"Looming" has never been a particular concern of his, and in fact his natural gait possesses a slight swagger. Despite this apparent confidence, he's prone to restless fidgeting - a flaw he finds endlessly annoying whenever it resurfaces. Imago's face is angular and expressive, with dark almond shaped eyes. His wears his black hair short and neat -- slightly at odds with scruffy, slow growing facial hair. Darkside corruption is somewhat evident when Imago draws on the Force, tinting the irises of his eyes an uncanny yellow. He dresses for the occasion but always well. Personal vanity demands nothing less. Personality Profile Imago is a darkly charming man with a biting sense of humor. He is self-assured even to his own detriment, with a taste for daredevil antics and the finer things in life. He is passionate in all things but notoriously fickle in his attentions. Given to sudden flights of fancy and leaps of logic, Imago moves fast and on instinct, without too much dwelling on the details. Imago hates nothing more than talking about himself in any serious capacity, deflecting with humor or caustic barbs. He is deeply ambitious but only to a particular point -- Imago enjoys the freedom and benefits of the Sith Order but has little to no interest in leading it in any capacity. Lady Batriu - A minor Sith lady of the cult of mysteries, aged 59. Overall History • Micah was born into a large banking family late into his father's life. Expectations and parental attention were never particularly high -- he would likely follow in the steps of his middle brothers, a wasted wastrel living comfortably in the heart of a revitalized Empire. It looked like, perhaps, not the most fulfilling life for an ambitious young man, but it was hard to argue with how easy it all seemed. And of course, if he ever showed some spark of brilliance, there would be a job with the family company waiting for him. Conjured out of nothing. Like all young men, Micah thought he surely was that brilliant. And that he had plenty of time to have his fun first. Unfortunately, Micah's father derailed all of that quite suddenly while Micah was coasting through his second year of a near-useless business degree. Lucas Farazen had, seemingly, a sudden fit of conscience and defected to the Republic along with much of his sizable fortune and rumored corporate secrets. His escape did not go unnoticed. Darth Novus had all the remaining Farazens questioned and, eventually, executed. Micah alone was spared once his Force sensitivity was uncovered -- so long as he submitted immediately to training. There was no arguing with the Dark Lady, and no "better choice." Micah was on a shuttle to Korriban the next day. The first few weeks were by far the hardest, adjusting to the unfamiliar power dynamics of the Order. And from the very bottom of the social ladder. At nineteen, he was older than a fair few of the other recruits and far behind most in their studies. For once, Micah was forced to apply himself. While he did not quite blossom, his many attempts at conjuring the Sith's iconic force lightning did eventually earn some unusual attention. In specifics, because he couldn't. What he could do was accidentally light nearby objects on fire. This unusual manifestation of the darkside earned Micah his first teacher, Lady Batriu. Micah began to fair rather better in his studies under Lady Batriu's attention. An adapt manipulator herself, she encouraged her student toward a similar focus: while talented, Micah would plainly never be the strongest Sith, at least in this generation. But there were other paths to power. After the Empress united the Empire and the Order, the latter needed liaisons to mingle with the former. With the benefits of a Galactic education and no small amount of personal charm, Micah found himself very well suited. And as his reputation for good, discrete work began to increase, Micah joined the Cult of Truth as a Sith Knight, taking the name Imago. Years later, Imago has risen to the very height of his ambitions: serving Dark Empress Renata directly as her personal messenger and sometimes spy. During the Archeri invasion, Imago found himself on the front line of the Empire's investigative efforts. He accompanied a small team of Sith on a fact-finding mission to Teth following that planet's infestation. While they discovered quite a bit about the aliens from Wild Space, Imago and other members of the team were badly injured. After barely escaping the former resort-world with his life, Imago spent many months recovering under the watch of unexpected allies -- The Exchange. Returning to Imperial space with a few extra scars, Imago continues to enjoy the Empress's trust, accompanying her during the testing phase of the new Hecatomb ritual. |
