Name: Cossner Edge
Race: Human
Age: 32
Birthplace: Mandalore
Allegiance: Standalone.
Status: Former Prisoner
Rank: N/A
Height/Weight: 6’0” and 180 lbs
Appearance: Trim and lean, but certainly not shredded due to lack of actual movement in prison for the last five years, Cossner also has lacked sunlight for the past several years, so is incredibly pale. Now clean-shaven and with a military-style haircut, Cossner doesn’t appear to be a former Mandalore citizen.
Personality: While Cossner enjoys interacting with humans, and especially enjoys a party atmosphere, he detests Droids and Hutts for the last five years of his life. Cossner has no feelings towards other Aliens, which is why he had no qualm as a thief in the past. He’s a sucker for the females, although has no interest in ever falling in love again.
Ships/Vehicles: Currently owns no ships or vehicles.
Equipment: Cossner’s equipment has all been removed from him after his imprisoment. He particularly prefers cycler rifles for the recoil, and Ion Weapons towards Droids.

Biography: Born on Mandalore as the son of a Locksmith (Father) and a Mandalore Jeweler, Cossner lived a blue collar life on Mandalore and was heavily influenced by their aggressive behaviors. Never one to dominate a fight, Cossner was more to influence others or sabotage to get his way. While going through school, Cossner would only connect with his family while they were working, and quickly grew knowledge of locks, metals, and enjoyed helping out. At school, Cossner never really cared for education, but was heavily involved in social activities, and was able to start a gambling ring until it was later shut down by the school. Gambling would later lead Cossner to Keldabe (Mandalore Capital City) in which he would create a Locksmith business of his own, and would party and gamble at night. Cossner later worked his way into Taris at the age of 20, with promise of a more interesting life as he was still single, and there wasn’t much for him to do in Mandalore.
Cossner had a terrific life in Taris as he was quick to start his own locksmith company (he would do illegal operations through closed door meetings), and showed great success in gambling. He even found love in a Coruscant-girl named Lyric. However, Cossner’s luck came to a halt, and led to some trouble with the Bossna Hutt organization that quickly exposed his Backdoor Thieving Operations when he wasn’t able to return a debt in a proper amount of time. Cossner was arrested without aggression, and sent to a Dathomir prison for ten years. Bossna arranged that he be put into isolation. The only interaction that Cossner would have in his Dathomir sentence would be with mindless droids. Cossner never got to apologize or say good bye to Lyric, something he would frequently think about in prison. He also hoped that Bossna would still be alive for revenge.
On Dathomir, Cossner grew an intense hatred for droids as they could choose when to respond to his needs. Cossner never saw a human, but was fed enough nutrients to remain healthy. Cossner would go slightly mad from time to time without any true interaction. Costner’s life was a 250 sq ft slab with options to write, remain clean, and eat. After two years of study, Cossner was able to detect a flaw in the security system that was powered by ion pulses. He used that to disable a droid that would deliver food, but escape was stopped by security droids, and Cossner was quickly returned.
Cossner’s luck would return on a fateful day five years into his sentence in which a massive ion blast from afar had shut down the prison system. Cossner was able to use residing ions in the security system to break from his cell, and pass through the security droids. Cossner would later hide in a freight ship and remain hidden for two weeks until power returned to the prison system, and the freight planet took him to Ord Mantell. Many other prisoners died in isolation from starvation, and due to this, the discovery that Cossner had escaped wasn’t revealed for several months. From here, Cossner kept a low profile, by working for a locksmith, and avoiding criminal syndicates. The plan would be to return to Mandalore. There was enough criminal behavior on Ord Mantell, that it was quite easy for him to find a place to stay and forge identification. He used the name Ly Ric.
Roleplay Sample:
Sitting at his usual lunch spot, Cossner heard a group discussing the news of Mandalore the Reclaimer freeing worlds and causing Taris to have extra Republic occupation.
Taris, there’s a memory. Cossner had thought about Taris almost every day for the past five years, but this may very well have been the first time he heard it uttered by someone else. Lyric was in Taris, most likely married, or at the least, moved on from her time with Cossner. For Cossner, it was the best time of his life. Now? Always with the fear of being discovered for escaping Dathomir Prison five years early.
He didn’t want to think on this any further, and went back to work. He would visit two locked ships and open them up. Boring. He couldn’t stop thinking about Taris and Lyric. He left work early, and decided to go to an Ord Mantell casino, the first time he had stepped in one since Taris. The dark lighting, the sound of the machines, the cheering or jeering from the betters… He had missed this greatly.
Fifty credits, child’s play, he cashed out, and sat at a Sabacc table to spend the night. He quickly turned it into three hundred credits, much to the dismay of a Twi’lek named Loku. Loku was one of those Twi’lek that would be butthurt about the loss of a hundred credits, a rookie at gambling. Cossner wasn’t going to handle this and left the casino to go home. AT least he had forgotten about his past for a bit. Of course, Loku was following him. Cossner knew a fight would be inevitable, and was never a good fighter. He would have to get something to his advantage.
What a waste of the three hundred credits.
Cossner headed straight to a shop and purchased a vibroblade that he would hide in his sleeve. Of course, Loku, the cowards that Cossner thought all Twi’lek were, remained outside and a block away. He would wait until Cossner got into an isolated area to attack. Predictable. Of course, Loku was also drunk, another disadvantage, so Cossner said he should make his move quick. He purchased some food, and left the shop, heading straight into an alleyway. Loku gained ground, and was ready to pounce.
