along with most people as long as it is clear that there are some subjects she won't talk about. When it comes to her background and some other personal matters, Kira is far from open. Generally, when confronted with questions she doesn't wish to answer, she will either avoid the question with a lie (believable if she doesn't trust or like her current company, otherwise she will give an obviously false answer), refuse to answer or in some other way dodge and dance around the question until its dropped.
Catching Kira on a lie is difficult. Trained as an infiltrator by the SIS, she has undergone a rigorous training on various forms of subterfuge, which, when combined with her natural charisma, make her skilled at deception. Taking on cover ids is a second nature to her, to point that she occasionally wonders if she herself is just another cover on an empty shell.
On the job Kira is determined and possesses the ability to be surprisingly cold and calculating. While out on a mission, the only thing that ultimately matters to her is completing the mission at hand. If she has limits that she isn't willing to cross in the line of duty, she has yet to find them. To Kira all means are fair in the service of the Republic and no sacrifice is too great.

Biography: 'Kira Drenner' isn't the name Kira was born under. It's merely the cover she was assigned after graduating the SIS NOC program. She was born Moira Kord on Coruscant to Jace and Lena Kord. Her mother was an officer with the Coruscant Security Force while her father was in the Republic Army special forces. For a few years they were a relatively normal family. Jace was away a lot but kept in touch as much he could. His absence occasionally strained the family but never beyond a loud argument between him and Lena and things begun to look even better when Jace promised to apply for a transfer to a less dangerous post, like training special forces recruits or something similar. However, things didn't go according to plan.
When Kira was two, her mother was shot while on routine patrol in a calm neighborhood. She and her partner responded to a robbery in progress and were jumped by two surprisingly well armed burglars high on spices. Lena took a blaster bolt to the gut and died of her injuries before help reached her.
The death of her hit Kira hard, though as she grew older, she had trouble remembering the time. All she could say for sure was that growing up without a mother left her with a hole that she could never really fill or cover up, at least not when it came to herself. She could remember that his father took it even worse than she had. She couldn't, or wouldn't, remember the details but she remembered him dropping her at friends place and then disappearing for a week. He wouldn't talk about what happened during that week and Kira never pressed for answers. She wasn't sure she wanted to know.
Following Lena's death, Jace left the army and sought work on the private sector. As an ex-special forces soldier he had no difficulties finding work in corporate security for a large biochemistry corporation. It was a good job, great even for someone in Jace's situation. Hours were regular, the pay good and there was no immediate danger associated with it. Kira liked her dad's new job also because it let him be home more. She still occasionally got the feeling that her dad missed the army life.
The next eight or so years rolled on relatively normally for Kira. She went to school while dad punched in at the job. She was a bright student, not a brilliant but smart enough to maintain a good average grades. The family life was a bit irregular on account Jace having to work nightshifts every now and then but on the whole things were fine: he was home much more than he had been when in the army and spent much of his spare time with Kira. Then, one night, everything went to pieces.
Kira never learnt the exact details, but one night, or rather very early morning, her father returned home extremely agitated and began to pack in a hurry. When Kira asked what was going on, all she got was an order to pack up. Nothing spare. Only essentials and valuables that could be sold off later. Any protest and questions Kira made were answered with growing frustrated anger from her father. In the end she, along with what possessions she could carry, ended up in the family speeder and sped off to the night.
Later, after checking into a hotel under a fake name, her father finally calmed down enough to give Kira an explanation. He has seen something he shouldn't have in work and quickly figured that the corp he was working for wasn't the kind that would take chances at being blackmailed or losing revenue and reputation to an employee getting a sudden case of morals. According to him, it was more than likely that there was already a contract hovering over his head, meaning he had to vanish and her with him. Otherwise they'd go after her to get to him. This was the only way he could be sure Kira was safe. When Kira asked why couldn't they go to the cops Jace explained that a) he didn't have any evidence beyond what he had seen with his own eyes and b) bribing a cop was far too easy. The only way he could feasibly attack the corporation was by going public and making enough noise to get some form of investigation launched but that would have painted a big red target on his, and by extension on Kira's, back. No, it was better to just hide until the whole thing blew over. That turned out to take longer than expected.
They chose to hide on Coruscant where Kira's father had a bunch of old contacts he could use to stay tuned on what was going on regarding the price on his head. They did still purchase several tickets off the planet and then asked one of Jace's contacts to hack into the traffic records and change them to look like they had boarded every single one of them, hoping to throw off any bounty hunters. They stayed on the move, never settling to one place for longer than was necessary and changing ids once a year or so. Soon any hopes of corporation giving up anytime soon became a distant hope. It soon became apparent that Kira's father's old employer didn't do loose ends; the bounty would be hanging over Jace's head until someone claimed it.
The next seven years passed following a routine procedure. After leaving one are, Kira and her father would move to a next one with new id and rent a cheap apartment. Kira would then enroll to the local school and stay there for the semester after which they would once again move. The constant moving harmed Kira's grades and made sure that she didn't really make any lasting friendships but on the upside she became adept at adapting to new social environments fluently. At home his father had also begun to give her fighting lessons, figuring that if they ever were caught they would have better chances of survival if Kira could take care of herself and by the time she turned 17 she was quite proficient fighter for her age, able to give her father a run for his money while sparring.
Just before Kira's 18th birthday the bounty hunters finally caught their trail and tracked them down to their then current location. While at school Kira received a single message from her dad: 'Run'. She knew what it meant and immediately skipped the rest of the day to retrieve a cache of credits and documents her father always hid somewhere in the surrounding area for emergencies. She then headed for the residence of one of Jace's old army buddies, a Twi'lek named Limil, with whom her father had had an arrangement in case something happened to him. There Kira learned what happened to her father through a news report talking about a shooting that had taken place around their home. Four deaths were reported, among them Kira's father.
For the next several months Kira was completely adrift. She had no idea what to do with her life or how to deal with her father's fate. The only reason she didn't quit school and board next freighter off Coruscant was because Limil made sure she didn't get the chance. The Twi'lek might not have been prepared to be a guardian but he did his best and it was enough. Kira stayed in school long enough to get her secondary education finished. After that she was faced with the hard choice of deciding what to do. She couldn't afford higher education, so getting a job was the only option she could see. Limil managed to convince her to consider enlisting and so, few weeks after her graduation she entered the nearest recruitment office and got herself a ticket to the Army boot camp.
Although she did have some problems adjusting to the army discipline, Kira did very well in basic training. She was a motivated learner and the training her father had given her gave her a considerable leg up compared to other recruits. She also got along with everyone in her unit. Towards the end of his basic training she was earmarked for leadership training but she never got that far.
Few days before the end of basic training Kira was approached by SIS recruiters. The intelligence agency had been notified by Limil that Kira was someone worth keeping an eye on. SIS had taken a look at Kira's background and observed her during the basic training and reached the conclusion that she was a decent fit for a new non-official cover operative program they had just initiated in response to the expansion of the Imperial Intelligence. She had no family to speak of, had a basic skill set compatible with the training SIS had in mind and best of all, due to years spent in hiding with his father she had a considerably smaller paper trail than most other people and could thus be easily scrubbed from the system. Kira was hesitant at first but the recruiters knew what they were doing. They knew where to push to get the right reaction, how to appeal to her convictions and family background. In the end Kira agreed and few days later she was shipped off to the SIS training.
The combat training part SIS training wasn't too dissimilar from the basic training, only far more intense and less concerned about pushing the recruits to their limits. It also narrowed its focus to a smaller area, namely close quarters combat, easily concealable weapons and unconventional weapons. In addition to combat the recruits were also taught tradecraft and subterfuge: things like how dead drops worked, how to avoid detection in a crowd, how to stick to a cover story and many other things an intelligence operative was bound to need. Kira took to all of it naturally. Many of the things taught to her resonated with the skills she had learned while on the run with her father, making them less challenging to learn for her and she was easily among the best recruits in her batch.
Following her graduation from training, Kira was deployed on Muunilist with orders to get in good with a son of a high ranking officer in the Imperial Intelligence. She did just so and for the next year and a half she spent playing the part of a devoted girlfriend, using her position as such to send lots of valuable information to the SIS. She was forced to flee when the Imperial Security's counter intelligence department began looking into a suspected leak surrounding her 'boyfriend's' father. Her handler decided that it was better to pull her out than risk capture at such point.
Before Kira could be deployed again, the war broke out and for the last four years she has spent in various SIS operations designed to help the Republic war effort through intel gathering and sabotage operations.
Some time ago Kira was given orders to make contact with Daantoine Liberation Army under the SIS initiative to survey and evaluate the various resistance movements popping up on Imperial occupied worlds for possible Republic support. She infiltrated the planet on board of a smuggler ship, under the guise of a daughter of a Daantoinian farmer looking for her father who'd gone missing after the Sith occupation. It took a few weeks of careful inquiries to establish find a DLA recruiter and some time more to pass the vetting process. From there onward she's been working with the resistance movement, though she is yet to reveal her actual identity.
Roleplay Sample: The damn alarm was blaring so hard that Kira had trouble hearing her own thoughts as she scurried onwards, hugging the chest high durasteel wall between her and the Imperial soldiers firing at her as tightly as she could. The whole op had been a tap dance through a minefield from the get go and from the looks of it things were only going to get worse in the immediate future. If she made it out of here, she was seriously going to strangle Rivik with her bare hands. 'Oh it'll be an easy job, don't worry. You'll be in and out before they even have a chance to notice something's wrong.' Yah right.
The operation had gone pear shaped five minutes into its beginning. The intel on enemy patrol routes was so off that it was approaching accurate from the opposite direction. Kira had avoided detection only by sheer luck; some big animal she hadn't seen for the darkness and trees had distracted the imps long enough for her to slip past them and made it to the compound's perimeters which was protected by an energy fence that wasn't supposed to be there. It was at that point Kira had begun to wonder just what they were paying Rivik for. Getting past the fence had taken some creativity but after some fiddling with one of the pylons producing the wall, she had managed to short it out for just long enough to slip past it.
For the next couple of minutes things had gone smoothly, relatively speaking. Kira had navigated the enemy compound which fortunately seemed to adhere to the blueprints she had memorized beforehand, at least mostly. There were couple of smaller, new looking buildings that hadn't been in the plans she had read. The number of enemy patrols inside the compound also seemed to be greater than the estimated. Had something happened to cause an upgrade in the amount of security? Maybe but it hadn't mattered at that moment. She was there to download compound's comm. array's records which were supposed to contain plethora of information on the Imperial Fleet's movements. Everything else was secondary.
The moment she had known that things were about to go irreparably wrong was when she pushed the comm. array's door and it just slid open. Instead of the one lonely operator that was supposed to be on duty in there, Kira was greeted by three Imperial Security Agents. She had recognized them from the equipment they were carrying and from the speed at which they slammed down the general alarm button before opening fire. It was either a bloody set up or then there had been some really big and sudden development the SIS was completely oblivious of. In either case she was knee deep in trouble now.
A second group of Imperial soldiers poured out of one of the buildings. Just great. Soon they'd be in a perfect position to flank her. If she didn't come up with something creative, she'd be toast within moments. Then she spotted the heavy assault speeder parked across the courtyard.
