Watching Aiden walk into the room he's not some one your going to take a second look at our of fear or intimidation. Although taking a double take at him for his boyish good looks and broad careless smile or grin when he's feeling devious, is an entirely different story. A always cleanly shaven face and attentive green eyes help add to the his boyish charm. Although childish in appearance, Aiden is wracked with wiry muscle usually going unseen from underneath his clothing In terms of fashion Aiden can usually be found rocking a suit in atleast some sense. Most people know the old saying. If you look good you feel good and Aiden is a very firm believer in such sayings. Although suits aren't always suitable now are they? When not wearing his suits he'll usual adapt to his environment wearing whatever will suit him the best. A casual walk? a slim fit shirt, a pair of pants and a average pair of shoes. Thinking of getting in a scuffle? why not wear some lightweight armor that won't hinder any movements. So on and so forth. Sometimes it gets to the point of annoying but some think that it just adds to his charm. Being as he is can probably be narrowed down three reasons. One because why the hell can't he be happy? Secondly if your life starts off in the underbelly of society then you need something to lighten the mood right? Thirdly naivety is a strange thing... For living where he has Aiden is still at heart and appearance still a child. Lacking any real parental figure in his life he's really had to mold what he is by himself. Only having yourself to really talk to and question is not usually a recipe for success now is it? Although he has been able to pick traits from those around him and learn how to talk with others even if it does come out a bit awkward at first his own special charm may rub off on you at some point. Oh and let's not forget his reckless ambition. Coming from nothing can have very different effects on people. Some choose to accept their fate losing themselves to the same things their parents lost to... Then there are those who have Aiden's state of mind. The people who look at their condition and meet it with a wicked grin and their fist. The ones who climb out of that pit that they where born in. To Aiden he'll do what it takes get ahead and get away from the nothingness he was born to. Overall History • -Your Average Love Story- If your looking for a story starting with a pair of soulmate lover having their first child and loving one another more than life it's self then try some where else. Aiden was the product of lust and nothing else. His father Dram was on Balosar probably selling some thing that made a big bang for a big buck. What else can be said other than the fact that he got bored while waiting for his deal to go through. So what did he do well he saw a dancer that he fancied got her pregnant and left soon after his deal went through. For his first few year the only thing that Aiden knew was the ventilated interior of the small flat that his mother and her roommate owned. Often he would be left with one women or the other. To him at the time it seemed as though there was no difference between the two. Although his mother was more conceded about his existence and did as little as possible in the way of motherhood for her son. Most of the cuddling, storytelling, tucking in and goodnight kisses where carried out but his mothers roommate Kara. Slowly she became like a mother to him and cared less and less about his actual mother. Aiden watched the world around him and took the world around him with a grain of salt. Some how Kara managed to be that bit of sweetness and sarcasm that held his world together. Living on Balosar, Aiden spent most of his time indoors, not by choice however. A mix of mobsters, cutthroats, criminals looking to make a quick buck and the horrendous state of the atmosphere where more than enough to keep him inside although it never was enough to keep his curiosity at bay. So at times he would sneak out to the the outside world in all of it's polluted beauty. Around the time that he would be turning 4 Aiden began to notice his force affinity not that he had any clue what this meant or what it was. At the time all it was was cool. Through alot of self reassuring Aiden finally worked up the nerve to tell Kara at the end of the week. Although that honor was given to Jedi Master Ja'Quen Garsh who arrived the very next day. Taking his mother to a room he discussed the matter with her. All the while Aiden played with Kara in the other room. After what seemed like hours to Aiden his mother and the strange man agreed that he would leave for the Jedi Temple in the morning. After a night full of tears and being held by Kara Aiden fell into a restless sleep awaiting the trip in the morning. Time To Make Friends The years passed to no avail, being a jedi was not what it was all cracked up to be. Nearly eighteen now, the most difficult enemy Aiden had faced was the hormone driven lust of senators daughters and the occasional son. Not that he didn't enjoy the attention, but it definitely made it harder to be playing body guard when your ward continuously flirts with you. It's not like he didn't flirt back though because Aiden was definitely guilty of it. The fact was that it never went anywhere Either it was one thing or the other, the Jedi code would get in the way almost everytime. Once his master had caught him sliding a little to far with one such senators daughter. Aiden didn't hear the end of " the jedi code this and the Jedi code that" for nearly six months. Again those doubts about if being a jedi was really worth it crept back into his mind. The first thing Aiden did stepping off of that shuffle was to take a long deep breath although the air on coruscant was still polluted it was nothing compared the pollutants on Balosar. Doing this earned him a few odd looks from some of the other children on the shuttle. Seeing the how different the hustle and bustle of the Jedi Temple was compared to that of Balosar Aiden wasn't dealing with the amount of culture shock that the other children where. Noting this he tried to lighten their moods with all the horrible, jokes, puns, and tricks that Kara had told him in their time together. Surprisingly these horrid attempts helped the other children keep their minds from the swift change that they where all going through. Almost in no time Aiden had made friends with nearly all of the kids that had previously given him weird looks at the shuttle Eventually all his personality flooded over into the class room. However unlike his fellow pupils Aiden's tutors did not find his merry making very funny and also found it quite disruptive to their class. In all fairness Aiden wasn't doing badly in any of his classes. In fact he was doing above average in atleast of few of them. Nonetheless his personality lead to clashes in the class room. His teachers would pull him from class. They would reprimand him and wag their finger at his saying things such as " stop trying to impress the other and worry about bettering yourself." After this Aiden would nod politely and say yes ma'am or yes sir just like Kara had told him to do. There was just one thing that kept eating at Aiden though. They where reprimanding him for being himself... why couldn't be just be who he wanted and liked to be. This is where the seeds of not wanting to join the Order began. To Aiden his thoughts where, why would I be something that doesn't accept me for me. I can be myself if I want. Time To Grow Up? Hell No! ... Well Maybe Years came and went, new friends wondered into his life and in turn more reprimanding which at this point was just passing through one ear and out the other with each nod and yes sir that came from his mouth. Crazily enough he was nearly twelve, 8 years had came and gone since he'd arrived. Aiden watched as one by one each of his class mates where taken under the wing of one master or another. For the first time since he'd arrived Aiden was envious. Sure these kids where his friends but why where they being picked and not him? It just wasn't fair... he thought about it. Was all this because of his behavior in the class room? It had to be, it couldn't have been a lack of potential. Aiden knew all too well that he was doing well in each class regardless of his behavior. So, he changed himself he let the jokes and messing around fall to when the teachers backs where turned or when they just weren't there. It worked for the most part, there was less talking, less finger wags and most of all there where compliments such as " Aiden I knew you had it in you" he would chuckle after hearing this to himself. That didn't matter now though it had worked and not even a few months later Ja'Quen Garsh. The one who had turned his world upside down would now be his Master. In all honesty Aiden had hardly seen him around the temple and when he had he would walk the other way. Ja'Quen was in fact a Pau'an standing around six foot five. His razor sharp teeth, and black, red ringed eyes would be nightmare fuel for any child or even and adult. Ja'Quen's icy personality did little to help him in any way. Yet again seeds of doubt found their way into Aiden's mind. Mr. Hyde And... Mr. Hyde? Finally Aiden was ready to begin lightsaber construction. He questioned Ja'Quen about the process and the only answers he got where curt and cryptic. one such example was after Aiden had asked about the light saber crystal with Ja'Quen's response being " You must meditate." On their way to Ilum however Aiden was drawn somewhere different. This someplace different happened to be Tatooine once landing Aiden found what he was looking for. A Durindfire gem finding this would probably be Aiden's favorite moment that he could remember whilst being with the Jedi. The way the gem shimmered and sparkled in his hand as he sat aboard the starship clutching it as he ran to begin construction of his lightsaber. Yet again his master was very minimalistic in his approach to training Aiden. Leaving someone with Aiden's personality to their own devices and being cold with each encounter did little in the way to form any bond whatsoever. All that mattered to him right now was making this godforsaken lightsaber made. Nearly a month had passed and he was getting no where fast. Each construction was just as flawed as the last. If it wasn't short circuiting somewhere then it just wouldn't turn on and to the now fourteen year old Aiden it was really starting to get annoying. He'd get aggravated at the fact that he wasn't getting it. So he asked his master for any advice on the master and what would you know pigs do fly. Because for once Ja'Quen gave, in his own distant way good advice. He set a large hand on Aiden's shoulder and looked at him with the black abysses that he had for eyes and told him in his cool dismissive tone to calm himself for once and empty his mind of all the useless thoughts that swirled with in it. Aiden felt a little remise at the advice but at this point what did he have to lose? He took the advise and ran with it. Setting the pieces of his lightsaber in front of him and levitating the shimmering silver crystal at about eye level Aiden began. He started by closing his mind off from all of his goofy, childish thought and actually concentrated. With his eyes closed he saw each piece slide into place, every wire fit perfectly, and so on. Reaching slowly out with eyes still closed his hand clamped onto the lightsaber... no this, this was HIS lightsaber. From memory alone his fingers ignited the saber for the first time slowly opening his eyes Aiden saw the silver burst into view. Nothing Like Home Sweet Home... Right? The icing on the cake for him however was a single mission back to Balosar. He and his master had been sent to hunt down a spice trader and bring them in for questioning about his supplier, The Exchange. All the the council had given them was a code name that the dealer went by which was Pretense. At this point it had been nearly fourteen years since Aiden had set foot on this cesspool. In all honesty he wasn't really ecstatic about coming back in the first place but it was his mission. In fact it would probably be the most exciting if they even managed finding Pretense. Surprisingly within a week of searching the dingy clubs and bars Aiden had came up with a lead. As for his master, unsurprisingly either patrons had been scared or just generally ignored him. Nevertheless Aiden had a lead, he had managed to over hear a conversation between a pair of bar tenants. There was going to be a deal going on between Pretense and a local gang later that night. At one of the many warehouses that doted the surrounding city. After sharing this with his master they made ready. Later that night they sat next to each other in a speeder within view of the said warehouse. A few hours of waiting finally paid off as three speeders pulled up in front of the warehouse. Aiden shook his master from his meditation and gestured towards the speeders. Ja'Quen sat up and watched with Aiden as around ten figures stepped out of the three speeders. Aiden grinned, the adrenaline was already gushing into his veins. There were only so many guard duties someone could pull before wanting something else. And this was that some thing else, he watched on eagerly as the figures took spots around the meeting area. A few minutes later a singular speeder pulled into the dim light infront of the warehouse. Aiden turned to Ja'Quen awaiting his signal, he nodded and Aiden got out of the speeder and crept towards the meeting point. Creeping foward he watched as another female figure stepped out of the recently arrived speeder. He smirked to himself as he crept to behind her speeder. He watched as what seemed to be the leader of the gang and the women met half way and began to speak. Awaiting a signal from his master Aiden watched on quietly. Within a minute or two his comlink buzzed to life with his masters voice " Are you ready my padawan?" Aiden grinned and whispered back " As ready as I'll ever be master." With that Aiden watched as from the shadows behind where the gang had arrived a violet lightsaber flared to life. What followed was utter chaos to behold. While his master cut down the gang members Aiden ran after the now fleeing Pretense. Running after her with Aiden slowly caught up and tackled her. Please with himself he turned her to go and pick her up. Aiden's cocky grin melted as he noticed who Pretense happened to be. Frozen in place he stared at Kara although older with a few wisps of gray hair. He stood there dumbfounded unable to move let alone arrest her and by the looks of it she was having the exact same thing happening in her own mind. Finally shaking himself from the stupor he shook her. Aiden knew she would have to leave there was no way that Ja'Quen would let her slip if he found her. And there was no way that he was going to let her be arrested. He started to push her away telling her to leave and that if she didn't she would be arrested and questioned about her involvement with the Exhange. Aiden turned to look behind him and there standing quietly with his hands crossed was his master. There was no explaining this especially not to Ja'Quen, this was a sign of weakness and weakness to Ja'Quen was unacceptable. Aiden's mind was racing there was no way that he could let her be arrested and there was no way that his master would let her walk. So Aiden did what he did best. Now this is the part where I tell you the sob story about how Aiden tells his master how his mommy was mean to him and Kara took care of him and was like his mother. Well it's not. Silver Hopes And Violet Dreams.... Lesson one. Never raise your lightsaber to a jedi master. No matter what he did it seemed that in less then a few minutes Aiden was slumped against a wall in the alley with his masters Violet saber pointed at his throat. Honestly he accepted his fate, looking into Ja'Quen's eyes there was no remorse, no regret, no anything. Seeing this only forced a bitter taste into Aiden's mouth he looked away and tilted his neck up awaiting his fate. " Disappointing..." Ja'Quen words cut through him Aiden didn't know why but they stung but they did. With that a single blaster shot rang out into the night. Flinching at the sudden noise he opened his eyes to see his now once master falling to the ground with Kara standing behind, a blaster shaking in one hand. The single thought passing through his mind wasn't worry for his master now it was that he was in his own way free? There was no way he would be able to return to the jedi council and explain all that had happened. Finally he had an excuse to leave, an excuse to rid himself of all of those tedious rules of the the Jedi code. Shaken from his thoughts Kara ran up and hugged him and he hugged her back. They made a brief exchange before leaving for her home. Aiden made a point in retrieving both his and Ja'Quen's lightsabers before leaving. Aiden spent the next few days collecting his thoughts and catching up with Kara. She told him about the drama of living on Balosar, how annoying everything and everyone was. For once Aiden actually genuinely listened, to his joy for the first time in years he was himself and was able to be so without worrying about being reprimanded. IT GREAT, though he still regretted that Ja'Quen had died for nothing at this point. Nevertheless he had to move on, and he did by finally asking Kara how she managed to entangle herself with the Exchange. She explained how by being a dealer she was practically immune to every gang on Balosar. She went on and on about how good it was, well as good as a thing such as the exchange could be. The more he heard the more he thought about it. He'd be away from the republic's grasp, it'd be the perfect spot to hide and most of all he could be himself. If all worked out well he'd even make a easy credit from it best of all. After very little thought and very little planning Aiden said goodbye once again to Kara and set out on an adventure of his choice one that has led him to Nar Shaddaa of all places in hopes of finding some lead into the Exchange. |
