Once a favored adviser and pawn to Darth Iniquitous, High Minister Pontellis now serves under Empress Renata. He is a well known industrialist, often considered responsible for many of the Empire's most recent innovations in automation and droid technology. His modest and quiet nature has allowed him to garner a degree of autonomy in his work, causing him to be easily overlooked by his superiors. High Minister Pontellis has served the Empire faithfully for nearly half a century, and now grows troubled in the presence of the self-proclaimed Empress. He feels the usurper is unfit for the Emperor's throne, and that she will undoubtedly drive the Empire into ruin with her advocacy of peace with the Republic. The provisions of the ceasefire with the Republic has forced him to abandon several major technological projects that would have likely turned the tides of the war in the Empire's favor. The abandonment of his vision for inevitable victory has made him increasingly willing to take matters into his own hands, as he feels a more worthy Sith - a Sith more akin to the ferocity of Darth Iniquitous - would be more worthy to lead the Empire.
