Appearance Face Claim • Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell series) Height & Weight • 5’11” 175 lbs Overall Looks • Phantom is a rather good looking fellow, with a rugged face and salt and pepper hair. It is generally kept short and quickly styled so as to stay in place. His skin has a very slight gold tint to it, looking more like a tan than anything. His dark eyes, green to the point of almost being black, have an almost dead, glassy look to them, and are almost always half lidded in an attractive manner, giving him a dark, roguish look. They do hold a cold intelligence to them, and always seems to be calculating everything before him. Phantoms body is lithe, like a sprinter’s. While not the strongest, he is tone and in excellent shape. He isn’t the tallest person around and blends in just about anywhere he went. He normally wears either the Republic’s standard uniform, or in his combat armor. His mask is more of a memento of his past, and he rarely wears it anymore, and instead uses other methods to conceal his face. His body contains scars from years of combat and abuse. Overall, he looks older than he should, especially with his hair color and hard face. Cybernetics: Phantom had to get much of his body worked on, and portions of it replaced. To begin, his eyes were damaged and had to be replaced. His eyes are very hard to make out as cybernetic, taking someone getting a very close, careful look at him. They reflect light like an animal and allows him to see in extreme low light conditions, as well as thermal capabilities and UV, switching between them with the flick of a thought. His right eye has electronic magnification of up to x8 magnification, and his left has a recorder and can be linked to a transmitter so others can get a view from his perspective. His cybernetic eyes pick up more subtle movements, allowing him to act and react faster than a normal person. His knees and elbows were replaced with Terenthium-Desh Alloy, because those joints were shattered and there was a good chance that they wouldn’t heal fully. Finally, he has artificial ear implants. The fire from the crash melted his eardrums. He can hear higher and lower tones than before, allowing him to hear many things he couldn't before, and detect air pressure changes, such as a door opening. Personality Profile Phantom is a man who prefers to be alone, be it out in the field or in his personal life. He doesn’t have any close friends, and doesn’t stay around work long when he doesn’t need to. He is a quiet man, speaking with really when he needs to, and showing more wisdom and almost a philosophical use of words when he does so. He has come a long ways since he joined the Republic however; and uses copious amounts of sass and sarcasm when he speaks, when the situation calls for it. Phantom still holds a deep seeded depression, but he has cleaned himself up in the last several years. He has a sense of his own free will now, but still subjects himself to the will of his superiors. He also still has a deep distrust of any force user, always staying on his guard and keeping his mind blocked off from them. Background Father • Hidlida (Dead) Mother • Suzanne (Dead) Siblings • None. Overall History • The Past: Zwei, born Invidios Tristitia, was the son to a Human mother and a Firrerreo Father. Suzanne Invidia was part the Republic, Military Intelligence division. Hidlida Invidia was with the Republic Ministry of Defense, the civilian side of the same job as Suzanne. Growing up, he never had much time to spend with his parents. They would often go off Corellia and to other Republic planets, for one reason or another, leaving him alone with a nanny droid to take care of him. This nanny droid was called Elva, and had a sweet, if strict, personality matrix. Invidios hated continuously dealing with the droid, and, any chance he got, escaped from her four armed clutch. He went to school, did his homework, acted like any other child for the first 12 years of his life. He was happy to spend time with his parents when they were around, and was saddened when they were away. Invidios was your average child growing up. He played at school, even if he was a little bit of a troublemaker, but any child would be. He managed to avoid any serious trouble, though, so nothing ever really bad happened to the child. Growing up in a district with many Epicanthix, so he picked up on their accent: nothing major, but enough to sound exotic when he spoke. Sometime after Invidios turned 12, his parents never returned from a business trip. He learned two days after what happened that they were killed on Manaan during a flash Anti-Republic riot. Why though, he didn't know. Invidios wanted nothing more than to seek revenge and kill who killed his parents with his own two hands. A week later, he learned that the Republic Special Forces took care of the deed, killing the person or persons who killed his parents He was told this by a former co-worker of his father. Denied his revenge, a bitter Invidios drifted into a depression. This was the first time Invidios detached himself from the world. He did only what he had to to pass his class, so his grades remained average, or under. He was taken care of by his aunt, who was a lawyer, and who was also a widow. She spent more time with the child than his parents did, but not by much, and it was never the same. For years, his depression never lifted. Invidios drifted from his friends, and started really slacking off when he started school work. By the time Zwei his high school, almost 15, he was a delinquent. He got into fights regularly, and, in his second year, almost was kicked out of school, but all was cleared up. Invidios was labeled as a delinquent during his first year of high school, which didn't really bother him too much, but it did give people the impression that he was part of a gang, which he wasn't. He eventually befriended a young man named Jonathan: Jonny-boy as he was called within the gangs. While neither were trained fighters, they were decent brawlers, and knew how to take a punch. Jonny-boy was someone who was influential in helping to break Invidios out of his depressive state. While at first, he decided to remain alone and do what he told, some overbearingly loud and obnoxious kid named Jonny-boy would always try to cheer him up. After a few weeks, though, Jonny-boy began to get real reaction out of Invidios. It was only a little bit longer after that that Invidios and Jonny-boy were constantly together, usually slacking off somewhere. Jonny-boy began to spend less and less time around the gangs, which benefited Invidios quite well, especially with his slow recovery. After their first year of school, compaired to how he was, Invidios made some good progress. Invidios missed his first day of his second year of school, but came in on his second, without an excuse. His relationship with Jonny-boy resumed, and it seemed as if it would be easier for Invidios to open up and branch off more. He also learned that Jonny-boy left the gang he was in, and simply became a delinquent. Of course, as things has to be, Invidios and Jonny couldn't avoid trouble. They were out for a walk at night when they were caught in a crossfire between two gangs, one being the one who Jonny-boy use to be apart of. Jonny-boy was shot in the stomach and chest, as well as a few other people. Invidios was shot in the left shoulder and chest, temporarily collapsing his left lung. Two people died that night: Jonny-Boy was spared, as he got kolto quick enough. He was in there for a good week and a half before being released. As soon as he was, Zwei and Jonny-Boy left the gang. In fact, Jonny left the town completely, heading for a smaller town on the other side of the planet. When the authorities told the school principal about that night, Invidios was nearly kicked out, and was only saved by his aunt and a known member of the gang, who confirmed that Invidios was never with them, or the other gang, and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Without a valid reason to get kicked out, Invidios resumed his normal school life, closed off from everyone again. Invidios's attendance, which was never the best, still needed some help, but at least he was making a little progress overall without his former friend around to pull him away. Progress went much better after meeting a young woman named Erin. It took him a little while to realize that he was making more progress on his attendance throughout that school year. Somehow, he passed that grade, which was almost as surprising as him passing his first year. His third and final year of high school, he did even better, and slowly realized he was falling in love, and that he was less and less detached as time went on. Her parents were odd, yet very nice people, running a bakery. He spent most of his free time there, if not generally helping out, then freeloading. Invidios graduated high school with decent grades, and went to work with the Ministry of Defense Combat Division, moving to Coruscant. Erin, meanwhile, decided to go to college on Corellia, and kept helping out around her family’s bakery. The two kept in touch still, but the long distance relationship was hard. His first year out of highschool, up until he was just over 19, he traveled between Coruscant and Corellia, not just to see Erin, but to practice on his piloting of different ships, as per was his requirements with the Ministry. He said his final good-by at the time, to the young woman. Invidios was paired with senior members, so he learned quickly about his job. He learned to dress the part and seem inconspicuous. He also learned how to pick up cues on possible trackers and stalkers: pretty much anything that could lead that person to being an assassin. When not a bodyguard, he was tasked, usually as a door guard, or spent his time in the training room. Invidios learned some hand to hand combat and was an extremely skilled marksman. Whenever Invidios had the time, He would work on bettering his skills. He learned much during his six month training for his job in the ministry, but learning combat and gaining his marksmanship skills were on him. He took extra classes, and learned how to survive with four or five hours of sleep a night. Invidios wanted to get better and stronger, wanting nothing more than to protect people. His parents death, as well as his thoughts and feelings for Erin help motivate him, and whenever he felt like breaking down or quitting, he thought about what he was working towards, and powered through it. After all, there was always a light at the end of the tunnel. Invidios began lone work as a bodyguard for government officials, often going around the galaxy with them. He gained much knowledge on different species from around the galaxy, and learned customs for many of them. Eventually, he stayed on long enough to be guarding senators as they made their way to and from Coruscant. This led to him meeting a Corellian senator’s daughter, and shipyard owner (Atlas corp.), and a lesser known loan shark by the name of Claudia stone: a woman with dark blond hair, penetrating brown eyes, and a quality that made people want to listen and do things for her. Needless to say, she was fairly good at talking, and leaning things to her benefit. Whenever she came to Coruscant, she would have Invidios as her bodyguard. This progressed for a few months, until Claudia convinced Invidios to leave the Ministry, after his contract of three years was up. Claudia Stone was 'around the late 30's', so, to the man, and everyone else, was a very attractive woman: her looks were one of the ways she pulled Invidios to her, as well as the money. It was a better paying job: by a good couple hundred credits every paycheck, not counting any bonuses and perks. Bodyguard work wasn’t the only work he did. Being the daughter of a senator, owning a shipyard, and being a loan shark, she had to be at the top of her game to deal with that. Anyone who decided to try to steal a ship, or fail to pay back there dues, was dealt with by Invidios. He began his work with Claudia at the age of 21, and got more training with different, sometime exotic, weapons, as well as some martial arts, mainly to stay in shape. While not the strongest person around, he knew how to use people’s body weight against them, and throw his own weight into people. He learned all of this over the years of working with Atlas Corp. One of the missions took more than a month, and earned Invidios a hit on his head. He was Just over 22 at the time, and was sent out by Claudia to deal with someone who decided to not pay back his due. Coruscant was the place where Invidios started his search, going to the home of record for his target, a man named Chris. Tearing the place apart, he, and two other people working with Atlas went through all the records, and learned that Chris went to Zeltros, and that he had been in contact with a woman named Samantha. That was the next destination for the small assembly of people. They travelled there in haste, and landed within the capital city, where their slicing expert learned that was where the messages were originated from. After back tracking the IP address, they found the place where the bills were being paid. However, the place was abandoned, and, Invidios determined, not very long ago: Probably only hours prior. He decided to wait out the time, each of the three rotating throughout two days of watching the house. Invidios just ended his shift, and went to sleep when he got a call that their targets arrived back to the house. Returning right back to the house, the three of them knocked. When the door opened, Invidios vaguely recognized the man, but couldn't place where he saw him before. Despite that, this man was so taken aback at seeing his three random men appear before him that he didn’t realize that the other two stormed inside. They grabbed him, brought him into the living room, and tossed him on the couch: the woman was nowhere to be found. The man tried to explain that he was a simple spice addict; that need for a high making him take money from Atlas Corp. and his failure to pay it back. Invidios knew that such a lone would be stupid, so, after a little persuasion from the other two, told them that he was buying and selling en masse. He had his shipment stolen, which was why he couldn’t sell any of the spice, but was working on making money to pay Atlas Corp. back. That was when an explosion went off: the front door was blown in. Quickly, Invidios jumped on the other side of the couch. One member of his team managed to get cover as well. The third wasn’t so lucky and took a slug to the head. The took off while the intruders covered him. When the shooting stopped, Invidios and the last member of his team ran after the intruders and their target. The spaceport was their final firefight. It was four against two. Invidios was shot in the left side of his torso, a flesh wound that looked worse than it really was, and was a nice target zone it seemed, and his teammate was killed. However, two of their opponents were killed, the target man was wounded and couldn’t fight anymore, and the fourth ran away. Invidios found the target, who was trying to crawl away, but was losing too much blood, and couldn’t go very fast with a hole in his leg. He tried to pull a gun on Invidios, and got of a shot, hitting the man in the arm. Without a blink, the man pulled pulled his own trigger, putting the man down with a stun blast. Accomplished, Invidios took everything of use and money looted from the target man stole the starship who’s hanger they were in, and went back to Atlas Corp. and Claudia, with the target man, to report what has happened. He had detached himself one again after this mission, which brought back memories of Erin. After years of not talking to the woman, he decided to fly back to his old town and see how the woman was doing. It turns out that she now worked and ran the bakery all by her lonesome, and was surprised and glad to see her old friend and lover. Her parents decided to go on a trip around the galaxy, leaving the small business to her. Invidios worked with her for the next few days, catching up with each other and reminiscing on old times. Invidios kept some of his work a secret from the woman, but otherwise spoke freely. Invidios continued working with Atlas Corp. while living with Erin. The two were once again in love with each other; something which, on the inside, Claudia didn’t like, and she was very much interested in the younger man. She didn’t let him know that, but let him have his little fun. He was just under 23 at the time. After he finally hit 23, Invidios asked Erin to marry him, which she tearfully said yes. They were set to be married the next year. Work progressed normally with Erin and Invidios, with the exception that Claudia was keeping the man longer and longer from his fiance. Missions were going up in time away from Erin, putting distance between the two of them. Stress from work, Claudia, as well as being away from his home for so long finally caused Invidios to snap, and he exploded on his Fiance in a harsh, nearly one-sided argument. After Invidios was all winded out, and he took a second to take a few breaths, he realised what happened. Erin was in the corner of the house before him, on the ground crying her eyes out. Something painful rose up out of Invidios's gut, and he collapsed against the far wall, his own emotions, other than anger, flooding out. When Erin witnessed this, she went to him, and they sat together, both emotional. She said that it was this man who she fell in love with, and couldn't stand what Atlas Corp. was making him do, and turning him into. Tearfully, Invidios said that he would quit the corporation, and live a simple life here with his future wife. The next day, Invidios told Claudia that he was going to quit Atlas Corp. and enjoy a simple life. He didn't have a permanent contract like what he had with the Ministry, and all Claudia asked for was a few more months to get things set up so he could leave. Agreeing, Invidios left to go back home. Secretly, Claudia paid some mercs to give Invidios a little gift. At the age of 24, four months before he was to be married, Invidios was in an accident that wasn’t an accident: a bombing of his speeder. His body was ruined, and it would take cybernetics, along with his natural healing abilities, for him to make a full recovery. Because he was on the job for Claudia, his second to last one actually, Atlas Corp. was the ones to pay for his surgery Invidios had to get much of his body worked on, and portions of it replaced and enhanced, ((previously listed.)) To top it off, severe trauma to his brain, which was the slowest to heal, as well as a cocktail of drugs, effectively locked away most, if not all, of Invidios's memories. He knows nothing of his life up to the age of 25. He didn’t wake up until he was 25, though: a three month period of being in a coma, and most of that spent in a kolto tank. He woke up in a hidden complex on Tatooine, secretly provided by Claudia’s secret double life’s group, Azura, in a rundown warehouse where much of Invidios’s new life would take place. He wasn’t alone, but had a few people there to help him out: or rather, abuse and break. Azura was the name of a much larger organization made up of several smaller cells, which was spread throughout the galaxy, with holdings with the Republic, Sith, Hutts, Mandalorians, and some of the larger criminal organization. Claudia was one of the board members, and a supplier of credits and tech. In turn, it was Azura who rebuild Tristitia, and gave him the name Zwei, the second successful fully loyal assassin. Zwei, as he was now called, was forced to go through physical therapy, getting his strength back, and accustomed to the new weight in his body. From before dawn until after dusk each day, he was force to run and train endlessly, and with little break. Zwei's physical therapy doubled as a testing phase, so he could heal and see if his cybernetics would fully work with his body. He was the second subject to have a similar set of cybernetics, but Zwei knows not of what happened to the subject. Zwei, knowing nothing else, did as he was told, and progressed through his therapy. His cybernetics had a 97% acceptance rate, and his body's natural healing capabilities were working as they should. They kept careful track of him to see if any of his memories surfaced from his scarred brain, but nothing outside of what he was taught was seen. He was but a puppet now. Nearly a year after the 'accident', Zwei he was deemed of average for a human in terms of physical powers, and he was put on a rigorous training regime. To Zwei, the days all seemed to all blend in together. From dawn until dusk, he was running, doing push-ups, sit-ups, pull ups… whatever he was told to. He learned not to talk back and simply do as he was told. It took less than a month for Zwei to become broken mentally, and that was where his body began to be rebuilt. About a month and a half in, Zwei was trained with pistols, shooting pieces of scrap, bricks, old windows, whatever was out on the range. Days on end, he kept up the same repetition of simply sending an endless supply of rounds downrange. He got as good as shooting six small targets at a range of 50 meters in less than two seconds with a basic revolver-style slugthrower. Zwei’s brawling, which he somewhat remembered, was tuned in and, while not a martial arts, consisted of a mix of a few martial arts. (The equivalent of muay thai, Jeet Kune Do, and boxing.) These were revised into something that he is able to bring forth at any time, and could also include a weapon. For close combat weapons, Zwei was trained up on the smaller and more inconspicuous, never much anything large, such as swords. Knives and a fiber cable were his only tools. These were mostly for silent assassinations rather than full on combat. Therefore, he doesn't have as much training with them as someone else. Stealth was a big thing: able to get in, close enough to the target and kill them, and get out, all without being recognized or sometimes, seen. Blending into the shadows was a main point. Couldn't have someone stumbling around now can we? He was never let up from his physical training, which was constantly pressuring on him. His body was toned and honed into that of a killer, but his looks, which had youth to them thanks to his alien blood, didn’t make him look like a killer. This brutal training lasted for six months: afterwards, Zwei was sent on a test: kill a that had double crossed Azura mercenary. Total time on Tatooine: one year and 8 months. This was the first real test, with Claudia, her current body guard, and two other board members from Azura. The man was aloud ten standard minutes to go inside the Tatooine complex, and get whatever he wanted from the armory. After the ten minutes were up, Zwei went after him. After a short standoff, Zwei killed the man with a shot though his head. He had to detach himself again, his killing instinct showing in his eyes. Zwei learned three days later that the commando was named Adam James an alias which Zwei took for himself, or rather, Azura decided to give him to blend in with the rest of the galaxy. After all, Tristitia no longer existed. Zwei hated his work, but, because he had no recollection of his past, did what he was told to to the best of his abilities, which was substantial. He was given a small house on Corellia, far from where he previously lived. He picked up more skills, as well as becoming so detached from everything that he convinced himself that this was nothing but a dream he was living in. When the Mandalorians decided to attack and try to take control of the galaxy, the mercenary people cut ties with Azura, leaving them hanging. Ties were also cut when the Sith attacked as well. Without these two powers, Azura sent out their assassin against both Sith and Mandalorians. He never really went up against force user’s without back-ups, unless he had a good jump, but he can get close to higher-ups within the Sith. Mandalorians are a different story. He knows he needs to be careful around them, as well as know how to mix and mingle. He has picked up some Mando’a, and knows how to hold a basic conversation: he doesn’t really have a need to speak too long with them; otherwise, his missions could be compromised. Still, he never felt like he was doing anything worthwhile, which was what he felt like he should be doing. Watching the news, he understood that the Sith and the Mandalorians were people to be defeated, but something continued to tug at the back of his mind. He also began to think about what his life was like before he became the man he was now. He began looking into things, using contacts he accumulated during his time with Azura, and tried to figure out who he was. He never even got a name of who he once was. He never felt distressed at this: he had nothing left to feel, and continued doing what he was best at: killing. Eventually, working as an assassin earned him the nickname ‘Phantom of Azura,’ or just Phantom. He was feared outside of Azua, and looked up to as something more within. As Phantom, he wears a white mask basic designs, usually of blue or red. He earned it for his stealth, and killing, and generally causing internal chaos wherever he goes. He makes his living killing ‘of his own free will’ for Azura now, often retreating to his small house on Corellia. Zwei both hated and liked the nickname given to him. He wore it only because it got him away from the names Zwei and Adam, which he despised more than anything else. He felt no enjoyment with anything he did, be it working or during his off time. At 28, young for a Firrerreo, even an hybrid like Zwei, he should have been out having fun. Instead, he was a broken man and a puppet, being forced to do what he was told until he got the will and the courage to leave. It didn't take long after this for Zwei to finally get his break. He was to go into the Republic Military, and that's exactly what he did, after a few missions for Azura. Using his birth name, he was introduced into the Military, skipping the usual basic training, and he was shot straight into the Special Forces training. The months went fast, as he showed everyone up. This includes the instructors. Once he was finished, he was given the commissioned rank of Lieutenant. He missed the Battle of Taris thanks to training, but he is now ready for action with the Pubs. Immediately, he gave up the name Zwei, as well as sold out Azura. With his help, the majority of the leaders of the Organization were killed, and it was successfully destroyed. Invidios kept the nickname of Phantom, it becoming more his usual name, such as Zwei was before. The man became the Republics Phantom; a shadow and blade in the dark for them, infiltrating places no one should be able to and gathering information, or even killing of he needs to. During the Battle of Coruscant, Phantom was there in the middle of it, proving himself to be every bit of a soldier as anyone else, his cybernetics making him deadly in any environment. Afterwards, with the Cold War going on, he turned his skills of infiltration to other targets, such as pirates, but he was always given places close to known Sith areas so he could gather information on them. Phantom would always have work to do so long as there was some sort of work to do. |
