Appearance
Face Claim • The... Above? I wish I could state the creator of it or who it's of, but I've lost track of both.
Height & Weight • 5’6” Tall; 120 lbs
Overall Looks • Rayna is a slender, thin girl with blue-green colored eyes.
She wears her hair long and loose, and it is of an almost pure jet-black hue. Her skin is of a fair tone, but has been kissed with a healthy amount of sun, as per her jungle world origins.
In terms of a sense of fashion, Rayna is very simple minded. She’ll often wear a set of plain Jedi robes unless such is otherwise warranted. For instance, she will often don disguises whilst engaging in intrigue. For diplomatic purposes, she’s also been allowed by her master and by the Order to keep a formal set of clothes on hand, which she keeps close but only wears when such is required.
Rayna also used to wear a Maisal Family medallion beneath her robes, the only piece of jewelry that she ever regularly donned. She has since stopped wearing it, however.
Personality Profile
Although Rayna can get rather aggressive and, indeed, feisty when threatened...
...Her standard personality is one of meekness and innocence, much like that of a normal 18-year old girl's. Especially when nobody's looking.
For instance, when alone in a field, she might gleefully frolic through it, singing happy songs whilst collecting flowers! But when somebody of importance is around, her personality will immediately change into one far more acceptable for a Jedi Padawan.
Rayna is barely an adult, and is still struggling to outgrow her adolescence, so sometimes, her emotions can be almost like a roller coaster. Unless, of course, she's trying to concentrate on keeping full control of them. Something very dangerous for a Jedi...

Overall History •
≪ Childhood ≫
Rayna was born into an ennobled house on the mid-rim world of Onderon. Her father was an Admiral in the Royal Onderonian Navy, and her mother a noblewoman renown for her explorations of the planet’s jungles, diplomatic dealings with the Beast Riders, and the upkeep of a horological greenhouse and museum in the city of Iziz. Although both were quite politically inclined, her father was also a member of the Council of Lords, and therefore possessed a seat in the main legislative body of the star system.
When a visiting Jedi Sentinel on a diplomatic mission to the Queen of Onderon’s court overheard her parents’ discussion of some strange activities that they had observed from her, he decided to have her midichlorian count tested. When the results came back with a very strong result, Rayna’s parents were quite conflicted as to whether they would let the Jedi Order train their child, for despite being a member of the Republic, many of the people of Onderon were still quite wary toward involving themselves in Galactic affairs. As well, Rayna’s parents feared that their child might never return home again if given over to the Order, and were hesitant to let her go. However, in the end, her parents consented to allow their youngest child to be taken by the Jedi, fearing that the Sith might otherwise try to take her from the family by force at a later date.
During her childhood as a Jedi youngling, Rayna demonstrated a remarkable aptitude in her skills with the force. She excelled in learning in a great many different areas of her Jedi training, becoming a rather well-balanced student during her time at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. However, she excelled most in the practice of her Force abilities, and proved herself to be quite an exemplary student.
Despite her apparent skill with the Force, her various other studies and her concentration on her Force skills kept Rayna from focusing as much on lightsaber training. Rayna had feared that she would fail the ensuing lightsaber competition that she had to pass in order to be given a master and would, therefore, be sentenced to work in the service corps of the Jedi Order. Which... She actually didn’t mind all that much, hoping to serve either in the Exploration Corps or in colony development should it have come to that! But even as she did not entirely dread this prospect, she had still hoped that she might be taken as a padawan in order to see the rest of the Galaxy under the careful watch of a knight…
However, such was not to be. For the competitions were canceled a few shorts months before Rayna was scheduled to compete in them due to the ongoing war. As such, she was able to skip the trials, and a Jedi Consular by the name of Libnia Theadou quickly took Rayna as her padawan, sensing a great deal of potential in her...
≪ Padawanship ≫
Libnia Theadou continued to foster Rayna’s training and studies in the Force as they aided in the Republic in the war effort. Theadou was a just and kind mentor, a very nurturing teacher for the young padawan. Although rather strict with her somewhat energetic apprentice at times, Libnia genuinely cared for her, and the middle-aged knight became the closest thing to a mother that Rayna had been exposed to since she has been taken from Onderon. The two became extremely close as they traveled the Outer Rim region of the galaxy, and became an efficiently working team over the course of the next 4 years.
However, as is the case in war, Rayna’s master eventually fell in battle. During a skirmish between Republic and Imperial forces over the ruins of the old Jedi Temple at Dantooine, Libnia was slain by an unknown Sith Lord in the frenzy of a lightsaber duel. With her master now deceased, Rayna was forced to take charge of what remained of she and her master’s command during the frenzy of battle.
Although she managed to conduct an orderly withdrawal of her forces from Dantooine, and was widely praised by her immediate superiors for her actions, the young padawan was overcome by a deep feeling of shame and regret for having not done more to save her master during the battle... A few months later, the war ended, denying Rayna an opportunity to face her master’s killer.
After returning to the Jedi Temple a few weeks later, Rayna was assigned a new master, this time a Jedi Knight by the name of Araya Ves’kade. Although the two were very different people, they quickly bonded as they traveled the galaxy on behalf of the Republic and the Jedi Order. They continue to do so as Rayna is instructed in the ways of the Force.
